The Pompeii guided tour...
The Pompeii guided tour was wonderful. My family and I enjoyed it very much. The archaeological site itself was fascinating, and our guide made the experience even better with their extensive knowledge and engaging explanations. We learned so much about the history, culture, and daily life of ancient Pompeii. The tour was well organized, informative, and enjoyable for both adults and children. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pompeii.

I don’t remember our guide’s name but he had a hat and umbrella for the sun, but more importantly he was very knowledgeable not only on Pompeii but in general Roman history and other important aspects. He was funny, smart, etc. I have had other tours on our trip that were not worth the hundreds of dollars. This one was maybe 50 dollars for 2 hours per person which felt very fair but actually was a good tour unlike the ones I paid for in Rome.

Amazing!
Our guide RAFFAELE was amazing!! He was extremely kind as we had difficulties finding the group at the meeting spot he waited for us and was easygoing about the situation as we felt very stressed for being late he assured us not to worry. He was very knowledgeable about Pompeii and included a few small bits of humour which kept it light and interesting. He also tried to get us in as much shade as possible as the day was very hot. Thank you RAFFAELE !!! <3

Perfect Perfect Perfect !!!!
This was such an AMAZING experience!! We just can't give enough praise regarding this trip - organization - adventures - food - 'perfect' experience with perfect partners!! Description: small group (6 persons), sites visited were informative and not too exhausting, food served was just amazing! Roberto (our guide and driver) could not have been more accommodating if he tried! Thank you so much for such a perfect opportunity to share memories!

Worth every penny!!!
Absolutely book this tour without hesitation - worth every penny! We had the absolute privilege to have Daniela as our guide and cannot imagine how we would have gotten anything nearly as special out of a larger group tour. Beyond the dedicated attention of a private guide, it was the attention that Danela brought to small details that we certainly would have otherwise missed that made this an even more powerful experience. Her passion for Pompeii and what she does is obvious and infectious. So grateful we got to spend three hours learning from her and her expertise bringing Pompeii to life! Grazie mille Daniela!!

Visiting Pompeii was an unforgettable experience. Walking through the ancient ruins felt like stepping back in time, and it was incredible to see how much of the city is still preserved. Every street, building, and detail told a story, and it really made history feel real in a way books can’t capture.

What a fantastic experience! Right from the beginning, the clear directions made the logistics seamless. Our guide for Pompeii and Herculaneum was absolutely brilliant, keeping us engaged with a great mix of deep knowledge, humor, and encouragement, plus some excellent local travel advice. I can’t recommend this tour enough. If you book it, I truly hope you get the same guide we had!

We went to Pompei two weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very knowledgable he helped us find the best spots for taking pictures and made sure that we saw all the best of Pompeii. He made recommendations of other things to see when the tour was over and encouraged us to explore on our own. Our guide was the best and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone else coming to Pompeii.

Exactly what we were...
Exactly what we were looking for. Meeting place was clear, tour guide (Enzo) was passionate and engaging, leading us to all the key highlights of the ruins, as well as giving us tips for our own continued exploration after the tour. We were so glad we booked this!

Good tour
This is a very exertional hike up Mt Vesuvius and the uneven ground in both locations are challenging for anyone with mobility issues. However, it was great day, the archaeologist was very informative and the hiking guide very cautious and attentive. It was basically like two different tours and after the archaeologist left us in the ruins area, we had to find our way back to the front, try to find food and restrooms on our own before meeting the afternoon hike guide.

Eliana and Pompei- perfect bucket list experience
Ever wait your whole life to see something, only to fear the experience won't live up to the hype? For me, that was Pompeii. I'd been waiting since grade school to walk those streets.
I'd hyped myself with visions of ornate beauty. But that was tempered by the math. Pompeii at its peak was home to nearly 20,000 people. Today, with huge portions of the city still unexcavated, there are typically that many tourists or more all jostling to see the same things.
I braced for the worst.
Thankfully, my wife hired Eliana Sandretti as our guide. Confident, easy going, and carrying more knowledge than any one person should reasonably possess, she managed to make it feel like we nearly had the city to ourselves.
She steered us through the ruins and around the tourist chokepoints without ever making us feel rushed or stalled. The tour moved at our pace. She took time early on to understand what mattered to us, then built the experience around that.
Her eye for detail — sharpened through years as a working archaeologist — consistently surfaced things we would have walked right past. Even more compelling were the stories she told about the people: how they lived, and how they died.
By the end, you'll find yourself glancing uneasily at Mt. Vesuvius, quietly hoping today isn't the day it decides to finish the job.

Highlight of my holiday
We had a great time on our private tour around Pompeii with Italo- he was a brilliant guide, really knew his stuff and had a nice relaxed style too. Obviously the site is massive so we didn’t get to see everything on the tour, but we saw some of the main headlines and it helped having a guide to point out all of the little details that you’d easily miss on your own. Once the tour was completed Italo left us in the forum area and showed us how the grid system worked and that meant that we could use the map provided to go and see other bits of the site that the tour hadn’t included. A great experience.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Pompeii is one of Italy’s most popular attractions, and the well-preserved buildings and roads of the city can give you a greater understanding of ancient Rome. Don’t miss out while in Italy—there are Pompeii day trips you can take from Naples or Rome, so you have a bit of flexibility with your itinerary. Some day-trip options pair Pompeii with another destination, such as the Amalfi Coast or the island of Capri, and some include an expert guide to help you make sense of the site's history.
