Awesome tour and guide!

kath7766, Jun 2026
MJ was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We learned so much about Washington DC and had a great time along the way! He was very helpful with my disability as well! Great experience :)

Highly recommend this tour.

Ellen_S, Jun 2026
Our guide was Buckeye and he did an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of interesting commentary. Would highly recommend this tour.

Only half a moonlight tour

Michelle_H, Jun 2026
Depending on the time of year only half the tour is in the moonlight But our driver was extremely knowledgeable about the area and made it N excellent experience.

Smiley gave a great tour.

Matthew_K, Jun 2026
This was a great evening. Smiley really made the tour great. Thank you for taking us around the city and teaching us more about the awesome history of our country.

Terrible Tickets-they don’t recognize you as a real entity.

Nicole_F, Jun 2026
Washington Monument and Trolley don’t recognize your Apple wallet tickets as real. They weren’t going to let my family on. Total trash.

Incredible night tour with Patty

Meggie_G, Jun 2026
Patty was a great tour guide and told us hidden facts about Washington D.C. She gave us ample amount of time at each monument to really soak up the night tour.

Wonderful Nighttime tour!

Tanya_C, Jun 2026
Smiley was an amazing tour guide! We got to see all the monuments and he told us things that we wouldn't know. You can really tell he loves his job! The monuments that we got to stop and take pictures or walk through were great. The one thing I wish this tour had was a stop at the White House.

Good experience but very expensive for what you get

Valerie_M, Jun 2026
It's very nice to see all of The monuments and historical buildings. It would be nicer if they actually pulled up beside sites such as Arlington cemetery and the White House so that we can see it and take pictures, even if we don't get off the bus.

Very walkable even with...

Susan_M, Jun 2026
Very walkable even with high temperatures there were areas of shade available Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable

A company fumble saved by excellent drivers!

Shelley_B, Jun 2026
This tour started out ROUGH, but ended up being a good time. Apparently the miscommunication at the company led to no trolley being sent to the meeting spot. (Actually 2 were sent and 3 were needed) Driver of bus #1 went ahead and started their tour, while driver #2 Patty did everything in her power to make the best of the situation. She did not want to leave with her tour and leave 40+ people just standing there. She kept us all informed, got us water, made arrangements for us to enter a nearby restaurant to have a place to sit in the A/C and was polite to everyone, even though some of the guests were not being polite to her. She deserves an A+! After waiting an hour, our driver and trolley finally showed, and we began our tour. Our driver, "The banker" was informative and knew the area VERY well so we got a great tour, even though it started and ended much later than expected. She deserves an A+ for hopping in at the last minute and performing excellently. So in short, your drivers saved the day. There could have easily been communication from the company ahead of time to let us know of the situation, and obviously, they should have had the correct number of trolleys for the number of tickets they sold. Thank goodness you have excellent employees to make it nice for the guests even when Old Town screws up!

Horrible Experience

Lawrence_M, Jun 2026
We showed up for our tour yesterday only to be informed that our tour had been canceled because of street closures in Washington, DC. We were given the telephone number of the tour company Monuments by Moonlight. The woman from the company informed us that we were sent an email that the tour had been canceled earlier in the day. We never received an email and drove over 45 minutes with friends from out of town to do the tour. We still have not received a refund from Viator. We are upset and disappointed.

Spectacular History Overview

Diana_T, Jun 2026
Our driver/tour guide was EJ, and he was fantastic at both. The circle around all of the DC sights is wonderful for a new visitor, and the stops at memorials are emotionally affecting.

Patty is a great driver!

Roger_C, Jun 2026
Driver Patty was Safe, Fun, and absolutely a great value to this company! Could not have been a better experience!

The moonlight tour is...

Nancy_V, Jun 2026
The moonlight tour is excellent! Such a different and beautiful perspective. Our guide and driver Patty was wonderful- full of information along with lots of laughs- very accomodating

100% worth it!

Amy_C, Jun 2026
Arrive 30 minutes early, pee first, take a water bottle/snacks, wear your comfy shoes. The tour is EXCELLENT, but there is only a 10-30 minute window at each stop. We missed some of the FDR memorial because we needed a bathroom break. When you exit Union Station in the front, turn right. That's where the bus stops. The tour is wonderful. And NOT dealing with D.C. traffic and parking is the icing on the cake!

Awesome driver

Leonard_H, Jun 2026
The driver was very knowledgeable about all the sites and very accommodating, helping with wheelchair lift and such

Great experience!

Margarita_D, Jun 2026
We were so lucky the evening was so beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. We had the time to take all the pictures that we wanted.

Dissatisfied

Shelly_M, May 2026
Guide hard to understand. Did not stop at the war memorials. Did not drive by White House. Many things on the itinerary were not fulfilled.

Smiley our tour guide was the best

James_J, May 2026
Great time well informed and our tour guide Smiley was the absolute best. saw all the important sites and was given great information and stories.

Excellent Tour!

Kevin_S, May 2026
Beautiful to see the city at night. The tour was well paced and informative. I was a great capstone to our time in the capital.

Great Tour! Ask for Smiley as tour guide!

Carl_M, May 2026
5 stars. We had a great experience on the Washington DC Monuments by Moonlight Tour. Our guide, Smiley, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of DC, the monuments, and the surrounding landmarks, but what really stood out was how friendly and engaging he was throughout the entire tour. He kept the group entertained while still providing a lot of interesting historical information. The nighttime views of the monuments were incredible, and the trolley made it easy and comfortable for our family to see a lot in one evening. Highly recommend this tour, and if you get Smiley as your guide, you are in good hands.

Rubbish

Spud, May 2026
Thought the staff at the welcome centre were rude. The driver guide Jason was pleasant but talked a lot more about planes coming into land at Ronald Reagan and not enough about the sites. I did this tour years ago and it was excellent now it was rubbish!

Great way to see the sights!

Debbie_B, May 2026
Really good tour, excellent guide Patty, she knew her stuff! The trolly had huge windows open to the air, so easy viewing. It became chilly so dress in layers.

Smiley, our tour guide...

Andrew_W, May 2026
Smiley, our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable. It was a great way to see the city and nice that we were able to get off and explore some of the sites on foot.

Celebrating my husband's birthday

LASCELLIES_B, May 2026
That the tour guides a lot of details. Things I didn't know. Very energetic, they enjoyed giving the information and the fact they wasn't reading it. Buckeye was awesome.

Our tour guide, Smiley...

Debbie_M, Apr 2026
Our tour guide, Smiley was fantastic. He had a great sense of humor, highly knowledgeable and kept us engaged.

The tour guide, M Dot,...

Brittany_W, Apr 2026
The tour guide, M Dot, was very knowledgeable and accommodating to everybody on the trolley. My mom is in a wheelchair and he made it very easy to do things with her.
