The guide will wait for you at the entrance of the Coffee shop Vittoria, close to Porta Marina Inferiore entrance. Be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the starting time, in case of any delay the guide WILL NOT wait since it is a group tour and the entrance tickets are booked for that time.

Make your way to the Pompeii excavation on your own (it's an easy trip from Naples or Sorrento on the Circumvesuviana train to the Pompei Scavi station). Meet your guide not far from the entrance to the Pompeii archaeological site. From there, follow your guide into the ancient city and travel back in time.
Learn about the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79 that buried Pompeii and preserved it. Walk on ancient Roman cobblestones, looking out for the ruts left by wagon wheels.
Visit the theater, where once there were lively performances of tragedy and comedy. See Pompeii's thermal bathhouse, where residents would go regularly to bathe, exercise, and gossip. Peek into the remains of local businesses, such as restaurants, bars, and shops selling food and clothing.

Excellent, smaller group tour. Our guide was energetic and fantastic. We were easily able to see important sites and learn fun facts and history. We were given plenty of free time at the end to explore.

Lelo, our guide was fabulous. Witty, energetic and so incredibly knowledgeable. You could absolutely tell he knew the site inside and out after having worked on the digs for ten years.The two hour tour just flew by and every minute was really enjoyable

Italo was an excellent guide. Passionate, informative and very aware and conscientious of showing us the highlights without being caught up in crowds. Would recommend and if you have the time to stay after the main tour you should, there is so much to see and the site is huge!! Italo will also set you up well to continue your sightseeing, and equip you with some great lessons to help shape the way you see Pompeii.

Our guide Leilo , from the very start embraced us like his own family and exuded charm and wit and we knew we were in good hands.
Leilo’s oration throughout the tour was engaging and brought to life the experience of Romans at the time of Vesuvius eruption. His detailed observations and vivid depictions would inspire the most apathetic tourer. Leilo was able to make tangible links between past and present that demonstrate the genius of Pompeians
We were a group of five including three children ranging from 11 to 18. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it’s charismatic guide.
The genius of the tour is the way it is skilfully structured so that by the end everyone had not only greater understanding, but a thirst to know more.

Me and my best friend only had half a day to explore Pompeii, and we’re so happy with the tour. Lello was our guide and was very informative and interactive. It was me and my friend and a family of 3, so it was more personal than the other tours of 25+ people. I chose this tour because I wanted a small, intimate group, and with someone who really knew their stuff. Well, we were not disappointed! The guide (totally forgot to get his name) walked us through many places and fully explained everything we were looking at. Italo provided a comprehensive and professional experience. He welcomed and encouraged questions even from the youngest members of the group. He shared a deep knowledge of the site and the history of Pompeii. He demonstrated his passion for maintaining the integrity of the site by admonishing tourists for picnicing on the ruins. This, unfortunately, occurred more than once. Other guides just walked by. I would highly recommend a tour with Italo.
