An unforgettable day in Sintra with Bruno

My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Sintra with Bruno as our private guide and driver, and we couldn't have asked for more. We visited the grounds and terraces of Palácio da Pena, had free time to explore the historic center including Quinta da Regaleira and views of the National Palace, enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, and finished the day at the breathtaking Cabo da Roca. Splendid private tour of Sintra with Jorge

A tour of the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace makes for a fantastic half day in Sintra. There is a colorful wow factor to the Palace, but the Castle is also fascinating. Jorge was a superb guide — not only well informed and good humored, but very considerate of older tourists. A private tour with Jorge deserves more than 5 stars.

Our guide Bart was phenomenal. If you’re booking a Sintra tour stop searching and book this now. Bart and his colleague Alex are Sintra locals. All we had to do was get ourselves to Sintra from Lisbon and they provided detailed instructions for train and uber. There were 4 total people in our group. We skipped all main entrance lines and passed by every giant tour with the flagpoles. We never had to wait and didn’t have to take the giant shuttles up to the top. We actually even missed our train into Sintra (totally our fault), and Bart communicated with me via WhatsApp and met up with us separately as soon as we got into town. This was a 10/10 experience.

Sintra

Sintra was beautiful. The palaces and fort are amazing. The history is so interesting and the area beautiful. Be prepared to walk on uneven terrain. The town is a mixture of quaint and historic, and very friendly. The pastries are excellent and regional food delicious, but what really made the trip was our guide, Nomo. His knowledge of history, ecology and the area was very impressive. He was a great guide and very patient. Highly recommend him.

Beautiful Sintra!

Margarida was a fantastic driver. There was a lot of traffic that day and she called to tell us she was going to be a little late ( maybe 20 mins) more time to enjoy our morning coffee. We did a half day at Sintra. she showed us all of the highlights, including the outside areas of the palace, the Moorish castle, and a little bit of the downtown. She was knowledgeable and efficient. Our tour from Lisbon to Porto was excellent. Our tour started right on time. Our guide Jose picked us up at our hotel and even waited for us while we had a coffee. He shared wonderful knowledge and insights along our trip. He also provided us with a detailed list of what to do and where to eat in Porto. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you can get José.

Great guide

We had a wonderful day touring Sintra with Pedro M. Our group of eight had a wide range of interests, and Pedro did an excellent job tailoring the itinerary so that everyone got to see and experience what they were most interested in. His knowledge of the history, culture, and local area was impressive, but what really made the tour special was his friendly personality and great sense of humor. Excellent full day tour of Sintra sights and coast

We were skeptical about doing a guided tour for Sintra. My wife and I were going to go on our own via train/bus. But then I read the reviews that spoke so highly of Bruno, and thought it would be nice not to have to worry about any logistics. Turned out there was a transit strike on the day of our tour. So it sure is a good thing we didn’t try to go on our own. Bruno picked us up on time and offered us options to customize the day. I think we ended up doing the standard grouping of activities, and it worked out very well. We saw so much! Being on a private tour all day with someone has the possibility to be weird if you don’t like the tour guide. This was not an issue at all. Bruno is so nice and welcoming and knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed our time with him. He’s great at his job, and seems like an overall great person. We are very happy we did this tour with him, as we learned a lot and saw a lot - with some short periods of time mixed in to explore the town of Sintra and Cascais on our own. Beautiful! And easy! Don’t overthink it, leave it all to Bruno, see all the highlights, and have a great time.
