It was so easy to navigate the city alone. Each driver was so knowledgeable and sooooo entertaining! The trollies were frequent. I never waited longer than 10 minutes for a pick up. The stops were easy to find. Just a lovely day! I recommend everyone visiting a new city, jump on the bus and plan to go back to the attractions that interest you.

We had an excellent day exploring DC on the hop on/hop off trolley! We never waited more than 10 minutes at a location and saw quite a bit. Drivers were very good. All around good experience. We did the one that went to Arlington National Cemetery and I would highly recommend seeing that also.

This is 100% the absolute best way to see DC!!! Also, should definitely add The Arlington Cemetery tour to your package!
Thoroughly Enjoyable
Lucie_C, Apr 2026
It's nearly everywhere you want to be, or certainly close.
Drivers Joe Moe and Hollywood provided plenty of helpful and interesting narrative about events and places we otherwise would have missed. Be sure to include Arlington. There is an extra charge when you arrive at Arlington if you want to take the tram instead of walk, but it's well worth it.
These drivers let you know they are there to make sure you enjoy your spin(s) around DC, high marks and thank you!

Best way to get an overview and learn to patience with Changing of the Guard there's more ti it than you realized.
Would do it differently.
Bill_A, Apr 2026
Lots and lots of walking. Always seemed rushed to get back to pickup spot to make next stop. Didn't have time to utilize HOHO efficiently to see the city. Would be better if it ran later. Probably could have utilized taxis for the same price and not felt hurried.

Waited too long this time for pickups. In the past it has been much quicker. Would still do again but frustrated
Not a 21 stop tour
Jackie_S, Apr 2026
This is not a 21 stop tour as it is advertised. It is a 15 stop tour. Yes you can get on the trolly at any of the 15 stops, but you need to be standing by a green and orange trolley bus sign. We started at the Air and Space Museum and were standing 200 feet down the sidewalk from the sign and never got picked up. After calling customer service we were first told that museum was no longer a stop. Then told to walk 20 minutes to get to a different stop. Then told we needed to look for a trolly that stated 21 stop on it (we saw the 15 stop trolley) and then we were hung up on by customer service after about a 30 minute call. We ended up taking an Uber to the start of the tour. We were upset when we stopped at stop 4 of the tour and it was the Air and Space Museum! Customer service needs to be better or don’t have someone answering the phone. The tour was a lot of waiting for the trolly. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and we saw a lot of the city and Arlington Cemetery. Just don’t think I will suggest this to anyone else. We wasted an hour and a half of our tour time just trying to get on the trolly.

Joe Moe was a great guide! Our only issue was difficulty in finding the stop at the Capitol building...no signage and couldn't find a map of drop off locations...
Would recommend 😊

must be early or on time or bus leaves without you. not exact time for pick up. don't have a minimum for review

It moves quickly so have your cameras ready. Also if it’s cooler outside pull the window coverings down.

The drivers / tour guides were good drivers, very knowledgeable, and personable. A tour bus is the idea strategy to see a new city.
Found it worth while
ROGER_D, Apr 2026
The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The ability to hop on and off was very convenient as you will be near Ann of the main sites. We walked between a few of the stops just because but could have easily taken the tour bus and seen everything too
We got on at union station. Information is a little iffy on the pickup location but it’s right out front. We drove into town, finding parking was a nightmare as was the traffic on a Sunday.
Checkin went smoothly once the checkin agent came over to the stand
A little pricy … as everything in DC was but all in all worth it for the ease of seeing the sites
Great if you have lots of time to spare in DC
ANGELA_L, Apr 2026
Drivers and staff were great! Traffic in DC not so great. You can get much more in with your time with the Metro
Start at union station!...
Sara_H, Apr 2026
Start at union station! Easy to hop on and off. Very informative and drivers are great! A lot of construction downtown so it was easier to use trolly!
Great way to see DC
Penny_C, Apr 2026
Start early to take advantage of this. Wish it ran till about 8. Would be helpful. Drivers were great. Had a brand new guy and he was awesome!!!!
Would do this again.

Ok experience
Patricia_B, Apr 2026
Very confusing about getting on different buses the guide talked so fast I could barely understand him
Good tour, lack of information on the customer service side
Aaron_W, Apr 2026
The tour was educational!
The lack of being told so many road closures would create such an issue with the tour is another thing. Several of the stops were unavailable because of the road closures.
Would have been best if a disclaimer was on the website stating such an issue.
M Dot is an excellent tour guide!
Great experience
Carlos_H, Apr 2026
Hollywood-Driver and tour guide was exceptionally courteous and professional. Planning is really necessary due to traffic congestion can cause delays and less time to visit all sites.. Get more tour days.
Economical and reliable

Most economical and efficient way to see Washington DC. Drivers are knowledgeable and fun. Appreciate their information.

Annabel_M, Apr 2026
The stops are too far apart and Arlington is not direct and not after 4.

I never received my tickets. I was not able to get anyone to communicate regarding the confirmation and they would not refund
It's ok!
David_P, Apr 2026
The tour was OK and convenient. One driver and guide we thought was not good. His name was Duke. He talked down to people trying to board the trolley and was harsh in his descriptions of the sights. The driver from the Lincoln Memorial to Arlington and back was great!

Don’t waste your time or money
KAREN_K, Apr 2026
Do not do this tour. First of all there were not 21 stops plus Arlington as advertised. This is False advertising. There were 15 of which 3 were not accessible due to 250 anniversary renovations. I realize that part is not in their control and I am not dinging them for that. However I do not know what happened to the other 6 stops plus Arlington cemetery. When I went to the main welcome center the guy scanned our ticket and gave us a booklet with 15 stops. I said what about Arlington he said you need a ticket for that. and he had no idea as to the 21 stops. I said my ticket included Arlington - you would think he would have seen it when he scanned it. He said well stops 8 and 9 are closed so you need to get off at 7 and walk quite a ways to take another bus…not to mention it was very hard to find the stops,. We started at their main center thinking we can take the bus straight through and then on the next round get off where we wanted. . We waited 30 minutes there for the bus to leave only to go one stop with a tour guide that talked so fast we could not understand him, we were told that we had to change buses to continue. We then waited 20 minutes for that next bus to leave. After two stops we just got off. We realized we had spent more time waiting then in the bus. It was not only a complete waste of money but also a complete waste of time! We did take two different tours on our trip to DC which we enjoyed very much. This one was a complete disappointment!
Not impressed or worth the money
Martha_C, Apr 2026
Get there early, check the trolley stop maps for what you most want to see. We should of just rented an electric bike

2nd time/ 2nd city- highly recommend

This was our 2nd time with OTT. We highly recommend it. A great- quick way to get a tour of the city and learn the history. My 9 YO learned quite a bit from the audio tour.

Melissa_S, Apr 2026
I usually love the old town, trolley tour, and I have taken many of them, but this was a very big let down. They said that the trolleys ran every 20 to 30 minutes and I did not find theat to be true to include the first trolley of the dayand when I took one of the last tours of Arlington, I found myself and four other lovely women stuck with no returns over the bridge. We were told that they didn’t realize that there were other others waiting or left behind at the cemetery
We could “hop off” but we couldn’t “hop on” again.
Tommy_A, Apr 2026
We were able to “hop off” at the designated stop, but the busses were too full for the “hop on” to the next attraction.
The drivers / tour guides were great, but there were not enough of them.
They should run more trams or stop selling tickets when all seats are filled. Because of your unavailability of seats the four of us, including 80-year-old Grampa walked nearly 5 miles despite the $55 EACH we paid to not have to walk!
