Viator is no the route to go through. I booked a reservation and when we got there they didnt have bikes and tried to get us to do other activities instead. We ended up not doing it at all. I wasted time and hopefully i get my money back. I paid for the whole group and it was over $500..

We have 2 children so it was easier to use the bigger E-Bikes with the added seats on the back. Not having to actually pedal with the extra weight was a huge factor that made the experience better. Otherwise we would have been really tired! Our kids on the back were able to video record parts of the bike ride. Would do it again.

Beautiful scenic ride with the family. Wish we had brought swim suits for a dip along the way on the gorgeous warm day. Bikes were easy to ride even with kids on the back.

Pack a lunch to eat at the beach. Bring a towel so you can take a dip. Great way to spend the day. Enjoy the ride :)

We enjoyed our ride to Sand Harbor...the views were breathtaking. I would recommend taking bathing suits as it was hot when we got to the beach and we were not prepared to swim. The bikes were easy to use and we had a great time.

Easy to set up and get going. They airdropped us places to ride to. We rented for 2 hrs and did the Sand Harbor trail. It was beautiful, easy to follow and we were able to go down to lake for a bit before coming back. My teens loved it!! It was the first time I tried an E-bike and I had a great time too

Excellent quality e-bikes, clean helmets and pouches to store water bottles/small items, beautiful bike path around Lake Tahoe. Small hiccup with services as advertised —> minus 1 star. Booked for 4 people-2 adults, 1 child, 1 youth. Was initially told this cost only covered 2 bikes!!! Then, employee tried to talk his away around the issue so I called the store manager who informed me our fee would cover 4 bikes for 4 persons as specified. Then, as we were pulling away, we were flagged down by an employee to tell us our fee only covered 3 people and would need to “settle” the bill when we returned. Once we returned, we were informed all is OK and no additional fees needed. I looked in detail at the Viator listing which did not specify that the youth charge didn’t include a e-bike. I’m glad the business made the right call to not charge us which was a plus for service recovery. Nonetheless, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth during the ride. On the flip side, it was thoughtful of the employees to walk us from the bike shop to the path which was a few blocks away. Great experience, quality goods, would book directly with business next time (would prob be cheaper!).

Hey Jonathan,
Sorry for the confusion, there’s a glitch in our system, and your family was able to take advantage of our glitch and rent out E bikes for your family of four less than the price we charge. It caused confusion with one of our staff members as Children and infant usually ride in kids seats on the back of the bike or on rear cushions and do not operate their own electric bicycles. The person that went and flagged you down was me the owner, and I decided to not make a hassle of it and told you not to worry about it when you got back. I decided to shoulder the extra charge and not charge that to you because it was our problem, setting it up with this third-party booking system. I know it must’ve been confusing for you, but I hope this helps it all makes sense for you.

Employees are in a rush to get you done. Would have been cheaper to go through the bike shop rather than viator. Seat kept sliding down they didn't help adjust, NO bottle holder, Phone bag falling off.

You are right that we do get busy :-)
I’m surprised to hear that you didn’t feel that we took good care of you because we do help all of our guests. Adjust their seats should they ask as well as ride them down the first part of the route to make sure they’re comfortable on their bikes after giving them a full demo on how to operate them.
We also provide our guest with bungees so they can bring a picnic or backpack, helmets, and a lock so they can stop. We also provide a route that we upload the people’s phones and it’s stowed on the bike in a pouch. We’re sorry to hear that your pouch came loose and we would be happy to adjust it for you next time. We took all of the water bottle holders off of our bikes because it made it so people were tripping when they attempted to step through the step through area. We are sorry you prefer the water bottle cage to bing it on or stowing it in your backpack. In addition, with the throttle we felt it was necessary to not have people use their other hand to attempt to drink their water while riding. We hope you’ll join us again and we look forward to the opportunity to taking care of you and your family. The next time you visit.

Horrible experience! I reserved a date and time also paid ahead for everything. When I showed up for my reservations, there was no bikes available for my children. We had to wait until some became available not to mention one of our bikes kept having problems with the chains consistently coming off. The whole process was annoying from the beginning when we showed up. Would I do this again. Yes with this bike shop, I do not recommend!

Hello Vanessa, thank you for booking our self guided E bike tour. Are you sure you booked ahead and paid for your reservation? Our real time booking system reserves bikes for our guests and does not allow for over booking. All of our bikes are properly maintained, and sometimes there is user error when people try to cross shift That are unfamiliar with how to use a derailer system. The only reason the chain would come off the bike is if the derailer was not adjusted properly or was broken. All of our bikes are maintained properly. We’d be happy to have you and your family back in the future and would be happy to give you a better demo because it sounds like it wasn’t effective. Thank you for Pointing out that you guys were having trouble shifting on your bike tour. As for no bikes, being available, that doesn’t sound accurate. So I would have to disagree with that criticism because our booking system doesn’t allow for double bookings to happen. :-)

Wow, so much fun. Highly recommend.
Took a few minutes to get used to the bikes as was our first time riding them. We took a few laps around parking lot before we took off. And then…we were off. The views were outstanding. If in doubt, don’t be. Worth the money!

Great tour operator. Have used e-bikes before in SFO and Vail, but these were the nicest. Very easy. Beautiful scenic route took about 3 hours at leisurely pace and could have spent more time at Sand Harbor. Highly recommend

The assistance to pickup the bikes was friendly. Riding the bike path was super easy with the e-bikes. Amazing views that we were able to see even on a rainy day. Access to some of the beaches/coves best from the bike path with places to lock up the bike along the way.

This was a lot of fun and a great way to see the lake. We could stop and take pictures along the way and the E-bikes made inclines so easy. This was our first time on E-bikes and they made sure we were comfortable with how to operate them before we ever went out on them.

We had a group of three couples in our early sixties, and it was the first time we've used e-bikes. They were amazing and easy to use to navigate the trail at Lake Tahoe. The operator provided everything we needed--helmets, directions, etc. , and it made for a great three and a half hours in a truly beautiful setting. We don't plan to ever pedal a regular bike again!

The quick rundown of how the bikes work and where we can go within the 4 hour time limit was very helpful. We enjoyed the bikes, and being able to switch between pedaling full steam ahead or using the motor part for uphill parts or when we just wanted to bike without pedaling. The views of the gorgeous scenery while biking around Lake Tahoe was breathtaking and enjoyed by the whole group. We were able to park out bikes and enjoy lunch at the water before heading back. Thanks for the wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend!

Getting lost, coming back in… some sort of landmark to get us back to shop. Besides a map air dropped, that does no good when you get separated from your spouse:( A legit paper map with recommended route back in for us older folks! Employees were great… super nice:)
