Bari Walking City Tour

We will depart from Bari at 08:30 for a day exploring three jewels of the Valle d’Itria. Polignano a Mare is a coastal town famous for its cliffs and the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. The historic center, with its narrow streets, arches, and flower-filled balconies, overlooks beaches like Lama Monachile. We will stop here for 2 hours. Ostuni, the “White City,” stands on a hill with spectacular views, and its historic center is a labyrinth of narrow streets where houses whitewashed with “lime” create a unique atmosphere. We invite you to take advantage of the 2.5 hours available to taste typical local dishes. Finally, Locorotondo is renowned for its circular center, white houses adorned with flowers, and the “cummerse,” typical sloping roofs. Amazing experience in Bari May 2026

An absolutely AMAZING experience! We had the chance to make foccacia from scratch, which tasted incredible when out of the oven. We made orecchiette from scratch as well, and Marika showed us the technique to make them, which we then got to practice. It’s harder than it looks! There was an English translator but everyone in our group spoke a bit of Italian. It was wonderful and we enjoyed every second of it. You definitely need to do this when you visit Bari!

Marco was the perfect...

Marco was the perfect guide. His knowledge of the paths to the towns and of the towns was excellent. The pick up location was easy to find. Marco would give us an in-depth description of each town before we reached it and then we were left to explore. Always providing clear information on where we were to meet. The time allowed in each town was perfect. The itinerary was excellent and varied. It gave me a wonderful insight into Puglia.

Phenomenal food, an amazing guide, and zero wait time

We had an absolutely incredible time on the Bari Street Food Tour! Our guide, Lorena, was fantastic—so knowledgeable, passionate about the local culture, and incredibly warm and welcoming. She truly made the experience special. The food was amazing from start to finish. Lorena took us to all the major spots across Bari, giving us a perfect taste of the city’s vibrant culinary scene. One of the absolute best parts of the tour was the seamless experience; because we were with a local guide, we skipped right past the crowds and didn't have to wait in a single line. It was the perfect, stress-free way to explore and eat like a local. I cannot recommend this tour—and Lorena—highly enough!

Great boat ride. Our captain took us to many beautiful spots and navigated expertly into the caves. We learned a lot about the area and saw beautiful views and got great pictures. We had some time to swim and have some prosecco. It was a lovely boat ride. Perfect amount of time and he played good music!

Must do trip in Polignano a Mare

The coastline of Polignano a Mare is full of caves. It is magnificent. This cruise left from the harbour a few kms out of town and traveled along the coast going right in to lots of the caves. The captain was a very skilled driver who navigated the boat in to tight spaces. We loved the outing. We were unfortunate that the weather was cloudy and a bit cold on the day of our trip so we did not swim. But on a beautiful sunny day, the swim stop would have been incredible. I think this is a must do activity whilst in Polignano a Mare. The caves are not claustrophobic if you are worried (as I was)

What a fun cultural and immersive experience and a great way to meet some new people! Chef Paul and Assistant Francesco were fantastico! Everything was catered to all cooking skill levels and ages. The class was informative and well organized. Eating and cheersing to the meals we made was so much fun! I would highly recommend and can't wait to come back to Bari for another class!

Pros and cons - plan carefully

You need to be fit. Lots of up and downs and stairs. The people who struggled held u the whole tour and as a result we did not see the caves we were supposed to see. A bit disappointing. Our guide was above and beyond helpful 5 stars for him. A group of 40 is too large. Especially with needing to translate everything in 2 languages. Company- hire a 2nd guide !!

Excellent way to see Puglia-book it!

Gabriel (Gabry) was and excellent tour guide a driver. He customized the trip to include everything we wanted to see. He is a native Apulian and has extensive knowledge of the entire area and its history. So much better than big tours because we got to spend how much time we wanted in each place.

An excellent introduction to Bari

It is a great introduction to the old town of Bari. Our guide, Alessia was knowledgeable about the food, history and culture of the area. This was evident during the tour as we leaned so much and our tastebuds were tantalized by the excellent food. It is an excellent way to discover all that Bari has to offer.

An experience I will always treasure

This tour was one of the most scenic (as far as architecture) and interesting that I've ever taken. Our guide Vitor was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. His anthropological and historical narrations were amazing. I learned so much! There is a lot of uphill. It may be difficult for people who have trouble walking.

Orecceptional!

Excellent experience. We learnt more than just how to make orecchiette but how to complete an entire meal in a proper way, from the pasta > sauce > components of the dish itself. Daniele was an exceptional teacher and made for a very relaxing and fun few hours. Highly recommend!
