Love Pitaya

It was the perfect day thanks to Pitaya! We walked into the cutest beachy hut, and it was super easy to check in, the staff was freiendlt and fast with everything. There was nice and clean chairs right in-front of the beach, the water was crystal clear. Snorkeling was a great experience and felt super safe, we even saw a sea turtle! Massage was great, right next to the chairs, and you just let them know when you are ready. Food and drinks were delicious and super fast with servuce! Will be doing Pitaya again for sure!

Excellent Experience!

Booked this trip here instead of going through the cruise line and I’m so happy I did. It was a fraction of the cost and triple the fun! Finding the meet point was extremely easy, I just followed the direction. Our guide was Gabrielle and driver was Daniel. Gabrielle was great! Victor was a real cool guy who made our day in Costa Maya so much better. From the start, it was clear he genuinely cared about us feeling safe and fully informed about what to expect at every stop. He took the time to walk us through the plan so we always knew what was coming next. What really stood out was his lively, game-show-host energy when talking about the local foods, markets, and especially the tequila. You could tell he was completely at home in his element—enthusiastic, funny, and fully locked into the experience. The experience was...

The experience was fantastic. The only negative would be the drive there as it accounts for about 40% of the total time. However, the driver made exceptional time both there and back. The guide Jerry (Gerry?) Did a fantastic job ensuring everyone was taken care of. The trip was full but did not feel oversold which kept everything comfortable. We will absolutely use them the next time we are in Costa Maya. The fresh water lagoon is infinitely better than the salty sea.

Such a beautiful place! 🤍 We love that the water is shallow enough for the kids to walk across, while there are still a few deeper spots where we can swim and enjoy the water too. Getting Mayan in Mahahual, Puerta Costa Maya

We went to Costa Maya to see the undersold Mayan Chacchoben ruins, which are surreal and not to be missed, and Elliot, the Mayan with the Scottish name!, did not disappoint! The Bacalar lake experience offered several varieties of delicious tacos and the beautiful, but rocky, lake itself was a refreshing swim after the epic morning!

2nd time here was even better than the 1st!

So this is our 2nd year in a row we booked this excursion and we can’t wait to book it again. The way the staff takes care of your every need is simply amazing. My wife and I had the beach to ourselves the entire time! We can’t believe others cancel their booking because of seaweed….its everywhere in Costa Maya. You can’t get away from it. We were offered the chance to cancel for a full refund and we begged them to let us come! The food was the best we’ve had on any excursion we’ve been on (guacamole, ceviche, lobster, snapper). All the seafood was freshly caught that morning! The drinks were delicious too, especially the Key Lime Pie and the Caipirinha. I went out snorkeling (yes I had to get through sargassum first) and had one of the best “snorkeling-from-beach” experiences I’ve ever had. The reef had very colorful coral and many species of fish. I also found conch shells (unfortunately they were occupied so I had to leave them). My wife and I were sad when the time came to head back to the ship. We felt so relaxed and refreshed from our wonderful private beach experience. Thanks Louis and staff for making our time so memorable!
