This was a fascinating tour to the DOMUS under the fountain. The archaeology was super interesting, and the water works were fascinating. By having an early appointment, I was able to finally access the Trevi fountain, as was my friend who was with me. She lives in Italy in Perugia and had never been there. It was an excellent tour and I would recommend it.

Loved this experience!! The tour guide walked us right up to the entrance and did a great job explaining what the security would be like entering the Vatican! 2 things to know that I did not realize: - you need to pick up your tickets across the street before you head to the Vatican. So pay attention to the bottom of your Viator confirmation pdf. It has the address. - The tour company tried to reach out to me on WhatsApp the day before and I did not see their messages, which would have been helpful. That said, this was an amazing trip! My teenage boys agreed!

Give yourself time to enjoy! Worth it

Absolutely amazing experience. The one negative part was only gave myself 1 hour to go through the exhibit. Give yourself closer to 2 hours if you really want to enjoy the palace. Other then that absolutely perfect, and getting priority entrance was 100% necessary

I like to include at least one hands-on experience during our trips since many of them tend to focus on museums and cathedrals. We’re certainly not children but this was very enjoyable for a retired couple, particularly my husband who is endlessly fascinated by how things work! Absolutely wonderful tour. Guide did a great job of showing us the secret areas of the palace along with the main areas and then the Duomo. She was knowledgeable and friendly. This made the tour so much more enjoyable. My 22 yr old daughter said it was the best tour of our Italy trip and it held the attention of my less interested 18 yr old Son. Worthwhile tour! Can’t remember the name of our guide but she was wonderfull

Great self-guided tour!

I checked the website and was not able to buy tickets for the day we wanted so I found this option on Viator instead. We received the tickets in advance and we walked right in and went to pickup the audio guide which was well worth having. We walked around at our own pace and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A great self-guided tour option

When I was unable to get a ticket to tour the Colosseum directly, I looked for alternatives and came across the self-guided tour from Eco-Tours, and I'm glad I did. Locating the representative to get my ticket was easy and being able to navigate the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum at my own pace and with the downloadable guide was great. For the Colosseum, I had a 9 AM ticket with Arena. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly. While there were definitely a lot more people there at that time than I hoped, it also got more crowded throughout my hour inside, so I would echo recommendations to book an early time. I also took their advice to start at the Palatine Hill entrance instead of the Roman Forum, which was nice because I got to avoid the crowds for that portion since most people enter at the Roman Forum following their Colosseum visit. I ended up spending about 3 hours in total, and had I not booked a tour for the Vatican City in the afternoon, I would've spent more time at Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum.
