Absolutely fantastic ride. Amazing scenery and really exciting riding over the waves. Our captain and guide Axl was really informative and put us at ease. We loved his playlist too which added to the whole experience. Would definitely recommend this company.

We LOVED this tour. It was everything we hoped for. What a beautiful place to visit. Our weather was great which made it spectacular. The Boat ride was SO much fun, and our guide gave us a lot of wonderful information. I would 100% recommend this activity.
We had a fabulous time, Jan was our captain/driver, he was fabulous, very friendly, knowledgeable and excellent handling of the boat. Thank you Jan for making it a really fun excursion of us.
The experience was a lot of fun and our guide Aleksander was awesome. Saw a seal and the view of pulpit rock from below was cool because it looks massive when hiking it but not as much from below.
Fantastic experience made all the better by our friendly guide and expert crew Gian. Definitely worth every penny. Exhilarating, fun and informative.

Our Rib boat tour was amazing! We had the best time and the fjord views were fantastic! Our boat driver, Simon, was the best! They take care of everything in terms of outerwear and it’s a perfect amount of to see the fjord. We arrived from a cruise ship and the meeting place was only a few minutes walk in the beautiful town of Stavanger.
This was one of if not my top tour experience. Great guide, beautiful and comfortable boat, stunning scenery. I highly recommend.

We were in Stavanger on a cruise, the rib boat was just along from the ship, really easy to find.
We were all provided with waterproof overalls and life jackets.
Boat held 12 people, we had three groups of four on our boat.
Myself and my husband are in our mid fifties and our daughters in there early twenties. I was a bit apprehensive that it may be two bumpy for me, but we all loved it.
There is a fast bit between Stavanger and the Fjord, which is a huge thrill, then a mix of fast and slower through the Fjord, stopping to see pulpit rock, smugglers cave and whisky falls. Our guide Marcus was really knowledgeable, he kept a look out for seals for use, sadly they were no longer at the spots they had been seen at earlier in the day, but my daughter had one pop it’s head up briefly alongside her.
Stunning views, beautiful scenery, exhilarating trip. Great music played as well. It’s was nice to view the Fjords from the water as opposed to high up in a cruise ship.
Practical tips, just wear normal clothes for the day, you put overalls on over the top. I had normal pump shoes and we did not get wet.
They have a large waterproof sack you can put your bags into, there is a pocket in the suit to store your phone (tip we invested in phone straps so could take photos without the worry of the phone jolting out of our hands).
They also provide Google’s and gloves if you want them.
The fast bit of the ride is very windy, so remove any loose jewellery, sunglasses etc. I am a hearing aid wearer on one side and thankfully had removed it..
Another tip, tuck the hood of the suit into the top of the Google’s, this helps stop the wind inflating it and it billowing around.
We had booked this trip in advance, via blue light card app, so additional discount, was much cheaper than the same cruise company excursion. Lots of communication from the boat company Fjord Events in the days leading up the rip.
Highly recommend everyone in our party loved it,it was a highlig Of our holiday.

