Fabulous Trip

This was a great tour, our guide Guna was fantastic and explained everything very well along with keeping us informed as to what we need to do and what happens next. Guna was also a very good driver which made it comfortable. If I had to say something a little negative it would be that it was a little cramped, but we were in the very back ( 4 people across). We really enjoyed the trip and that was thanks to Guna being so informative. P.S. loved the Islandic favourite, 3- thank you for sharing Guna.

Great tour! The operator employs a marine biologist who was able to share information, help you understand where to look and what you were seeing! We were very lucky to see multiple humpbacks after a short journey and the captain stayed a respectful distance from the whales … and they came right up to the boat! Took a 20:30 tour.

We loved this tour. Great food and our guide was extremely entertaining. One drawback, as a pescatarian, there were wonderful options for me except for the hotdog. The hotdog stand has no alternatives for vegetarians, pescatarians or people who don’t eat pork.

Amazing waterfall! With a very cool hike half way up the waterfall! A must see when in Isafjordur! We were given plenty of time to explore and hike up the waterfall! The farm stop was cute and a nice break in the drive. Unfortunately it was raining at the time of our stop, but we made the best of it! The farm family was very welcoming providing warm beverages and delicious coffee cake. The highlight was the family parrot! Our tour guide Tom was outstanding! We loved his sense of humor, his many entertaining stories and historical & geologic information & insights. All in all, a great tour when in Isafjordur!

A Relaxing must do

Very nice lagoon. Love the infinity aspect. The 7 step ritual is well worth it though I couldn’t handle the cold plunge. It was more of a toe dip for me. I felt very comfortable without paying extra for privately dressing area. The showers are individual stalls. Everyone gets a good sized locker and as many towels as you want. Plenty of hair dryers. Bar drinks are pricey. Just be careful walking in the shower area as it’s easy to slip.

We were worried that 11 hours would be too long, but it was not. We had adequate stops to include bathroom breaks. Some of the tour stops required significant walking, but I believe most could be modified for people less mobile and still be enjoyed. Or driver/tour guide was Addi and he was very patient, knowledgeable and informative.

This was a fun and beautiful way to see a variety of sights in the region. Tota was an excellent guide, and was very clear and concise on timing and meeting locations for each stop to ensure we were able to get to all of the locations with enough time at each. She provided a wealth of information on the history and geography of the region and each landmark we saw along the way. The Strokkur Geyser was easy to walk to and beautiful. The Gullfoss waterfall was absolutely breathtaking and easy to access, as was the Thingvellir National Park, with the edges of the tectonic plates clearly visible along the walking trail.

This is a great experience. The guide is really good, Cave itself is very small but getting there and out of there gives you the F1 Road experience which you may not have in your itinerary, on the way back he stopped at a POI where its only vast expanse of black sand against the backdrop of green mountains. view to die for. Overall good value.
