Fab aurora chasing with MAX!!

It was a truly surreal and out-of-this-world experience! We were incredibly lucky that the weather was in our favour that night, making the entire experience even more magical. Max, our guide, was absolutely amazing - knowledgeable, passionate and incredibly hardworking. He explained everything so beautifully and made sure we were comfortable throughout. The entire experience was very well organised and punctual, and the thermal suits they provided were an absolute lifesaver in the cold! Our driver was also extremely kind and wonderful. An absolute highlight of our trip to Stavanger!

Our Lysefjord RIB boat tour was an incredible experience from start to finish. The speed and adrenaline on the open water were thrilling, and getting so close to the massive cliffs of Preikestolen and the waterfalls was unforgettable. The gear they provided kept us perfectly warm and dry the entire time. What really stood out was our driver's fantastic hospitality and explanations of what we were seeing. Gian was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make the trip special. On the way back into the harbor, he perfectly maneuvered the boat into the ideal position and paused so we could get an amazing, unobstructed photo of our cruise ship from the water. That extra personal touch made a great tour even better. If you want a fun, close-up, and personal way to see the fjords without the crowds, this is worth every penny!

Road to Sommeray

We wanted to venture out of Tromso, and we didn’t have a car. This excursion more than met our expectations. Even though it was a cloudy day, the road to Sommeroy was gorgeous! Sommeroy itself had lovely white sand beaches in an archipelago of islands. Highly recommend!

Highlight of our stay in Bergen!

This tour was fantastic! It didn't hurt that we had a glorious, sunny day! We started on the bus and saw some waterfalls before taking a cruise through two different fjords, which ended at Flåm. Flåm itself was just darling, though tiny and we had an hour to explore, which was more than enough time. From there, we hopped back on our bus and headed up to Stegastein viewpoint. Wow! Talk about a highlight! A good thing about going in October was that there were no crowds at the viewpoint or on the road up, which was only wide enough for one car anytime. There are several little spots along the way to pull over and let other cars pass. Our driver and tour guide were both amazing. They were engaging and funny, and our tour guide had lots of interesting facts about Norway to share. Because of our limited time and lack of individual transportation, we felt that this tour was a great way to see all that we did.

The hunt for the Northern...

The hunt for the Northern lights was fun. Bring your patience, you are subject to Mother Nature. Our guide Magda was awesome, she was very knowledgeable . We didn’t see the lights on our first stop but she found us another spot that we got to see a spectacular Northern Light show. Our driver was great too. He safely navigated through some very dark roads. Overall it was a great experience, I would book again with wandering owl.

Don’t miss this tour

The tour out of Oslo was excellent. The nearoyfjord cruise was the highlight for me but the whole experience was very good. The Stegastein viewpoint is so dramatic and not busy when we arrived so we could get right to the front. Unbelievable views. We has a brilliant weather day, sunny and warm which added to the overall experience. On the practical front the minibus we travelled on was comfortable and spacious. Our driver/ guide Stig was great, friendly, funny and informative. Thanks again to him.

Great tour for a quintessential Norwegian experience

Very nice ship. Interesting live commentary. First half of the cruise is through the wider fjord, so it gets more dramatic and interesting the further you go. By the end of the fjord you are surrounded by cliffs and waterfalls. Magnificent! Dress warmly if you want to sit outside for the best views.

While in Finland and...

While in Finland and Norway, we enjoyed many arctic activities, but this was our favorite. We’re animal lovers and appreciate a thrill, and this offered both. The people were so kind and educated us on how to do the activity properly but also on how they (and more importantly, the pups!) prepare for it. Although it’s not ideal for children, we brought our 7-year-old and they made it safe and fun for all of us. There are lots of husky opps in the north, but this one appears to be one truly caring for the dogs. The dogs seem happy and are so eager to go for a fun run through the beautiful mountain side. I have no interest in a sport that gratifies me but at the same of the health and happiness of an animal, and these guys seem to do such an amazing job that both humans and pups are healthy and happy to be there.

It was amazing to see the...

It was amazing to see the reindeer herd in their natural environment. It was great to be able to feed them and wander through the herd. We loved the short reindeer ride and appreciated the woollen blanket. The favourite bit for me was the free hot chocolate and biscuits which were available for the duration of the visit. We enjoyed learning about the Sami culture too.

Whale Watching Trip

A quality company providing this trip with a very modern boat. We didn't see any Wales on our day, but it is getting towards the end of the season when the Whales move on out of the local feeding areas following the herring as they migrate, so we were just unlucky. The views were still incredible on the tour and we got to see a good display of the Northern Lights as we headed back towards Tromso.
