Itinerary
Meet your archaeologist guide and small group at the Porta Marina Superiore entrance and head directly inside the ruins of Pompeii with skip-the-line tickets. Explore the ancient city to learn about its history and architecture, beginning with the Basilica and Forum. Next, pause to ponder the plaster casts of victims of the famous eruption that destroyed the city inside the Granai del Foro.
Afterwards, stroll along the original paved roads, stopping to admire frescoes and mosaics inside the House of Menander and Stabian Baths before peeking into the most famous brothel ruins in the city. After a walk through the House of the Faun and a brief stop at the Odeon, end with a visit inside the city’s largest theater.

It is a very interesting tour. We had a knowledgeable and passionate guide Charlotte. She knew her Pompeii history. If you do the tour during the heatwave make sure you bring lots of water, sunscreen and a hat.

We had Sergio as our guide and he was really great, even someone who has been there plenty of times found the tour exciting and informative. His English was super fine and easy to understand.
Pompeii was amazing! But!! Bring plenty of water and an umbrella or you might die or at the very least be quite tired - okay okay we might have visited in a heatwave in July but I still recommend it nonetheless!

Fantastic tour. Our guide Amadeus was super knowledgeable and so engaging with us about Pompeii. You could tell he loved what he was doing and also sharing the history and fun of Pompeii. The site can be overwhelming and there are so many things to look at it that it’s nice to have someone there with you to tell you what’s what and the meaning behind it. Would definitely recommend.
Also there is minimal shade at Pompeii so in the summer time I can be very hot. Pack a hat, water and a fan.

The tour covered many of the highlights of Pompeii. We visited some of the homes of wealthy families, the Forum, several temples, the ancient baths, and even the famous brothel. Our guide is very nice and kind. Along the way, he explained what daily life was like in ancient Pompeii.

There are a lot of things to see at Pompeii. Having an expert guide makes the visit so worthwhile. It was very hot and our guide was so good at explaining things and keeping the tour going quickly, but still very relevant. We learned so much and were very happy with our guide

Sara was an excellent guide who gave tons of interesting info and packed our 2hrs with both history and humor. My friend and I looked at each other during the tour multiple times with wide eyes and remarked that we'd love to bring friends and family for this same tour. BOOK IT!

Fabulous tour! Our guide was very informative, engaging, and humorous. We stopped at a lot of the well known spots and a handful of the lesser known ones as well. I appreciated our guide making sure to stop in the shade for longer discussions/info drops as mid-July in Pompeii is very warm. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wishing to learn more about Pompeii.

We so enjoyed our tour. Our guide Anna Sorrento was very knowledgeable and even spent time excavating areas of Pompeii during her career. We considered going without a guide but so glad we decided to book with one. We went at 4pm and there was good shade between the ruins and not crowded at all.

Make sure to pack water and a hat or something for some shade. The tour was much better than expected and our host was incredibly knowledgable and engaging - very sorry to say I can’t remember his name but we will absolutely remember the experience forever! 10/10 would recommended this tour to anyone.

Ilaria was a true expert on Pompeii and provided such an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this tour. We arrived in the afternoon and stored our luggage at the train station (upper level) - that was a smooth and seamless process. The tour was very informative and so interesting. Ilaria provided guidance on other areas we could visit on our own after the tour. Pompeii is big - definitely invest in a guided tour w an expert!
