Claudia was magnificent! We did a private tour with her with us and two friends. She was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us tons of details and information on Pompeii that we would have otherwise had no idea. Although we visited in middle of October, still busy but Claudia did an incredible job of navigating the crowds and knowing exactly how to get around them and which areas to get to before the crowds. She was also very friendly and personable. If visiting, this tour is a must and Claudia was amazing! 10 out of 10, would highly recommend! Thank

We toured Pompeii with Vincenzo and he was absolutely fantastic. It can sometimes be a challenge to keep a whole family fully engaged in a historical site for hours but Vincenzo managed it effortlessly. He brought the ruins to life with incredible stories, deep historical knowledge and a great sense of humor. He knew exactly how to navigate the crowds and showed us hidden gems we would have completely missed on our own. If you want a guide who makes history fascinating for all ages, ask for Vincenzo! Legend! 10/10 would recommend!

We deliberately chose to do this tour with a private guide. It not cheap but for us it was worth it. If youre not an historian or archeologist and just want the lowdown of what happened then this is perfect. Just around 2 hours and we saw the main highlights of Pompeii. Many people just wanted to wander round on their own but they were constantly needing directions (from our guide of where this or that is located!) Daniela (our guide) was perfect. Excellent English and such a fun style. She made Pompeii come alive and we could imagine ourselves "back in the day"! We drove ourselves there (from Sorento). Parked for €10. Excelleny half day excursion.

We had a great tour with Alona! We covered so much ground while not getting exhausted - the tour was the perfect length and she provided so much background without it feeling like too much. Also, I tripped early in the tour and Alona brought medical support over right away so I could enjoy the rest of the tour. Highly recommend this experience!

Angela was exceptional. She knew the areas of Pompeii that are most of interest and could help us navigate the vast site with ease. She showed us a wide variety of sights and was able to help our teenage children to connect what they already know about the Romans to what they were seeing and experiencing. Her English was superb and she was very friendly.

Having visited Pompeii before with a large group, I knew firsthand how indispensable an experienced guide is. It's an enormous site, you could spend days exploring, and simply walking around looking at things without context is a missed opportunity.
Taking my family for the first time, I wanted to make sure we got the most out of it, especially for the teens. We booked a private guide for just our group, which made all the difference. Over three hours, we stayed on schedule, covered the highlights, and had someone who could answer every question thrown her way.
Our guide, Daniela, was outstanding. With a degree in archaeology and deep knowledge of the site, she brought Pompeii to life in a way that kept everyone engaged. The whole family agreed, she made the experience.

Silvia is the best! A tour guide is a must for Pompeii, ideally a private tour. We were lucky enough to book one and did the faster version (2 hours) with Silvia. She was incredible. She has a background in both history and archaeology. We learned so much while she kept it fun and kept us shaded as much as possible!

Our Guide Carmine was exceptional, he kept us away from the large crowds and hit all the key spots for us to help beat the traffic of people and the heat of the day. Recommend if you go to Pompeii to take a guide like this. It is a massive area to cover and if you want an educated guide, this was amazing!

Daniella did a great job showing us the sights of Pompeii. She contacted us before we arrived to make sure we would find her and was a wealth of information. Pompeii would have been much different without a guide. It was definitely worth it!

Daniella was incredible. We did the 3 hour experience and were able to see so much of the city. Daniella led us through all of the must-see areas but also made an effort to take us away from the crowds and show us things that were harder to find or know exist. She was a fountain of information and helped paint a great picture of what we know about Pompeii. She was patience when our train got delayed and still made sure we went on our full tour. I can’t recommend this private experience enough - it was perfect for those who want the most immersive in a day trip from Rome!

Daniela was our guide for Pompeii and connected with me via WhatsApp a few days prior to our tour. We met at restaurant suisse near the Pompeii entrance and she did a fabulous job explaining all the details of Pompeii in 2 hours for our group of 12. She was very patient in making sure everyone (kids and grandparents) kept up with the group and took pics for us as well. Easy to understand and a pleasure to learn from! If you bought tickets but don’t have a guide, I highly recommend getting one otherwise you don’t know what you’re looking at. There were so many people who didn’t have a guide who listened in ours when possible.

Our private tour of Pompeii was amazing!! Vincenzo was the best tour guide we’ve encountered while on our trip to Italy. First off, he greeted us with a warm welcome and a smile. He proceeded to tell us about the history of Pompeii in an engaging and interactive way. Our three teenage daughters learned so much and loved every minute of the tour! If you get the chance, hopefully you get Vincenzo as your tour guide, he is amazing - and so knowledgeable!

Silvia was very personable and she had a wealth of knowledge about Pompeii. We did a two hour tour and she started the tour on the opposite way of the tourist trail. By the time we finished the tour we skipped most of the people and saw the most important parts of Pompeii. She made sure to answer any questions we had and walked at a reasonable pace.

This was a great tour! I appreciated the communication ahead of the tour. Confirmation, reminders , details etc. Analisa our guide was wonderful. She did a great job navigating around the crowds and hitting the highlights. She provided the right amount of information without it being overwhelming. She also provided a great resturant recommendation for lunch in Naples as well as directions for navigating from train station to our planned visit in Naples.

Excellent tour. Pompeii is now a huge site with so much to see. Our private tour with Alona was great. She guided us away from the big groups wherever possible and gave very thorough explanations of the important sites. Kept a good pace and covered a lot of territory and background information . 10/10.

Absolutely book this tour without hesitation - worth every penny! We had the absolute privilege to have Daniela as our guide and cannot imagine how we would have gotten anything nearly as special out of a larger group tour. Beyond the dedicated attention of a private guide, it was the attention that Danela brought to small details that we certainly would have otherwise missed that made this an even more powerful experience. I use a manual wheelchair full time. The first thing to say is Pompeii is accessible enough and if you can, do a private tour. Your guide will walk you thru the accessible spots and you'll spend less time back tracking. The streets are crowded and our guide worked with the other guides to clear a path whenever we came up to a crowd. You will need some upper body strength to move thru all of pompeii. It was much easier with my Free Wheel that kept my front wheels elevated. Without it a lot of wheelies would be needed.
Second, if you don't use a wheelchair, still get a private tour if you can! We learned so much and the time flew by, guided by Claudia. She had so many interesting stories about the places, the history, and had a passion for it all that was infectious. We did a 3hr tour and we ended arou.d the center of town but did cover a ton in that time. After lunch my wife and I explored on our own, and with the lessons Claudia provided, we could see so much more than if we were on our own all day. It was such an amazing experience!

If you are considering a trip to Pompei, this is the guide service to use. My family of four just finished a 3 hour private Pompei tour with Carmine. It exceeded my expectations! Carmine was born and raised in Pompei and has been giving tours for 22 years. He knew all the best spots for us to stop and knew how to avoid all the crowds. It was a fascinating tour! We would have missed so much doing a simple audio tour. I highly recommend!

This was the best way to be introduced to the amazing Pompei city. Our guide was very personable, she took us to a different after my husband asked her a question, and provided wonderful information about what we were seeing. This is the only way to tour the area.
