Best way to see The Vatican

It was a once in lifetime experience to see the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter’s Basilica. Special thanks to our tour guide Nicolas aka Klaus from CityWonders tour for a very thorough explanation and focusing on key things on the entire 3 hour tour. He focused on work by Michelangelo with his work as a sculptor and then also on his work as a painter which is beyond admiration when you see the ceiling of Sistine Chapel. It was a humble moment to stand in the St. Peter’s Basilica and see The Pieta by Michelangelo and to hear the story of how the statue was damaged in 1972 and later on restored. Klaus had old photos and references to give context to his narration of the tour. We as a family did not release when 3 hours had passed. It is an experience that we will always cherish. Thank you Klaus.

Beautiful show--even for kids!

We LOVED this experience! We'd wanted to see an operatic performance, but we knew that our kids (ages 9 and 12) might only tolerate a short one. This was perfect! The music was beautiful, and it was fun for me to realize that I recognized a lot of it. (Lots of classical hits!) The setting was great, too--with no bad seats in the room. And the view over the Trevi Fountain was great! It felt like we were in a private palace, waving to the crowd down below.

Highly recommended tour. Catalina was the best!

Really enjoyed this tour with Catalina as our guide - she was fantastic, knowledgeable, and there was not a dull or boring moment. The audio devices were also helpful with the crowds and also being able to move around while still hearing the tour guide. Definitely worth taking this one.

Beautiful experience!

I had the privilege to see the Three Tenors at St. Paul’s Within the Walls and it was such a blast! The singers were incredible—not just world-class voices, but also funny and charismatic. They really knew how to work the room. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and hearing them backed by the live strings and piano made the whole night feel so much more intimate and special. The music filled the church perfectly and really tied the whole performance together. If you’re in Rome, I absolutely recommend it!

Perfect experience to book to break up fast paced touring in Rome

Very enjoyable, unique experience. Singers were great and ambience was beautiful. We had booked several walking and food tours, museums and monuments, on top of day trips to Pisa and Florence for our total of 5 days in Rome, so it was pretty hectic. This was a nice change of pace to slow down and just take in the city and the music from the rooftops. Also, during part of this experience there was some light rain and wind and we appreciated that they went ahead with the performances anyway.

Lovely evening performance

Depending on the weather the seating area can be open air. The roof top view is lovely, overlooking pzza navona and beyond. They serve a generous portion of charcuterie and a couple glasses of wine. The duet (tenor and soprano) give an explanatory overview of the arias, are gracious and do a great performance.

Oh, What a Night

To be sitting in a beautiful 150yr old church in Rome, enjoying the performance of Three Tenors, a ballerina and exceptional musicians was more than I imagined it would be. Each performance seemed to play on different emotions. Very happy that we took a second look at this when going through the many events on the Viator site and reserved our evening!

Stunning, lovely… must experience!!!

My husband and I spent an absolutely lovely afternoon at the event…. Between the wine and hors d’euorvers, the magnificent view, and the *incredibly* talented singers we could not have been more delighted with the experience. The soprano took time to introduce each song and explain its context and significance. It was the perfect ending to our first visit to Rome. Would HIGHLY recommend to all travelers - especially those who are inexperienced with opera, like myself!

Biking Around up and down

Most enjoyable but if you do not ride a bike well then use this services golf car tour. If you have good balance and like adventure with friends or your teenage children this is GREAT. A group of 6 is best because groups of 10 or more it’s difficult to navigate and stay together. Marco has many historical facts that add color to the structures seen along the tour. If you have a biking water bottle, GoPro or other device to use with a bike bring it. The pizza after the tour was the best thin crust we have had yet and our waiter was so much fun. We used the full 4 hrs and closed the restaurant. Best event for my friends and I yet.
