Claudia was magnificent! We did a private tour with her with us and two friends. She was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us tons of details and information on Pompeii that we would have otherwise had no idea. Although we visited in middle of October, still busy but Claudia did an incredible job of navigating the crowds and knowing exactly how to get around them and which areas to get to before the crowds. She was also very friendly and personable. If visiting, this tour is a must and Claudia was amazing! 10 out of 10, would highly recommend! Thank

This was the best way to be introduced to the amazing Pompei city. Our guide was very personable, she took us to a different after my husband asked her a question, and provided wonderful information about what we were seeing. This is the only way to tour the area.

Great visit to Pompeii with Roberta. Super knowledgeable and all her experience knowing which areas and houses to spend the most time. We did 3 hours and were very glad we did not rush a 2 hour visit.

The tour of Pompeii was a highlight of our trip. One of the benefits of the private tour is that you get to avoid the long lines to enter. The other key is having the right guide. Our guide was Daniela. She was awesome! She had a background in archaeology and deep expertise in the history of Pompeii. The size of Pompeii is overwhelming and Daniela guided us to key locations within Pompeii. She was passionate, engaging, friendly and had a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend a tour of Pompeii with Daniela as your tour guide!!

We went late afternoon and met Vincenzo. He did a superb job informing us about Pompei. He gave us an insight into how people lived there and showed us the main sites. Highlight of our trip so far with incredible ruins that are still able to be viewed. Late afternoon was a great time to go as the place was empty.

Our guide Alona had exceptional knowledge, was informative, kind and very passionate about Pompei. She was excited about our tour and we had a fantastic 3 hours with her and saw everything we wanted to see and more.

Daniela was great. She really brought Pompeii to life. From the very beginning, she made us feel as though we travelled back in time. She was very knowledgeable and navigated the crowds. I thought I knew what to expect on this tour, but my mind was blown away.

Our guide Daniella was wonderful! She was so passionate and knowledgeable about Pompeii. I could have listened to her all day. Daniella was also very helpful with assisting one of our party who had some mobility challenges. She was considerate and took our party to the most accessible parts of the city and found us multiple places to rest as needed. Our experience was truly delightful!

Claudia was an exceptional guide. With 2 children in our group she made sure the tour was informative but relevant enough to keep their interest.
She covered a lot of Pompeii in the 2 hours we had but definitely could’ve done with more time.

Alona our tour guide via Viator took us for an amazing 3 hour private tour of Pompeii. She was friendly, polite, and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Pompeii. She took us to see the hidden gems of the ancient city. We learned so much from her and the history of Pompeii that we would not have been able to learn if we had visited on our own.
Pompeii is huge. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes because there are very uneven surfaces everywhere.
Our family really enjoyed the tour and learned a great deal.
We would highly recommend Alona!

Claudia was kind, helpful and really showed us some of the hidden gems of Pompeii. There were so many small things we would’ve overlooked if we were just walking this on our own. Especially with the multigenerational group it really helped us appreciate the archaeological wonder and the history that goes along with this really precious site. It’s not the kind of place you just check on the list. You really want to understand it and we can’t recommend doing it with a guide like this enough!

Great 2 hour tour of Pompeii! We were short on time so we scheduled a 2 hour private tour with entry at 13:00. Carmine was an excellent guide. He made sure we saw all the most important sites and provided in depth explanations as well. We never would have seen as much on our own. I highly recommend Carmine as a guide.
