The Boston Duck tour covers it all—from the State House in the Beacon Hill neighborhood to Bunker Hill and the TD Garden, home to the Boston Celtics. Quintessential Boston Activity

Noelle_B, Dec 2025
More fun than I thought it'd be - we really had a great time riding the ducks. The meeting place was easy to find, we left on time, and enjoyed the sites we saw. The duck lips are a must for kids (you'll buy these separately) so plan for that. Our guide, Splish, was THE BEST. Very enthusiastic, funny and great with people. All the kids onboard had a chance to drive the boat, and that was unexpected and they loved it.

Wonderful and awesome

Mark_B, Nov 2025
Great and an absolutely a treat. bring your wife, kids, inlaws and hang out with the duck boat as it was a fun time and did not want it to end.

Do the trolley instead.

Will_P, Nov 2025
Not much information. Really cringe dad jokes from our tour guide UK Lee. The guy was patronising and forced people to join in singing with him. When people didn’t find him funny, he’d get annoyed. I would urge people to do the trolley. Hated every minute of it. It also looks like from other reviews this is not a one time thing, sounds like all the your guides are like this, although UK Lee was especially unbearable. If I wanted a poor comedy show I’d go to one.

Must do in Boston!

Shannon_M, Nov 2025
Yes, you must do it. A great introduction to the city, with some humor mixed in. A local just told me that he learned things about a city that he never knew it’s entertaining the whole time & family friendly. The tour guides let the children drive the boat on the Charles River, which is a cool thing for a kid to experience. Book it - you won’t regret it!

Fun and informative tour

Rene_d, Nov 2025
The Duck Tour is worth it just for the amphibious experience, land and river. Our guide Dr. Ben was entertaining and very informative. Please know that the seats are very small and hard, but remember that you’re basically on a a reproduction of a WWII military vessel. I totally recommend this tour. I only wish they wouldn’t make you quack, annoying as hell.

Neat way to see Boston

Frederick_F, Nov 2025
Great tour guide who makes this a fun ride through Boston and very caring with the group to make them feel welcome. Quite comical and enjoyable. Great way to see Boston one by land if not two by sea (or let's just saw the Charles river)

Great overall view of the city different from other tours. Love the river cruise and sitting in the captains chair to steer the boat

1st Duck Tour!

Greg_P, Nov 2025
Seating is tight but not over crowded, very informative about the history of Boston and guide is very knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining!

Best ride ever!

Patricia_Y, Nov 2025
Our group enjoyed the ride so much and I must say it was because of our guide (his name begins with a M). Not only was he knowledgeable about the surroundings, he was so funny. I thought my stomach was going to burst from laughing so much. Please give him kudos. It was such a great experience and really, it was because of him (no, I honestly don’t know him).

Fun & unique experience!

Good for kids, not adults

Alison_S, Nov 2025
Good selection of Boston highlights and very nice to combine with a cruise on the river. However, the narrator was unbearably juvenile and corny, even making everyone call « Quack quack » and « Duck duck ». Fine for children but irritating for adults. Some more history and information would have been better.

A great tour

Jill_M, Nov 2025
It was good for all ages. Fun with a mix of history. A good way to see allot in a short time. Bus and tour guide were great!

Love that dirty water

Mary_D, Oct 2025
Great history lesson with comedy. I loved the way my city of Boston was portrayed to my visiting family.

Quack quack!

Departed across from the Marriott. Excellent narration. Fun way to tour Boston! Highly recommended!!

Impersonal experience

yiwei_z, Oct 2025
We have around big group (more than 10) arrived at the time we scheduled. The boat just drove away in front of us, with almost a totally empty boat, ignoring us waving and yelling! Half of us were re-scheduled to another time but half have to miss it.

Great Value

Nigel_G, Oct 2025
Well organised , informative, well balanced and fun . Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and the guide’s excellent delivery.

Ask for Joey Hot Wheels!!

Maureen_K, Oct 2025
It was wonderful! I had friends in from out of town who had never been to Boston and wanted to show them my city in the few short hours they had here and a friend suggested the Duck Boats. We had Joey Hot Wheels as our guide and he was so funny and knowledgeable! We were constantly surprised by every new fact he shared with us and we had so many moments where we laughed out loud. He was a true delight. I would absolutely recommend the tour and I would absolutely suggest that you request Joey. He was fantastic.

MGabriele_M, Oct 2025
What a hoot! We had a great tour of the city plus a little "cruise" on the Charles River. Our driver kept us safe and dry, and our tour guide kept us in stitches as well as well informed. A wonderful way to experience Boston!

Great Fun

Julie_C, Oct 2025
The witty of the conductor’s actions and talk smooth sailing, beautiful scenery and learning experience

Great experience with Charlie

Iris_N, Oct 2025
Our tour guide was Charlie. He made our experience with the duck boat extremely entertaining. He told us a lot of history about the city with much humor in between. The transition from land to water was very interesting. Charlie’s personality and delivery made the entire tour, if you’re lucky enough to get him.

Enjoyed our Ducky Tour

Darryl_G, Oct 2025
We enjoyed our tour. It was informative and a great way to get an introduction to Boston. One warning is to try to pick a time slot that is not in rush hour traffic.

By Land & Sea

Kim_K, Oct 2025
I highly recommend this tour. We saw a good deal of Boston. Our tour guide was humorous, knowledgeable, and made the tour fun. The combination of land and sea sightseeing made the tour unique. I was surprised that the boat went into water that was thirty feet deep. The staff was great and it was a decent value for the money.

Bird guy on the Ducky

Jocelyn_B, Oct 2025
Fabulous toyr. Our guide was a bird guy. Forgot his name but was funny and very personable. Really made it enjoyable and he knew his stuff!!