This was a highlight of our entire trip not only for the “old” parents but for the “young adult” sons. The team was organized, communicative, and helpful. The tour was AMAZING! Our guide was knowledgeable and created a fun and inviting atmosphere. The views were breathtaking, the water was clear enough to see jellyfish, and the waterfall was refreshing. Our guide offered and took pictures when asked. With a tight trip to the airport, the land crew had a taxi waiting for us when we got back. This tour left us longing for more fjord experiences.
Really a great trip! Very scenic and an entertaining commentary the entire way. (Great musical playlist for the ride, too!). Captain Alex was full of energy and helped to make the trip a great success. No reservations in recommending this trip to others.
Worth every NOK we spent! Even got lucky and the two uf us were all alone in the boat! The weather looked really bad and I guess the others cancelled, so we have to give credit to our guide Gian who did not cancel our trip but drove us the full ride anyway. A wild ride, completely different experience than the impersonal trip we took on a large boat a few days ago. Great options for photos, the boat almost touches the waterfall, we saw some minks and wild goats on the way (no seals on that day, unfortunately), the guide stopped several times and offered some information about the sights on the way, which is useful for less informed passangers (we came prepared and visitied the fjord before, both by boat and by hiking, so did not really need many information). Guys, spend that extra money, it is worth it! (Not eco friendly, I admit, but...) The gear is top quality (huge goggles and an overall suit), wind and rain will not be an issue, don't be scared. (Think twice only if you usually get seasick.) The fjord is gorgeous on a sunny day, on a gloomy day, on a rainy and windy day. We got lucky and saw all these options within several days. Have fun!
This was WITHOUT a doubt the highlight of our trip, life, etc. what a metal intro to fjords.
A few of us were nervous at first (not me 🤡), but once you’re out there, the magnitude of the fjords and the scenery around you completely takes over. The RIB goes pretty fast, which makes it really fun, but never so fast that we felt unsafe.
They give you thermal suits that keep you surprisingly warm, so the cold and wind really weren’t an issue.
Honestly, this ended up being one of the BEST memories of my life. I can’t recommend it enough. You'll see me again! THANKS SJUR!!!
We rode in a RIB boat operated by Gian Olivares. He took us up to dramatic vertical cliff walls and a waterfall of the fjord. He showed us a cave as well as goats on an island. The bumpy ride back was exhilarating.
We had a brilliant rib trip. The team were very friendly and helpful from the outset.
Our rib driver Shull (hope that’s the correct spelling) was brilliant. He put everyone at ease, was really friendly and very knowledgeable. The trip was a great mix of stops/local info and time going fast on the rib.
My teen daughter thought this was the best part of our whole Norway trip.

The best experience, Jan was amazing, took us to the best spots, very patient and very accommodating. He was also very knowledgeable of the area and the history. We had the music playing all the way and I was dancing to very tone. He also managed to get us so so close to the waterfalls for me to manage getting my head under it, it was heaven. I loved every minute, the rain did t stop us or spoiled a beautiful and amazing day. Thank you Jan for the wonderful and unforgettable day

Really good fun, speeding through the fjords, seeing some stunning scenery. Gets a little bumpy, but that is part of the fun and you feel very safe. Just wear normal clothes as the overalls they give you are weatherproof. Staff were all really helpful and friendly.
If you're after a fjord experience that'll have the whole family grinning, book the RIB safari with Rib Experiences Stavanger. We went the day after England had beaten Norway in football, and our Norwegian skipper took it all in good humor, joking that our lives were now in his hands for the next hour and forty five minutes.
The boat itself felt like a mini World Cup: a Norwegian skipper, two Egyptians, four French passengers, and the four of us English, all crammed into one RIB. No playoffs here though, just everyone united in wanting a great time.
He navigated the fjord at speeds up to forty five knots, all while blasting upbeat tunes like Robbie Williams's Let Me Entertain You, and honestly, the mountain goats we spotted along the way, cheekily named Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, might have entertained us more than the real players ever have.
We ducked into the Smugglers Cave and admired the whisky waterfalls, perhaps a fitting spot for the Norwegian skipper to drown his sorrows after the football result. He explained the history and geology of it all in impeccable English throughout, which was thoroughly impressive given the crowd he was talking to.
Now, the price. At around an hour and forty five minutes, this trip isn't cheap, and how worth it feels may come down largely to the weather on the day. Booking it feels a bit like Harry Kane stepping up to take a penalty. Score it, with sunshine and clear fjord views, and it's an absolute thunderbolt of a memory, you won't think twice about the cost. Miss it, grey skies, rain, and a chilling wind, and you'll be left wondering what you paid all that money for. For us, on the day, with the sunshine, the laughs, the scenery, the commentary and so on, I'd say we scored!
This was a great fun experience. We were travelling on a cruise and the meeting point is only 5 minutes from the terminal. The staff were were nice and Jan the skipper of the rib boat was excellent, he was helpful, explained the safety aspects well and a really nice guy. Would recommend.
