We rented a jeep after our glacier tour was canceled due to rain. So we headed up Park Road in Denali National Park. The rain turned into snow and the scenery became a winter wonderland. Sept. 6th, 2023, it went from 40* 29* as we got to the end of the road. 15 miles from the entrance. Beautiful. I recommend this rental.

We were under the impression that we would have 4 hours to drive thru the park. After about 12 miles on our adventure we ran into a park ranger that said individual cars can only travel about 12 miles of the 43 we were planning. We were turned around. That whole process took about an hour and still had 3 hours left. Felt deceived. Also thought they would have given us some information on this self guided trip. The only information we got about the park was go to the next street and turn right.

We weren’t aware you could only drive 7 miles into the park. Had we been told that we would probably have gone the other way.

Very easy check-in and check-out experience. Would definitely recommend. We got up early and we’re in the park before 8am and beat the crowds.

Good: Jeep was in good condition, shuttle drivers to/from hotel were pleasant
Bad: Terrible check-in process in which frazzled young woman told us we could “go anywhere” and gave us no other rules (she did have our driver sign a waiver, but she didn’t give us a copy and despite requests, we have still not received a copy of the contract). So we drove around for 4 hours, driving on some unmarked dirt roads. When we returned the Jeep, we were told we needed to fill it up with gas, something we were not informed of when we picked up the Jeep. After returning the Jeep, we waited around for 10 minutes or so before an employee came out with an iPad and starting pointing at it saying “is this your signature?” and pointing at the iPad where our driver had signed. When she confirmed that was her signature he said something about us violating the contract because we drove on access roads. He was very aggressive and rude, angrily pointing at his iPad and saying over and over “you signed this!!” When we pointed out there were no signs stating we were driving on access roads, he agreed that there were likely no signs but too bad because we signed the contract so we were in violation and they were keeping our $500 deposit. The Jeep was completely undamaged, so they chose to keep our deposit for violating an item on the contract that we had no idea we were violating. In addition, the representative who checked us in told us we could go anywhere, and when she told us that they needed a deposit, she said they would only keep it if there was damage to the vehicle, which there was not. So it was a super disappointing experience and we would NOT recommend anyone rent from this company. The angry man did call later to apologize for being so aggressive towards our driver but that really didn’t matter much after he had already ruined the fun experience and taken all our money.

Having the jeep to tour at our own pace was great! We were able to stop and get out for pictures when we encountered wildlife. We highly recommend Denali Jeep Rentals.

We had a great time just exploring Denali National Park on our own! The jeep was fun to drive and they picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off. It was easy, peasy!

The Jeep people were extremely helpful. They picked us up at our hotel and gave us maps and good directions. Our drive through the Denali area was very enjoyable and the scenery was breathtaking! We highly recommend this option.

We rented a 4WD Jeep Wrangler for a half-day self-guided tour adventure in the Denali area. It was a very pleasant drive enjoying the local scenery and a welcome change from the shuttle and bus rides that we had been experiencing during the remainder of our itinerary. The weather was great and we could have removed the roof top of the vehicle if we wanted to. The rental charge was for the vehicle, not per person. All in all, a great way to enjoy DeNali!

The Jeep was very nice and clean. We were disappointed that the company didn’t provide maps of suggested routes. We didn’t really know where to go and maps would have been helpful. Or maybe GPS with routes in the vehicle.

It was quick check in and check out which is very well organized. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. They even give suggestions to where to go. The car is in good condition and there’s no issue driving while driving it. This is a very good option if you want to explore Denali on your pace. This tour is highly recommended 👍👍

The self guided jeep tour was ok. Nothing to do with the jeep rental company at all, but the park ranger was rude as all get out to the 20 cars parked on the side of the road, that were excited to finally see a moose. We may have had higher expectations than we should have of seeing wildlife. Maybe you see more if you take the bus further into the park. The 14 miles you're allowed to drive in a self guided tour, there's little chance of seeing bears or caribou I think. But the jeep company staff were very nice and the vehicle was in good shape.
