Staff was very friendly....

Staff was very friendly. Bikes were in good shape. Trail takes you to Sand Harbor where there are some beautiful pictures to take and a chance to get in the water if you like. The trail itself is somewhat short from a biking experience and is also used by walkers, so some maneuvering is necessary. Did not pay attention to the location prior to booking. It is a bit of a haul from South Lake Tahoe but the views were amazing.

This is a great way to see Lake Tahoe. The weather was beautiful on the day that we rented bikes, and the bike trail was very easy to navigate. The people at Vista Trail Bikes were friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this company and this ride.

Beautiful Lake Tahoe

Wonderful bike ride! Used an e-bike for the first time on the Lake Tahoe walking/bike trail. The experience was fun and beautiful! The staff at Vista were very helpful and made sure we were instructed well. The e-bike made going up the hills very tolerable, yet got plenty of exercise. Highly recommend.

The lake's elevation is 6,225 feet (1,897 meters), and mountain resorts sit even higher, so prepare for the altitude by staying hydrated.
The sun is strong in the mountains—wear sun protection year-round.
If you don't have a 4WD vehicle with snow tires, you'll probably need chains in the winter. Mountain passes have checkpoints, and the highway patrol enforces snow chain regulations.
