Lots of walking. I would say you need to be in average shape. There are places to sit and you do have some breaks. Tour guide was great at telling stories about some of the soldiers. I felt that it made the experience more personal. I would highly recommend the tour.

You cannot see Arlington Cemetery correctly without a guide. There is just too much to see in a day without someone pointing things out to you. Our guide, Meg, was so good and knowledgeable, well worth the time and effort!

Janine_L, Apr 2026
Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and was not only able to navigate the large cemetery but also shared little known details about some of the residents and how to read military stones. His respect for the solemnity of the location was evident throughout. In particular, his knowledge of the guards and ceremony at The Tomb of the Unknowns brought a greater appreciation for this solemn ritual. Kevin was able to adjust his tour to accommodate people with varying physical abilities without any feeling if being rushed or missing out and still remained on time. This is a large cemetery and very hilly; I highly recommend this tour to ensure a comprehensive visit without exhausting oneself

Christine_B, Apr 2026
Meg was my tour guide and she was very knowledgeable about the cemetery and those buried there. She found the nurse statue I wanted to see and took me there even though it wasn't part of her tour. That was special to me. She was funny and I really enjoyed spending the morning with her. However there is a lot of walking and many hills....so you need to consider that. The cemetery is beautiful and the changing of the guards is moving. Meg showed me both presidents graves, justices graves, and Joe Louis, Lee Marvin and Maureen O'Hara graves. This tour is probably more geared to adults. I highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Christine, it was a pleasure spending the morning with you, and thanks for giving me a reason to see some less visited spaces in the cemetery.

Reid is a very good tour guide. He brought his experience as a Naval aviator to enhance the explanation of the many sites at Arlington. It was a very worthwhile tour because we were able to see and here about many of the grave sites and monuments which we would otherwise not have leaned about.
Jill_S, Apr 2026
What an amazing experience we had. We are veterans and loved the reverence at the changing of the guard ceremony, beautifully done. Our guide Reid was also a veteran. His stories were rich with history. He made the tour a highlight of our stay. Highly recommend
