Not sure if I believe all the stories told, but we had a great tour guide (Thomas). The tour was also not too taxing for older folks; plenty of stops where you could take a seat for a few minutes.

Thomas was an excellent guide. His presentation was engaging with so much detail about Galveston’s history and development as a city in the 1800’s. Their port was a critical part of their businesses and for a while Galveston was the capital of Texas. But when the 1900 storm hit Galveston, it devastated the city and changed its future. The worst natural disaster ever in the U.S.
Thomas told us about the long recovery of Galveston and that ghosts are part of their city. One fascinating fact after another throughout the tour!
I highly recommend this tour.

The group had about 40 people and it was for everyone to see and hear the tour guide. The history was nice to learn but just just hard to hear.

My mom and I had a great time, Mike was so informative of all the ghosts and the buildings they inhabit, we ended up being the only 2 for the tour so that made it even more exciting and fun.

Pirate John was a terrific host! We paused at three separate spots on the tour where we learned about the history of Galveston and the devastating effects of the 1900 storm. Our host was a great storyteller- he paused for distractions, sprinkled in some humor, and loaded his talk with amazing details. We even visited a spot he recommended after the tour for a chance to catch some pictures of ghosties. We passed some other tours along the way, but no one else was being entertained by a fully adorned, crooked walking pirate. Super fun and informative experience.

Pirate John is great, has a real flourish, and like any true pirate, knows how to spin a yarn. We had such a great time getting to know the history of this great Island, once home to the biggest storm disaster in US history.

The story about the 6th floor! Also, all the history regarding the mass body disposal efforts! Our tour guide was named John and was very personable and knowledgeable about the Allen’s history. Had a wonderful time and plan to experience that you are again one day

We had a great time on the tour. Me and the wife took our daughters they loved it all the way through. Michael was a very knowledgeable tour guide and had some very good stories about each site we stopped at. He made the tour exciting and fun and spooky. Would recommend this tour if you like history with your ghost.

I took my 8yo and 10yo on this tour and they LIVED IT! They’re little thrill seekers and I was concerned this wouldn’t be exciting enough, but it was perfect! Our guide was knowledgeable about Galveston’s history and kept the crowd engaged with ghost photos! Highly recommend!!
