Begin your tour with a brief training session and get comfortable using your Segway. With the training out of the way, it’s time to hit the open road.
Ride along the scenic Riverwalk for roughly two miles (3.2 kilometers). Spot the luxurious homes and mega yachts along the water.
Check out local restaurants, bars, and shops, plus attractions like the Broward Center for Performing Arts and the Museum of Discovery and Science, one of the largest museums of its kind in Florida.
Pass through Old Fort Lauderdale. Continue on to the 17th Street Causeway drawbridge. From there, take in the view of Port Everglades, the second-ranked cruise port in the world. Continue on to more sightseeing before a return trip to the Riverwalk.

Mike our tour guide was phenomenal. He gave us great history of Fort Lauderdale, education about the amazing trees and beautiful tour of the waterfront and neighboring areas.

Mike Pineda is a great guide. He is so knowledgeable about the history of Fort Lauderdale, the founding families and especially the trees. He was very patient with instructing us on the Segway. We had a blast! Highly recommend!

Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly. Saw lots of things and had plenty of stops for pictures etc
Only thing I think would have improved this is to have intercom receivers so everyone could hear what he was saying along the route. We've done tours before and had these and they were so useful, while driving we had raised curbs or pothole directions told to us all, but also had pointers along to look at, rather than always waiting to stop.

There were way too many people on the tour. There were 19 people and the line of us was so long I couldn’t hear anything the tour guide said. This should have been divided into 2 tours

Thanks for your feedback. We normally don’t have groups of that size—this was an unusually busy day, and we chose to accommodate guests rather than turn anyone away. Our guide gathers everyone together at each stop before speaking, but we’re sorry if you felt you missed anything. Absolutely amazing!! I was nervous at first because I’ve never been on a Segway before BUT Mike was a great teacher! He made me feel confident and in no time, I was a pro! The beautiful scenic view, the history lesson that we were given and the TREES!! I will never look at one the same way! Mike was very passionate about sharing his knowledge and love of the area. He did a wonderful job showing us the Venice of America. I was new to riding a Segway. Mike did an exceptional job helping me gain skill and confidence to ride.

Review from a rookie: Michael did an excellent job teaching us the basics, safety and historical overview about all things Venice of America. First, he taught us all about Segway safety, how to ride, what not to do and how to stay safe. Then he took us on a fairly long tour of the area covering new construction/development, resale homes, yachts, the river, history of the area and trees/plants in the area. If you are a beginner and can get Michael, ask for him. He did an excellent job teaching. He is very advanced so if you are intermediate or advanced I bet he covers that too. But it was our first time.

It was great! Mike was so knowledgeable and really took care of all of the segwayers! Mike was full of interesting tidbits along the way. The Segway was so fun to drive around - I didn't expect it to be that fun to drive one.

If you’re looking for a really fun time activity, look no further! We are a multi age family, ages 10 to 78. Everyone was able to master the Segway & enjoy the tour. Our guide/instructor was Mike. He was VERY patient especially with those who were nervous. By the end of the 2 1/2hr tour, everyone was zipping around with ease. The itinerary was pretty basic. Mike did stop and point out local wildlife & plants. He also took us through the million dollar neighborhood pointing out famous people’s houses and historic buildings. But…the main event is riding the Segways. Definitely worth the money. Do it!

Mike was a good instructor and made me feel comfortable on the Segway before we left. The tour itself was just ok. We basically rode up and down the riverwalk and through a neighbourhood with nice homes. Mike talked a lot about the influence of the billionaires in the area, his environmental opinions and a lot about trees. He also shared some historical points, but I guess I was hoping to see more of the city with a cohesive explanation of the historical facts and less personal opinion. Regardless, the segways were really fun making the tour worth it.

Mike was a fantastic tour guide! While my wife and I had experience on Segways, it was a first time experience for our two daughters. He exercised a tremendous amount of patience with my youngest while teaching her how to operate the Segway. After the training, she was almost a pro! The tour was educational about the Ft Lauderdale area, and immensely fun. Would highly recommend for families or couples looking to have a fun few hours out!

This segway tour was the ABSOLUTE BEST! Mike was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! He was very personable, yet professional. Our group consisted of four tourists who had NEVER ridden a Segway before (including my husband and myself). Mike took time with each one of us "individually" to train/teach us how to ride. He did not rush the process at all as he was prioritizing our safety first. (Side note: Mike's priorities made perfectly good sense because he's also a fireman.) He gained our trust through his training session in addition to the fact that he is highly qualified to help in the event something (or somebody) went south (literally 😂). We were all able to ride with confidence and had lots of fun. Mike was very knowledgeable of the areas along our route and gave a very informative tour. My husband and I are both 6 feet tall and I am well above 300 lbs. Mike was very attentive to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. I can't recommend this activity enough... especially with Mike as your tour guide. I can only vouch for who I know. I can't say how your experience will be with any other guide, but Mike did win us over. He is the BEST! Take the tour already!! And ask for Mike! (OHHH, YEAHHH... in addition to all of that, when we told Mike we were in Florida, from North Carolina, celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary, he even recommended a great restaurant that we tried as soon as we left!)

My friend and I are two active retirement age ladies who were excited to have a second experience on Segways. Mike was the best guide for us! He gave us very practical tips on safely riding and steering our vehicles through Fort Lauderdale’s very beautiful river walk area and the surrounding residential streets. He was encouraging in our riding technique and so knowledgeable about historical and current issues in Fort Lauderdale while leading us through this gorgeous city. We were thrilled with our experience!

This is an awesome way to tour the area. After you get the hang of riding the Segway you are off and running. Mike was a beast at teaching and being a tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and a cool guy, I recommend the tour especially with him.
