Bikes were all in excellent condition. Instructions were clear and they didn't go out into the desert until they knew everyone could drive properly. The guides were brilliant, Harry especially made sure we had everything we needed for a safe and comfortable experience. You go fast!! - there's no holding back which was exactly what we wanted.

We were led by Harry and "new guy" Dave and they were both terrific. Even with the hot weather, our group stayed pretty comfortable and enjoyed the ride. No need to panic if you haven't ridden for years. Harry and Dave were professional and attentive.

Join this half-day guided ATV tour in Las Vegas to get away from the bright lights of the Strip, and explore the Mojave Desert. This is a group tour, so you might make a few new friends, too.

Make your way to the meeting point at a central location right on the Las Vegas Strip. You’ll easily meet your guide and group, then get shuttled to the staging area. Your guide will tell you about the area’s history along the way. You’ll have an orientation with your ATV that must be passed in order to ride your ATV. Also, riders must be 18 and older in order to drive their own ATV.

Once you’ve passed your orientation, you’ll hit the trail- a private trail not available to the public or other companies. Enjoy the picturesque mountain views as you ride through the desert terrain at the edge of the undeveloped Las Vegas Lake Mead Recreational Area.

My cousin and I didn’t have this planned. I saw an ad on instagram and decided to do something different. My first time ever riding an ATV. Jeremy our guide was SUPERFANTASTIC!!!!! He was extremely friendly and made the experience amazing! Even the ride to Arizona was enjoyable and very informative! He was very knowledgeable about the landmarks we saw on the drive and he added some fun n facts as well! Felt like family!!! On a scale 1-10 Jeremy was a 100!!!! I highly recommend this activity!!!

Harry the scorcher

Harry was a great tour guide ! Definitely be on time because he will be calling you ! Lol but overall had a great time

An amazing experience with Joe, but definitely arrive early!

David_M, Mar 2026
We had an amazing time on this ATV desert activity, and I definitely recommend booking it—especially if you get Joe as your guide! Joe is hilarious, entertaining, and highly knowledgeable. Most importantly, safety is his top priority. He thoroughly explained the rules and precautions, making it feel like a highly secure mission to Area 51! He also made sure we had everything we needed to stay cool in the extreme heat. (He absolutely deserves a great tip!). If you book this, you must arrive an hour early. The listing says 10:00 AM, but we actually missed our first attempt because we only arrived 20 minutes early. Joe needs a strict 30 minutes to get everyone registered and waivers signed. The whole excursion takes about 4 hours: a 1-hour drive out to the Mojave, 30 minutes of Polaris ATV training on-site, 30 minutes of actual riding time, and a 1-hour drive back. I initially wished the ride was 45 minutes, but honestly, in that desert heat, 30 minutes ends up being the perfect amount of time. The only real negative to point out is the shuttle van. It was old, cramped for 14 adults, not very clean, and the AC was incredibly weak. But once we got to the desert, the actual activity was fantastic.

Its a great experience. It was very hot but our instructors Harry and David were very helpful and thorough. Harry was very knowledgeable with his surroundings. I feel my experience would be different if I didnt have Harry

Awesomeness

Tom_H, Feb 2026
Amazing experience. If Harry is your tour guide, you will not be disappoint. If youre looking for a beginners ATV ride, this is for you. If youre looking for something fast paste, this isn't for you.

Disappointing

Tom_M, Feb 2026
I was excited about this ride due to the outstanding reviews. But unfortunately, this was a disappointing 4-wheeler ride for us. Our guide, Alex, was great but I'm sure he was limited to what his management team has directed him to do. This ride is ok for beginners who've never ridden before but not very satisfying for others. We stayed under 15mph going out to the turn-around point through mostly flat desert floor and washes. Stayed under 20mph on the way back. No challenges on this ride and nothing to break the humdrum monotony. The 4-wheelers were fairly new. Gloves and helmets were provided. There are much better rides available in the Vegas area. I would recommend to skip this one.

Awesome

Don_B, Jan 2026
Our tour guide (Kenny) awesome guy and tour guide, from getting in the van to the site which is a 1 hour ride, full of knowledge on subjects that nobody even knew. I would rate more stars but can only give 5 stars. Highly recommended.!!!

Koby did a great job of telling us about the history of Nevada, the trail was run and safe. Inwould recommend it.

Wonderful trip.

McKensy_P, Dec 2025
We had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Koby, was so helpful. We didn’t realize it was about an hour drive to the location, but that was great because the views were something we would have missed if we would have not taken this trip. Everything was great. Would look for a higher-level trip next time, in regards to terrain and speed, but we had zero experience coming into it so this was great and perfect.

Eric_H, Dec 2025
my experience was great , tour guided Elijah, had a great attitude and personality also very knowledgeable funny and easy to talk to

Tour itself was good. ...

