Great experience. The...

Great experience. The guide was very informative, safe, and allowed us some up close experience with the wildlife.

Beautiful...and Buggy! (But, it's worth it!)

Yau_C, Aug 2025
The mosquitoes are ravenous out on the water. So, make sure you take your guide up on when they offer their "industrial strength mosquito repellent" and slather it everywhere - even over your clothes. But, braving the bugs is so worth it. The bioluminescent algae and comb jellies are beautiful. They produce a blue glow when the water is disturbed. We had a warm night with a light breeze, and it was lovely being out in the calm estuary. Our guide, Chayse, was great - upbeat, knowledgeable, and excited to share her passion for the natural beauty of the Merritt Island waterways. Bring a change of clothes, especially if you plan on getting into the water (2-4' deep in most of the places where you'll be paddling.) Florida has one of maybe 4 areas of bioluminescence in the country, so definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Highly recommend!

Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review! We're glad you had such a memorable experience on the water! The glowing algae and comb jellies truly make it worth it, and we're happy to hear Chayse helped make the night even more special with her energy and knowledge. Great tips for future paddlers, too! Thanks for the high recommendation! Hope to see you again on the water soon! 🤙😎

Disappointed

Elizabeth_C, Aug 2025
This is a joke. Nothing like the pictures. I have kayaked for years with my daughter and was told we could not go with her in the back. She is a 5'7 female and I'm 5 foot tall. I couldn't even see where I was going. We did do a kayak the next day near there with the correct placement with the other group, no problem. The guy also catches those fish in that jar and brings back. That is a danger to the environment that I am told he is NOT supposed to do. Not Cool.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t align with your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few things from our end. Regarding the kayak seating: our guides are trained to prioritize safety and balance in every vessel. While we understand you and your daughter have years of experience, certain weight and height distributions can affect the stability of the kayak, especially in the specific models we use. In this case, the seating recommendation was made with your safety in mind—not to undermine your experience or ability. That said, we recognize how frustrating it can be when that setup doesn’t work for your comfort, and we’re sincerely sorry it disrupted your time on the water. As for the photos and promotional materials, we strive to represent our tours as accurately as possible. However, wildlife encounters and water conditions can vary day to day. We’re actively working on keeping all information up to date to better reflect the everyday experience. In terms of the fish in the jar, we understand your concern and want to assure you that our guides follow strict environmental guidelines. On occasion, small aquatic specimens are briefly shown for educational purposes—always handled with care and returned immediately to their habitat. This practice is intended to foster appreciation and awareness of local wildlife, especially for guests unfamiliar with the area. We regret that your experience left you disappointed, but we do value your feedback—it helps us grow and improve. If you're open to it, we’d love the chance to speak with you directly and make things right. Thanks again for this opportunity to work with you, - Receptionist Josh 🤙😎
