Great tour
This tour was absolutely amazing. The sights were phenomenal. The ride was clean and smooth. The tour guide did a great job explaining the city.

Great food, generous portions and knowledgeable and nice guide. Only issue was that the pace was a bit slow. We had to wait quite a while before our second tasting was ready, which was a little odd since the restaurant was empty.

Just book this one!
Kevin and Manny was an awesome team. Kevin is so knowledgeable and kind and genuine and had kept us laughing. I feel like a New Yorker after that tour, he gave so many nuggets about the city and the history. He was so patient and waited on everyone as we boarded each stop and he made sure that everyone was always accounted for. He should be a standard for tour guides, you can tell he loves what he does. We had a great time. Thanks Kevin and Manny.

New York City
People shopping in Chinatown in New York City.
  • Chinatown is a great place to practice your Cantonese or Mandarin; there is also an increasing number of Fuzhounese-speaking residents.

  • For a dim sum meal, unless you have a party large enough to fill a traditional oversized table, expect to share a communal table with other diners.

  • Although more Chinatown businesses are starting to accept credit cards, some only accept cash or give discounts for paying in cash.

  • You’ll find plenty of deals on designer bags, shoes, belts, and even “Apple” products on Canal Street; but keep in mind many of these goods are counterfeit.

  • New York City actually has two Chinatowns; you’ll find the other one, which is even larger, in Flushing, Queens.
