Great experience and guide. You will only see about 10% of the site on your tour as it's massive. We made our own way there by train. It meant we could stay in after the tour had ended for as long as we needed. Would recommend doing the same. It's a must see though!

The tour was incredible as we got to see the sights across Pompeii while also gaining excellent, in-depth knowledge from our wonderful tour guide, Antonella. The added bonus of getting extra hours at the sight after the tour also added to the positive experience. Would 100% rebook this again.

Pompeii tour

Rowena_P, Sep 2026
Raphaella took us on a fascinating tour of Pompeii covering about 30-40% of the site. She showed us some amazing houses in Pompeii and explained the history of them. The pace was just right allowing us to explore, learn and ask questions. Raphaella was very knowledgeable and made the tour both interesting and fun.

Vincenzo was great! He was so informative and we really enjoyed our tour with him. Pompeii is so beautiful and there’s so much to learn and see. Highly recommend booking a tour and seeing the ruins with someone who knows the history and can help you understand what all the buildings were.

Ok experience

Bryan_S, Sep 2026
Rafaella was great and was very informative. The tour site was incredibly crowded. 2 hours is plenty as it is information overload and becomes repetitive. Glad we did it but won’t do it again.

Archaeology is full of facts and evidence!

Vernon_B, Sep 2026
It’s a 2-hour tour ……..full of fun facts & info. Paolo was our tour guide and he kept everyone involved and answered group members questions with professionalism.

Fantastic Tour with Guilua

Beth_P, Sep 2026
Giulia was an amazing and informative tour guide!! She was very knowledgable and funny too:). We learned so much ! Highly recommend the tour especially if you are lucky enough to have Giulia!

Informative, engaging and worth it

Jackie_L, Sep 2026
Our tour guide Sylvia was extremely knowledgable, engaging and friendly. The site is huge, so it would be impossible to cover it all over two hours we thought we saw a good range of things. The number in the group being capped at 20 was great as it meant you could see and hear everything. If you did lag behind the headset meant you could still hear what she was saying. There’s plenty more to see after the tour so would recommend factoring that in to your travel plans. Would definitely recommend.

Raffaella was a fantastic guide! We saw quite a few ruins over the course of two hours and her expertise was very important. Thanks to her, it was much easier to understand and appreciate the buildings, ruins, and art that we saw

Very knowledgeable guide. We arrived early and they allowed us to join the earlier tour which was greatly appreciated.

Awesome day in Pompeii

Douglas_W, Sep 2026
A must do while in Italy. It is incredible what they have uncovered from days gone by. Francisco was a great tour guide.

Pompeii two hour tour

Lorraine_E, Sep 2026
Pompeii is amazing. I would strongly recommend a visit here and choosing to have a guided tour is a better way to learn about what happened. Our guide, Sarah, was very informative, her English was very clearly spoken and always happy to answer questions.

Tonia was a great host, great experience

SianMarie_F, Sep 2026
Such an interesting and beautiful experience. It’s also helped that we had a great host called Tonia. Highly recommend this visit and definitely with a guided tour

Vini vidi Pomei

Chris_C, Sep 2026
Our guide Yolanda was very professional and friendly. We paid for the smaller group with an archeological expert. Other groups were much larger. We perhaps had 15 people total. Everyone wore an ear piece in order to hear Yolanda’s narration. She very knowledgeable and knew every answer to any question. It was very hot and there’s a fair bit of walking to do on uneven stones. Senior folks struggled a bit. Fascinating ‘bucket list’ place.

Very good time at Pomeii

Trevor_L, Sep 2026
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept the group engaged. It was very hot when we were there but the guide kept us moving into shade.

Engaging passionate guide brings Pompeii to life!

Seema_O, Sep 2026
Our guide, Serena, brought Pompeii to life with her engaging stories, descriptions and explanations of Pompeii’s highlights! She is so passionate about history/culture/archaeology that she made us excited too! Even my husband, who came along grudgingly, loved the tour thanks to Serena’s compelling enthusiasm and lovely Italian accent. Highly recommend, especially if you can get Serena as your guide!!

Great tour of Pompeii

Phil_G, Sep 2026
Alex our guide was amazing 🤩 & Very informative 👍 would of loved to spend more time exploring Pompeii but the heat got the better of us ☀️

Pompeii tour

Alison_J, Sep 2026
Very hot. bring water and good footwear as cobbles uneven. Also sunglasses and a hat to avoid the direct sun

Pompeii visit

Caroline_K, Sep 2026
Sergio was a brilliant guide. The tour was at a good pace and he gave us lots of interesting information so we learned a lot about the life in Pompeii. This was so much better than exploring the site on our own. It was a very hot day and there is little shade so bring sun cream and plenty of water.

Not able to call guide

Amy_R, Sep 2026
There are 2 entrances to Pompeii. We showed our hotel the reservation and were told to go to the wrong meeting point. Upon realizing that, we quickly walked to the correct meeting point, but were unable to find our guide. Calling the guide was not an option, as when I tried to do so multiple times through the app, it did not work. Make sure you are 100% confident of the meeting point, or you won’t be able to contact your guide.

Pompeii

Valerie_B, Sep 2026
Our guide, Ariietta (?) lived in Pompeii city and was very knowledgeable, took us to see as much as possible in the 2 hour time limit, we went on for another hour on our own before leaving site

Highly Recommend - Francesca

Kyle_C, Sep 2026
Francesca was the perfect tour guide. The group was pretty quiet, but it did not stop her from making jokes that made the group laugh. All while remaining extremely informative the whole time.

Fantastic!!

Sonia_S, Sep 2026
A+++ We had an amazing tour, even in the 107° heat. Our guide would take us from place to place and park us in the shade. Amadeus was extremely knowledgeable and seemed so happy to be able to share his knowledge of Pompeii. 2 hrs went by so quickly-there is soo much to see. Even my 15 yr old daughter absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this tour group.

Tristan_W, Sep 2026
Paulo was an excellent guide. We had a great time. We learned a lot and were not too hot. We found shade where we could.

Askos Tours with Diego 🤌🏼

Steven_B, Sep 2026
My wife and I found the guided tour was a great idea, having someone so knowledgeable of the site is exactly what was needed. Diego from Askos Tours was so good, we cannot recommend him and Askos enough. Some advice if you wish to tour Pompeii: take a refillable water bottle, an electronic handheld fan and a small umbrella because the heat is insane, other than that, Askos Tours should be the one for you.
