Changing of Guards

Brenda_M, May 2026
Take a trolley. It’s worth it to see the changing of the guards. Going in the Spring was a perfect time of year.

Good if you have a ton of time…

Ashley_D, Apr 2026
Trolly was nice and like hearing commentary, except the carts are so full that you can’t get on and off as easily as they say. The shuttle runs every 10-15mins but you can end up waiting 15 minutes for a ride only to not have room on the shuttle. We ended up having to walk which is annoying since we paid for the tour. We were there right away in the morning and our guide seemed grouchy and not friendly compared to other tours we took around DC. If you have lots of time and don’t mind waiting this would be a good tour since the park is large to walk.

Moving experience

Sara_C, Apr 2026
Be prepared for rain; bring a towel, etc to dry the seats in the event of rain. Make sure you tour Arlington House.

Raquel_C, Apr 2026
It was an amazing experience to see the sacrifices made for this country. It made me proud that all those brave men and women are remembered and not to be forgotten. It was a moving experience and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and the grounds were very well maintained.

Very long lines to board shuttles

Laurie_W, Apr 2026
We had to wait in very long lines of huge groups to get on the shuttles. They only run every 20 minutes so you have to wait 2-3 shuttles at least to find room on one. For someone who has a hard time standing this is not doable. Sometimes waiting a good 40 minutes to catch the next shuttle.

Worth while

kim_c, Apr 2026
Easy to get off and on. Wait times reasonable. The cemetery is hilly so the trolley was great. Guides pointed out important points of interest.

Arlington cemetary must see

Totally worth it! Very nice, respectful tour! The tour guides are knowledgeable and the trolleys ran 15 minutes or so.

Easy way to see Arlington cemetery

Candace_M, Mar 2026
Fun , easy, educational. Getting around Arlington cemetery was so easy on the tram. All of the narrators and rangers were educating us as we went from place to place. The staff are respectful and helpful in directing to all the locations.

Awesome to see everything lit up at night. Highly recommend! Bus was very comfortable and guide was very well informed.

Great way to enjoy Arlington Cemetery. Arrive early. Don’t miss Changing of the Guardsmen. Wonderful

Directions given were...

Melanie_C, Mar 2026
Directions given were poor about when we could be picked back up so we only were able to ride out to Kennedy grave and that was it. I spent over $100 for 5 of us for a 3 minute ride. While that 3 minute ride was great it was not worth it since we had to walk the rest of the way.

A good option to walking, but the timing of pickups was inconsistent.

Allison_D, Mar 2026
The timing between pick ups was inconsistent and we waited at one stop for over 30 minutes. Each tour guide was different, some were much better than others. If you are on a schedule and plan to have nicely timed stops, I would pick another option.

Very informative guides...

Denise_A, Mar 2026
Very informative guides liked being able to get on or off the tram without any hassle. Bus or tram was available every 20 minutes

Great tour if you're okay with lots of down time.

Jayme_N, Mar 2026
Know that if you get off at any stop other than the Kennedy sight, tomb of the unknown, or Arlington house, you may need to wait up to 45 minutes for a trolly that isn't full. I traveled with just myself and my son and we waited at the coast guard memorial for a half hour until a trolly had 2 open seats. I imagine larger parties would wait even longer. If you are on a schedule, and want to hop on and off quickly, only hop off at the popular stops listed above. Since many people usually get off at those locations, you're more likely to get a seat on the trolly once those stopping exit. We were in no hurry but if you are, plan your hop offs accordingly.

Totally Worth It!

Caleb_F, Mar 2026
This is my fourth time at Arlington National Cemetary and I ALWAYS do this tour. Totally worth it! The guides are always extremely knowledgable and it gets you to the spots way quicker than walking.

Arlington Experience

Arlington trolley bus tour

Graham_B, Dec 2025
Trolley bus around the cemetery with driver explaining every part. Stop get off and explore then board the next bus to go further on. There's more to Arlington than the graves.

Great tour

Robert_H, Dec 2025
Our tour guide, Robert, was extremely knowledgable about the area and entertained us with tons of facts, stories, jokes and information. He was really prompt and kept us updated while pointing out different areas of interest and we learned things we never knew.

Comfortable Convenient...

Connie_B, Nov 2025

The only good way to see Arlington Cemetery!

Tracy_A, Aug 2025
We had a great tour. Staff was organized and the guides were knowledgeable and made the tour very educational! The cemetery is enormous and we wouldn’t have seen a quarter of it without this tour. It’s worth every penny!

Knowing that we didn’t...

Alicia_A, Aug 2025
Knowing that we didn’t have the time or energy to walk the tour of the cemetery, this was a no brainer for us. The guides were very knowledgeable giving a lot of information. This is a great way to see Arlington. Highly recommend!