Jennifer_H, Dec 2025
Tour itself was good. However, we were called the day before and asked if we would switch to another time. It was implied that if we didnt switch our tour would be canceled. But when we got to the pickup spot on the day of the tour we were then advised by our guide that there was another group who was shooting guns first and we would have to wait for them before we could do our tour we booked. We waited about 40 minutes at a convenience store place then to do our ATV tour. The tour guide was nice and apologized.

Birthday Fun

The tour guide Alex was awesome. It was a fun experience you’ll definitely get dirty. And the 4wheelers are auto. They still ripped pretty good good times

Lots of fun

Tiffany_B, Oct 2025
Kurt and Logan were great at instructing us how to ride the ATVs. On top of that, they were just genuinely happy to be with us and were great guides of Vegas and made us feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone!

Absolutely outstanding service & experience!!

Shona_W, Oct 2025
We thoroughly enjoyed our ATV experience. Kurt was our tour guide & he was absolutely fabulous, extremely helpful & friendly. Kurt went out his way to ensure everyone was accommodated & felt safe on the day. We had a large party with mixed abilities & experience, nothing was too much for him & Nate. Travelling too & from the destination was filled with awesome sights & equally awesome knowledge, Kurt was polite, courteous & really engaging. The tour spot & ATV were well looked after & extremely safe. I would highly recommend this excursion, Kurt as the tour lead & Nate as safety support. A huge thank you both for your patience & kindness. From Shona & family.

Good time had by all

Steve_B, Oct 2025
You should know it is going to be a enjoyable ride to see nature, not going to be a race to try and finish first, our guide Kurt was amazing and very knowledgeable, also very personable

Greatest Guides!

maureen_p, Oct 2025
Kurt and Elijah were so friendly kind to us. They were extremely helpful and respectful. Being older, I really appreciated that. They were also amazing guides on the way to the site, showing us all the cool things along the way. If you book, ask for them. They are the best!

Kenny ^ Kurt 2025

Mo_O, Oct 2025
We were not organized as a group to book together but we ended up together. Kenny & Kurt were very professional and very patient. They waited long enough for everyone to arrive but also within set time. As both of them are members of the military, that gave us extra confidence to ride with them. Kenny is also from Ohio so it was Buckeye all the way. They helped the first timers over and over again with no irritation. We enjoyed this very much. The terrain was dirt and gravel. There are others that is all sand and dust through and through. They added a little history on the drive out . Its a whole package. I would recommend bring your required gear if you can but they have them available with your package. Kurt helped with pictures and we loved his humor. Shout out to Kenny for driving us safely and being the best dj. We recommend.

Great tour and guide, pushy scheduler

Luis_G, Oct 2025
The tour and our guide were great. This tour is first-timer friendly, and it was an enjoyable experience. We met up at our pick-up spot, were picked up on time, and our guide, Casey, was friendly and knowledgeable. Along the way to our tour destination, she shared a lot of cool facts about different areas, and she expertly explained how to operate an ATV. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because whoever was scheduling our tour was pushy and tried multiple times to get us to agree to move our appointment forward. We made it very clear that we were not able to make an earlier appointment, and they tried to tell us that if not enough people signed up, they could not run the tour. I asked them to honor the time our tour was booked or provide a full refund. Apparently, two additional people signed up for the same tour, and we proceeded as planned. Mind you, we had a large group of 6 people, and they said they needed 8 to run the group. I did not appreciate being pressured to move our scheduled time up for the convenience of the tour company.

Markita_W, Oct 2025
Casey our guide was amazing. She gave us a history lesson on the ride to the Avts. When we got there she gave a great lesson to all the riders.

As fast and as fun as your slowest rider

Rachel_O, Oct 2025
My husband and I came to Las Vegas on our honeymoon and we’re looking for some outdoor activities to get off the strip. We were switched last minute to a different tour group and had to fill out lots of paperwork while waiting that seemed like it could’ve been done in advance. Depending on who is in your tour group will probably determine how much “thrillseeking” you get done on this activity as the slowest rider determines your speed. I am by no means a thrill seeker, nor is my husband, but going a little bit faster would have been pretty fun. I felt like we had plenty of instruction about the actual vehicle and the ride itself was pretty fun, but unfortunately, because it is a beginner course you can go pretty slow if the person at the front refuses to speed up with the rest of the group. The 25-year-old tour guides were pretty good and had a pretty nice sense of humor so I don’t blame them for keeping it safe for the rest of the riders. I just wish there was an opportunity on this tour to free roam slightly or go fast on a closed track.

Bait and switch

Michelle_M, Sep 2025
Same as the other 1-2 star reviews. Changed the trip from Mojave dessert to Nellie dunes and I was looking forward to the Mojave dessert. Noted the time I booked wasn’t available, but they never take the slots away. They book you and force you to change. Intentionally put the slow ppl in front so tour was very slow and boring. Only fun is when my rule breaker husband had enough and went to the front and insisted we pick up the pace and try to enjoy the last half of the tour. Trail was not private. Other tours were clearly in the area. You could see their tents and staging areas. We did appreciate the cooling towels, face masks, goggles and gloves provided.
