This was our first kayak experience，and it was so fun！We didn't go too far away since it's our first time and it was a little bit windy . I feel it's totally safe to stay around the shore，and it's all under our controls. The water is so clear，and sometimes the ducks are swimming very close to the boat. The view was great. We love it！The people are also very nice there. This is probably the best thing we did in Lake Tahoe. I personally like it more than ski.😄We will come back in future！

First time in clear kayak and this is the perfect spot to do it. Water is so clear! Perfect weather and no crowds this time of year. Will was a fun guide. Wish we had more time to go further out, but we had a lot of time in by bonsai rock with no one else around.

Spontaneously booked a 2 hour kayak tour as a solo the day of and had the best time with the group I ended up with! The location is easy to find, all the staff were great, and the views from the water are incredibly stunning! Highly recommend.

Clear water kayak booked but weather was not great and we were told it’s too dangerous to be on the lake with too much wind on clear kayaks. Refused to refund us.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Cheria. We’re sorry that your experience didn’t meet expectations. We completely understand that weather concerns can make guests feel uneasy, especially on Lake Tahoe.
To clarify, we carefully monitor NOAA forecasts and Nevada State Parks guidance. Tours are only cancelled when there is an official Lake Wind Advisory or unsafe conditions. On your scheduled day, no advisories were issued, and surface conditions remained calm. In fact, we safely operated multiple tours before, during, and after your booking, and those guests all enjoyed their time on the water.
Guest safety is always our highest priority, and if conditions had been unsafe, we would have cancelled immediately and provided a full refund. We regret that the forecast you reviewed made you uncomfortable, but we stand by the fact that conditions that day were safe for operation.

Your was great and staff was helpful and friendly. Our tour guide, Adrian, was very patient (we had one person on the tour not being nice) and made the experience so fun. One thing to note; make sure upon arrival at the store that you specify a single or double kayak. Will definitely use this company again when in Lake Tahoe!

We had a wonderful time on our tour! We had Daniel as our tour guide and we loved him! It was late September and the weather was great. I would recommend brining a change of clothes in case you want to jump off Bonsai Rock! Water is cold but worth the jump!

Emma was A-mazing! We got to see the usual cool spots and then continued on to some farther reaching areas. She was very knowledgeable about Lake Tahoe, its history, wildlife and really embodied the experience we were striving for. I will say- the rental shop wasn’t warm and friendly. A little off putting. But the bus driver and guide made up for it!!!

Perfect trip from Sand Beach. We kayaked along the shore line and our guide Daniel shared some of the history of Lake Tahoe. He was an excellent guide! We got to jump off a rock and swim for a while in the really clear water. We went in early September and the water was 68°.

Super fun time out on the water. 8am tour was very calm out in the water. As our tour was ending and we were paddling back towards shore, there was a noticeable difference in the choppiness of the water as more people were then out on the water. Fun jumping off bonsai rock. A great way to see Sand Harbour without having to get into the rat race of snagging a reservation months in advance. Guides super friendly and helpful.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. On our busiest weekends and holidays, when more than six guests book a tour, we do pair guests from the same family in tandem kayaks. All of our clear kayaks are designed for two people, and this helps us stay within park capacity limits of 6 boats per hour and ensure everyone gets on the water safely.
When space allows on less busy tours, we’re always happy to provide single kayaks, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible on this particular tour. We’ll continue working to set clearer expectations in advance so future guests aren’t surprised.
We appreciate your comments and hope you’ll consider joining us again on a less crowded day or private tour for a more personalized experience.

Fun afternoon with the family. Staff was very helpful getting us on the water. We paddled down to a cove where my teenage son jumped off the rocks into the water. Our guide Jane was excellent and made sure we all got photos. I would recommend.

It was beautiful experience and the guide was lovely. The clear bottom kayaks are the way to go! The water was so clear and beautiful and you can see down 69 feet. The guide took us to a really pretty spot to take pictures and swim and we loved it.

All round a great experience. Excellent help at the shop and the bus down to the beach.
Once there, we met Emma out guide for the trip.
She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and excellent at her role. She gave history and facts and the lake and then assisted us climbing Bonsai Rock to jump off it!
All the time taking photos and videos which she sent us at the end.
If you get the chance give this a go!
And the clear kayaks were good too.

