Not a long walking tour. Guide was highly engaging. More historical of a tour. If you like true crime, this is right up your alley.

Best Ghost Tour Guide Ever!

Thomas was cordial, punny, and knowledgeable. As a native Texan I was able to learn about the history of the island, especially the parts not included in our history books. If you're looking for a well informed and invested tour guide to give you an insight into the seedy past of the island and reasons for the hauntings Thomas is your man!

We took the Ghosts on the Strand Tour with Thomas last night. The tour was part history, part creepy ghost stories and lightened up with some good “dad” jokes sprinkled throughout. We were thoroughly entertained and learned a lot about the history of the island we did not know. We highly recommend this tour.

Thomas was great- it would have been cool to go in some of the buildings( not Thomas' call) but Thomas was knowledgeable and the dad jokes were impressive. Teenage boys even laughed a little.

This tour was the worst I’ve ever been on. Not sure if this was a bad night or what but 2 out of the 3 groups that were included in this tour left it early. Our guide was nice enough, but I think was too intoxicated. He was rambling about a lot of random stuff that had nothing to do with Galveston history or ghosts the majority of the tour. Also, I assumed walking tour meant we would see multiple sites but we left 70 minutes into the 90 minute tour and had only seen one site/walked a block and a half. Most of the time was spent standing still, which allowed the mosquitos to eat us alive until we finally said we were done with it. As soon as others left, we knew it wasn’t just us having too high of expectations and we left also. The guide also basically stated he didn’t believe in ghosts and had never seen a ghost which basically killed the vibe for us as well…he should at least fake that he believed what he was telling us! All of the other tours I’ve been on in Galveston over the years have been great so this was an unfortunate experience.

Fun tour! Our guide, Thomas did such a great job telling interesting stories about the history of Galveston and details of some of the island’s most famous ghosts. Very entertaining—we all enjoyed the tour and Thomas’s schtick.

Christopher, our tour guide was awesome!! He knew a lot about the history of Galveston. He was very animated which made the stories even better. We definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun nighttime activity with teenagers!! Not too scary but very interesting and informative!!

Annette was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. She is very knowledgeable on the history of Galveston and her personal haunted experiences were undeniable. Every picture we took of her included orbs! Definitely go on this tour- it was the perfect length, distance, and spook!

Aaron was a great tour guide! I’ve been on several different ghost tours and this was by far my favorite. Did not try to convince us one way or the other about the paranormal and had lots of HISTORICAL stories.

Michael and his right hand were wonderful! Very informative. Made the tragedies so real for us. Wish we could hear better over the surrounding noise though - maybe a cordless microphone or megaphone would help? Also would have loved if we could have gone into a couple of the buildings for greater creepy effect- esp the insane asylum, the great white hotel, or the elevator. But great tour all together!

Although our tour guide was quite informative, we probably could have learned everything by google. We thought perhaps it would have been more about ghosts and hauntings that happened. It was quite long to just walk and listen to someone talk. We wouldn’t do it again.
And perhaps the guide could have worn something that advertised he was the tour guide for this company.

I'm sorry You we're disappointed. A review of this type will cause an immediate review of the tour guides. Normally we get five stars so i'm going to have to do a lot of investigation. Thank for the input. But right off hand Galveston is a very casual laid back island so we don't require uniforms.The tour is a walking tour and it takes an hour and a 1/2 so you walk for about a mile . and during that walk your tour guide does talk to you . But now that you know some of the galvestons awesome history, I do encourage you to Google and learn more about it .

Tyler was personable. It was sometimes hard to hear because he would start before out whole group was present. We did have a couple with a cane though. It only lasted an hour. The other group who started at the same place and time was still going when he finished
