Learned a bit of history that not only involves Galveston but also their overall impact in the U.S.
Easy pace and enjoyable time.

Jay was a funny guy. He was able to tell us a lot about Galveston history whilst we walked by many beautiful buildings - and a few not so pretty 🤣
The tour length was just right. So much to take in. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting the city.

Be mindful of the weather. Might be a little warm for “northerners “. Stay hydrated and enjoy the day. God bless.

Be prepared with water if going at 1pm or later...not miserably hot, but may get thirtsy.... Actual walking was pleasantly paced, but had some uneven surfaces. Our guide was knowledgeable, pleasant and clearly enjoyed her job. She often added extra interesting facts. I bought this tour for my boyfriend and he enjoyed it ...and he loves true crime. The only addition we would have liked would have been more even more stories on historical murders that took place on Galveston.

The tour started at the library, which was very nice inside. (And cool) This tour has a couple miles of walking and Galveston can be HOT. Bring water, hats, fans…All of it. We learned some good information about some of the fancier houses and also some lesser-known ones. Jay was very knowledgeable and he has a nice voice.

Check the weather and dress accordingly. It is a walking tour and it was a cold day. Some people of our group looked very uncomfortable.
