Monuments

PAUL_F, Apr 2026
Lots of walking, could not follow the route because of construction around the White House. Narrative points out many buildings, only a few monuments, wish there was more narrative with information.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Paul, I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I can’t control construction but I’m happy to report that only the first few stories would have been affected (and can be played manually when standing to the side of the construction). The other good news is that the tour is valid forever, so you can revisit and explore any sections you may have missed. I’d also love to understand which monuments you’d like to have added—was there anything specific? Your input is valuable and helps me improve the experience. Please feel free to reach out—I’m available daily from 9 AM to 6 PM EST.

Comprehensive walking tour

Kendra_A, Oct 2025
Very enjoyable walking tour that was very comprehensive of the sites in the area. Instructions were easy to follow. Many sites were closed with the government shutdown, but we still got the information about them as we walked by. We spent about 3.5 hours with a bit of time to stop at the various memorials. Could take all day if you spend more time at the sites.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Kendra, I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed my Washington DC Monuments Self-Guided Audio Tour and found it comprehensive and easy to follow! It’s great that you were still able to explore and learn about the sites even with the government shutdown closures. That’s one of the perks of the self-guided format — you can take your time and still experience the whole story. I really appreciate your thoughtful feedback. If you plan to return to Washington, I invite you to explore my other tours, such as those to North Cascades National Park, Mt. Rainier, and Olympic National Park. Happy travels!

Good tour for doing it at your own pace.

Karen_S, May 2025
It was convenient for a quick visit. I found getting the information downloaded a bit confusing. The QR codes do absolutely nothing. Instead you have to wade through the onslaught of emails to find a password. Why not have the QR code just take you directly to the tour?

Response from Host, May 2025

Karen, I’m glad the tour helped you explore at your own pace, and I appreciate you bringing the confusion around setup to my attention. I’ve disabled the QR code since it wasn’t displaying anything useful. Instead, all crucial instructions are sent separately via text and email, and it’s essential to follow those to get started smoothly. Thank you again for your feedback—I'm always available from 9 to 6 if you need help or would like to try another tour.

The little we used was great

Janice_J, Apr 2024
We honestly did not get a chance to explore much on our own (we booked too many tours), but the bit we did listen to was great. I probably would have preferred doing the self guided.

Response from Host, Apr 2024

It sounds like you had a packed schedule, Janice, but I'm thrilled you enjoyed the parts of the Washington DC Monuments tour you experienced! Good news: your purchase comes with a full year's access, so you have plenty of time to return and explore at your leisure. Whether you dive deeper into DC's history or want to enjoy a more relaxed pace next time, the tour will be waiting for you, ready to enrich your journey with fascinating stories and insights. We are looking forward to having you back for the whole experience!

Family trip

Michael_B, Apr 2023
Enjoyed the audio tour and allowed us to go at our own pace. Wish Vietnam memorial was a primary stop on the tour. Don’t think it should be excluded from the main walk. Pretty important monument

Response from Host, Apr 2023

Thank you so much Michael! That flexibility is one of the best features of my self-guided tour. The Vietnam Memorial is currently an optional detour in the tour (because of a change to the route where people were getting confused). But I’ll keep your suggestion in mind! If you plan to travel more, you may like my Action+ Tour Bundle (it has all of my self-guided tours, over 100).
