Excellent City and Riverboat experience
This was a great experience. Our tour guide, Michelle was great! She really knew her stuff. The tour was around the city and she talked about the interesting history of the buildings and places. She slowed so we could take pictures. I definitely recommend this activity. We went on to the riverboat trip and it was interesting and worthwhile as well. We passed on the Sun city record tour and Graceland due to time constraints, but wish we’d been able to see them as well.

For sure- the best way to see Memphis
Great way to see Memphis. Our tour guide was an engaging story teller and talented vocalist. Great on guitar too! Everyone involved with this group was interesting and fun to interact with. I learned a lot about the culture and history of Memphis and had a lot of fun.

Memphis rap bus tour: riding through the city that helped built hip-hop
I didn't know what to expect when I climbed onto the bus. A rap tour of Memphis? I figured it'd be fun — but what I got was something way more powerful than I anticipated. This wasn't just a tour. It was a love letter to a city that the rest of the world has often overlooked, told through the streets, the stories, and the music that came out of them.
A few of the artists featured:
Yo Gotti
GloRilla
Young Dolph
Our guide, Taylor Nicole, set the tone immediately. She speaks about Memphis rap the way a proud hometown kid should — with knowledge, with heart, and without sugarcoating anything. As we rolled through Orange Mound, one of the oldest African American communities in the country, she connected the dots between the neighborhood's history and the music that grew out of it. You could feel the weight of that.
The music playing through the bus speakers while you're literally driving through the streets those artists rapped about — that's a different kind of listening experience. Hearing Young Dolph while rolling through the neighborhoods he called home was genuinely moving. Taylor Nicole's storytelling around him was the emotional high point of the tour for me. She didn't shy away from the reality of his story, and it made everything land harder.
"This tour doesn't just tell you about Memphis rap — it shows you where it came from, block by block."
Cruising through Castalia and Vollentine added more texture. Each neighborhood has its own identity, and Taylor Nicole did a great job drawing out what made each one distinct — culturally, musically, historically. By the time we wrapped up after 2.5 hours, I felt like I actually understood Memphis in a way I hadn't before.
Eye-opening is the only way I can describe it. Whether you're a die-hard Memphis rap fan or just someone curious about the city's culture, this tour is worth every minute. Taylor Nicole is the real deal, and this experience is one I'll be recommending to everyone.

Great tour of Memphis!
We really enjoyed our tour of Memphis with Michelle. She was knowledgeable and funny and kept things moving. We saw many sights around the city and she told many stories about characters of the past. We saw the ducks at the Peabody (she gave us tips on the best place to stand), saw Elvis’s wedding jacket at Lansky’s, and had time to walk down Beale St during the downtown portion of the tour. The information on Danny Thomas and the founding of St Jude’s and how it operates today was particularly interesting. We did the Sun Studio tour as well and it was outstanding! Highly recommend this tour!

Great overall historical...
Great overall historical perspective of Memphis. National Civil Rights Museum was astounding and very sobering. As a young child during the early 60’s, I was not aware of what all happened and did not learn this at school. Spent three hours there!! Would do again!!

Touring Memphis
We were only in Memphis for a few days and we were so grateful for this tour. John, our guide, and Calvin, our driver, were both fantastic. John was full of interesting stories and history about Memphis. It was great learn about the city and see so many important landmarks and spaces. His passion and love of Memphis was a highlight. He’s such a talented individual.

Best Memphis experience
My husband and I booked this guided brewery tour last minute, and it ended up being such a great experience. We were the only two on the tour, which made it feel very personal and relaxed. Brian was fantastic—he not only gave us an amazing brewery tour but also shared Memphis sightseeing highlights and the history of both Memphis and beer along the way. We also met some amazing people at each brewery who are true masters of their craft. I don’t normally care for beer, but I was genuinely impressed and ended up tasting beers I never would have tried otherwise. Overall, it was a fun, informative, and memorable experience. Highly recommend!

My Trip Memphis & Graceland!
I loved my tour of Memphis and Graceland. Brandon took me all over the downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods that I would not have seen with a large tour group. It was the perfect amount of alone time and tour guide time . . The extra information and personal walk through of the museums at Graceland was SO beneficial and informative! I am so glad I booked the tour i did. . He was an excellent guide who is very connected with music, Elvis, the industry and Memphis itself. I was very impressed!

Highly recommended.
This tour was a great introduction to Memphis which we did on the first day of our holiday. Started off with a tour of Memphis on the bus with a couple of stops to get off. This was good but people at the back of the bus had difficulty hearing because of the engine noise. Stopped for the taster BBQ which was lovely and was plenty to eat for a midday snack. We chose the entry to the Rock n Soul museum which was really interesting. We had plenty of time to look around before being picked up go to the Riverboat. The Riverboat was one of the highlights of our holiday. Lots of information given out over the speakers. They serve great affordable cocktails too!!!

Great Experience!
We visited Graceland last year and decided to come back again this year since there was still so much to see and do. We were told that this tour was a must-do and they were right. Bus was very comfortable watching great documentary on the way over, several stops at photo op locations! Loved the experience and highly recommend.
