What are people saying about Iceland

Absolutely amazing.
This was AMAZING. The suits are an experience in and of themselves, but kept us very dry and very buoyant. The water was unbelievably clear and Nail was incredible, especially with my mom. The time passed so fast, I could have kept going for much longer. I soaked up every moment I could exploring the lagoon after the Silfra. Unreal.

A delightful break from solo dining
This was a fantastic option for a solo diner. Instead of being overwhelmed by which restaurant to try or which dish to taste, I was able to share a table and try a broad variety of dishes (in a smaller or larger portions as I desired) well also learning the history of Icelandic food and culture. Locations varied from street food to elevated dining, and every last bite was delicious except may be the fermented shark? Lol Thor was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, kind, and had the best cat tattoo I’ve ever seen. I really enjoyed how he brought day to day activities on the street and from his life into the conversation. It really made Reykjavík come to life for me.

Earth & Water, Perfect together
Hiking underground in the largest lava tunnel in Iceland and dry suit snorkel-flying in the fissure between two continents-what could be better. Just an amazing experience beyond the norm. When they turn off the lights it is total blackness in the tunnel. Not hard hiking but captivating knowing you are surrounded by lava! There is just enough current in the fissure to make you feel you flying rather than snorkeling. If it wasn’t for the cold around your mask and hands you could easily forget. It reminded of tales of sunken Atlantis, huge blocks of stone laid on top of one another to make impenetrable walls on either side with a clear bright channel in between. Although the depth can be more than 90 feet, good luck getting a dry suit below the surface! I tried hard with zero luck. Loved both experiences, highly recommend each one!

If you do one thing in...
If you do one thing in Iceland, it should be this. Highest recommendation. Groups are limited to six people (I think that's Silfra's rules) which makes for a very personal experience. Our guide was so thorough and friendly. The photos he took were incredible. I had no experience snorkeling previously and should add, it's taxing on the body. The medical waiver they send is legit. Anyone can do it, but just know it's more than just floating there. If you do this, make sure to take a sip of the water! The best I've ever tasted.

You might have snorkeled in some beautiful locations, but there's nothing quite like the underwater landscape of Iceland. Iceland snorkeling tours let you marvel at geological beauty in clear glacial waters and swim between the tectonic plates that form the North American and European continents—in fact, it’s the only place in the world where this is possible. Some options include amazing underwater photos to remember your experience.
