Sofia is the best!!! 10/10
Sofia Pena gives an absolutely breathtaking tour of Sintra and Cascais. She is a Sintra native and knows the people and places like the back of her hand. Sofia customized our tour to fit our interests and abilities. Her knowledge and love of of history, nature, symbolism, culture, and how these interconnect leads to an extraordinarily rich tour experience. Cannot recommend highly enough, and can’t wait to return and see more of this beautiful part of Portugal with Sofia!

Sintra, the palace and the Vila
John was our guide and he was awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great personality, especially when telling us stories. He lives in Sintra which is a huge plus. I would definitely choose him again for a wonderful and enjoyable experience!

Great tour outside the city
We had an amazing spirit experience. If you’re looking for a tour outside of the city that looks at nature and all of the natural wonders of Lisbon this is a great all day experience. The winery tour was also very good and very informative. our guide. Our guide was great and knowledgeable and very easy to understand. Would highly recommend this trip.

Personalized excursion
Nuno made our outing extra special with all the details—how to access the palace with the shortest wait time, the best photo opportunity for the Moor castle, how to order our pastry and enjoy it in the palace garden in Sintra, etc. The list is too long. He has a wealth of historical knowledge and is very personable. We definitely think it was worth the splurge.

Fantastic Private Walking Tour in Sintra
Can’t say enough good things about this tour! It had everything I wanted and more. João was a fantastic tour guide, had all sorts of historical and interesting facts and anecdotes about the area, and castles, as well as the flora and fauna on the trails all the way up the mountain and back down. We hiked up through the streets and trails, through the Moorish Castle grounds and up to Pena Palace, then back down through the gardens and Land of Lakes. It’s a moderate to challenging hike with lots of steep hills and steps on the way up and back down, at times uneven as well so make sure to wear sturdy shoes with good grip, and comfy clothes because I definitely broke a sweat, but It’s well worth the views and photos! It’s a quick train trip (45-ish minutes) on the Metro above-ground train from Roma-Areeiro to Sintra station right near where the tour starts. If I could give this tour more than 5 stars, I would!