We had a really cool instructor with us. He told us stories from Lake Tahoe, took cool photos and videos, let us have fun and swim. They took us there by bus and brought us back, took care of our things. Great experience. The boats are comfortable and beautiful. We were in the same boat with my husband and 3-year-old child and we really enjoyed this experience.

It is 1st time for both my husband and I going Kayaking and we had a wonderful time ! Our guide (Daniel?) was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of good info about the lake and the area, he even climbed up the rocks and took some great pictures for the group ! 5 star service, highly recommended.

A great day and location, lots of time to paddle and take in the views. Great value in getting into the park and getting a ride there. For the price I was expecting more information on the area and some commentary either before we set out or while on the water. I noticed other outfitters had a more engaging experience so would probably recommend one of those.

Kayaking at Lake Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL, but id recommend choosing a different company or even renting one yourself.
First, this company charges about the same as the other, but doesn’t advertise that they will require the majority of the group to do tandem kayaks, and don’t tell you until you get to the lake. They only bring 6 kayaks for up to 12 ppl, so 8 of the 10 people in my timeslot were required to double up - none of them had planned on this and none of them were happy about it. Especially for the price, this isn’t acceptable. The other company offering this experience puts every guest in a single kayak, and we saw their group right next to us doing so.
Based on previous reviews, seems like there are some great guides and I only saw one bad review, and had hoped that guide just had a bad day or i would get another guide. Unfortunately, I got the same guide, Nathan, and my experience was also the same. There was no interaction. He led us to Bonsai Beach (beautiful!), which was a straight shot from the beach, with no stops along the way and no interaction. Then let us hang for about an hour and took a pic of each kayak in the same location (no other pics like other guides seem to do based on reviews). The rode back, still no interaction, and returned to the shuttle.
We passed the other companies group in their single kayaks and their guide made stops and told stories, like about the dancing bodies etc. I would have loved that! Also taking breaks to take things in is more relaxing than a straight shot. Nathan was more of an escort than a guide, and I could have easily done this route myself for much cheaper, with each member of my group in their own kayak, from one of the many kayak rental spots (even the one on the very same beach we left from) for much cheaper.
Overall, I definitely recommend kayaking in this area, but would recommend going with another company if you want a better experience and actual tour, or just renting one yourself.

I’m just very jealous after reading other people describe how their tour guide were informative and pleasant – our tour guide Nate was distracted and looked like he would rather be anywhere else than leading my family on this kayaking trip. He was helpful with my family in jumping off bonsai rock and did take pictures of us, but he said little, did not interact with us at all. It certainly wasn’t worth the money, as we could’ve just rented kayaks ourselves. The whole point was to have a guided tour and that is not what this was.

Took a while to book it but had a helpful lady called Ann on the phone who was patient and informative. Rather chaotic at the base but once at Lake Tahoe the whole experience was brilliant. Jane our guide was full of energy and enthusiasm and looked after our rather large group making the experience probably the highlight of our holiday.

This experience hit exactly right. The kayaking provided just enough activity - maybe an hour total with a stop in between at a beach for wading and rock jumps (for those looking for more adventure). The kayaks were very manageable and the clear design was a nice bonus. Our guide, Enrique, made sure everyone was having a good time. Even the van ride out to Sand Harbor was enjoyable because Incline Village is so incredibly scenic. My *only* light complaint is that things felt very disorganized when we arrived. It’s our fault we arrived right at the start time (though no guidance suggested an earlier arrival). But when we got to the center, it just didn’t feel like anyone knew what was going on for a while, and as a result, we felt really rushed and discombobulated heading out. In the end, it absolutely did not matter because we were all safe and had a great time - so my advice is to just do yourself a favor and arrive 15 minutes or so early!

Everything about this tour was awesome. For starters the staff at the storefront were so helpful and friendly. Emma our tour guide was honestly so amazing. Super cool guide, jumped off the rock with us and made sure everyone felt safe while doing it. 10/10 would do again. Wish I could have stayed for 10 hours.
