A private cruise from the city to the remote fjord Mofjord north of Bergen. We leave Bergen, with the backdrop of the seven mountains surrounding the city, including Mount Fløyen and Mount Ulriken. The scenery changes from the second largest city in Norway, to when we move into the fjords, and depending on temperature, hopefully reach the ice. Enjoy the day on the fjords, and hopefully it will be cold enough for some ice bathing. If no ice, it will any way be cold enough for a really refreshing dip in the fjord, maybe under a cascading waterfall. When you come back in the warm and cozy boat, we have towels, a warm shower, a warm cup of coffee/ tea, or a glas of champagne ready for you. Price including snacks and refreshments onboard, and towels for the bath. Lunch can be arranged onboard, extra. Ice bathing cruise only operate through the winter, October - March. The hunt for the Northern...

The hunt for the Northern lights was fun. Bring your patience, you are subject to Mother Nature. Our guide Magda was awesome, she was very knowledgeable . We didn’t see the lights on our first stop but she found us another spot that we got to see a spectacular Northern Light show. Our driver was great too. He safely navigated through some very dark roads. Overall it was a great experience, I would book again with wandering owl.

These Guided Really are Northern Lights Chasers!!!

This excursion was well worth the money. This tour put a big check on my bucket list!! Expect to stay out the 9 hours (time flies). It’s a couple hours ride to get away from the city lights. Liam (tour guide) and Peter (minibus driver) worked as a team to make our experience over the top. There is a whole. Network of light chasers who help each other find the best spots to stop. The first stop we did was OK and we got some nice shots. Liam and Peter made some warm Current drink for us to keep us warm and cookies. They also provided deer skins for us to sit on the tour also provides warm boots and suits that you can put on that really helped as it was pretty cold that night when we found that the sky was not as clear the longer we stayed there, we drove further and found the most amazing spot on a hill. We had a light show that lasted well over an hour. We saw reds and greens and the lights danced and shot across the sky. I’ve never seen anything like it. The served us some dinner and we had a fire for a short time. Liam took pictures of us with the lights in the background, videos and night sky shots with his professional camera. You just have to go with this company- their attention to detail is unbelievable!! David and Suanne

Don’t miss this tour

The tour out of Oslo was excellent. The nearoyfjord cruise was the highlight for me but the whole experience was very good. The Stegastein viewpoint is so dramatic and not busy when we arrived so we could get right to the front. Unbelievable views. We has a brilliant weather day, sunny and warm which added to the overall experience. On the practical front the minibus we travelled on was comfortable and spacious. Our driver/ guide Stig was great, friendly, funny and informative. Thanks again to him.

Best tour in Norway.

It was fabulous. Every bit of it. We had a beautiful Mercedes bus with charging stations at each seat that reclined. We had 2 diff rail way cars, with bathrooms. We stopped at all the best places to sightsee and the Viking village was magnificent . The tour guide was wonderful as well;) Overall the best luxurious tour we have done. Well worth the money. ;)

Great tour for a quintessential Norwegian experience

Very nice ship. Interesting live commentary. First half of the cruise is through the wider fjord, so it gets more dramatic and interesting the further you go. By the end of the fjord you are surrounded by cliffs and waterfalls. Magnificent! Dress warmly if you want to sit outside for the best views.

While in Finland and...

While in Finland and Norway, we enjoyed many arctic activities, but this was our favorite. We’re animal lovers and appreciate a thrill, and this offered both. The people were so kind and educated us on how to do the activity properly but also on how they (and more importantly, the pups!) prepare for it. Although it’s not ideal for children, we brought our 7-year-old and they made it safe and fun for all of us. There are lots of husky opps in the north, but this one appears to be one truly caring for the dogs. The dogs seem happy and are so eager to go for a fun run through the beautiful mountain side. I have no interest in a sport that gratifies me but at the same of the health and happiness of an animal, and these guys seem to do such an amazing job that both humans and pups are healthy and happy to be there.

It was amazing to see the...

It was amazing to see the reindeer herd in their natural environment. It was great to be able to feed them and wander through the herd. We loved the short reindeer ride and appreciated the woollen blanket. The favourite bit for me was the free hot chocolate and biscuits which were available for the duration of the visit. We enjoyed learning about the Sami culture too.

Whale Watching Trip

A quality company providing this trip with a very modern boat. We didn't see any Wales on our day, but it is getting towards the end of the season when the Whales move on out of the local feeding areas following the herring as they migrate, so we were just unlucky. The views were still incredible on the tour and we got to see a good display of the Northern Lights as we headed back towards Tromso.
