Captain Dewey triumphs!!!

Captain Dewey was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. He was a great air boat driver. He knew all the right places to see the alligators and even called them by name. He could touch them, get them to open their mouths and even kiss the top of their head. He also knew where to find the eagles and their nest as well as pointing out other birds and wildlife. We saw Grumpy Ernie - a 14 foot old (60-100 years) alligator. This was one of the best tours we did in New Orleans!

Spring Break

Capt. Ernie was an amazing tour guide. A local with lots of knowledge about the area and the bayou. The tour was prompt about boarding time and lasted the hour and forty minutes that it was listed for. We saw several gators and lots of beautiful scenery. Every staff member that we interacted with were friendly and welcoming.

Exceeded our expectations!

We had the best time on the small group tour (with pick up from the French Quarters). Our guide, Captain Jay, was amazing! He literally "called" the alligators to our boat and we were able to see and experience them close up. Jay also shared the history of the area and animal facts with us throughout the ride. It was clear that he had a great amount of respect and love for the land and the animals and we had the best time on this tour. We've done a swamp tour in Florida and were going to pass on this, but so glad we didn't. Thank you Captain Jay!

Can’t miss experience

Best tour I’ve ever done! Capt. Bobby was a hoot and so knowledgeable. He was kissing alligators and we got to hold a baby gator. We went in the spring and the weather was just gorgeous! The boat we rode was actually fast so no need for the airboat in my opinion. Capt. Bobby needs his own tv show, I would tune in every week! Must try experience.

Enthralling tour!

The tour was very interesting and gave a lot of info about the history and start of New Orleans, as well as amazing facts about the places we visited. Jeremy was enthusiastic and full of knowledge, friendly and made the tour even better. I would suggest to future tourists, because it is 1 hr 45 min. Eat before, bring a water and good walking shoes.

The initial introduction was quite a stern one, such that Mama Nita takes her role so seriously born out of the huge respect and responsibility she takes. By the end y’all know what I mean!! The tour is very enlightening, informative and yes, humorous in places. This was made possible by Mama Nita’s knowledge, wisdom, consideration and wicked sense of humour. We would thoroughly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky enough to have Mama Nita as your guide then it will be so much more.

Great staff, poor management.

We enjoyed our guide. She was knowledgeable and personable. The carriage was comfortable. However, the “manager” on shift was pretty horrible. He wasn’t overtly friendly, he seemed extremely disorganized, he waited until the very last second to inform the carriage drivers of what group number they’d have. Then he gave the horse in front of the command to leave, but still had our carriage and horse tethered to it, so we unexpectedly jolted forward. He seems arrogant and inexperienced; while also demeaning towards the drivers.

Our tour guide Jane and driver Alton were wondering. We learned so much from both of them. They were also very entertaining. We loved our swamp tour experience and Guide. His family lives and worked the bayou for generations and he shared so much with us. We saw PLENTY of gators, racoons, and wild pigs.
