Family Trip to Crab Island

Amazing trip to Crab Island with my wife to and two kids. 10 and 11. We saw Dolphins along the way and Captain even circled back to get us a better view. Once we arrived at Crab Island we anchored and had a great time. We used to floats, lily pad and stand up paddle board. We will definitely book again next time we’re in the area.

Great time with awesome hospitality

The building for this trip is green and if looking at Brutolo’s with the wharf behind you, it is to the right. There is a bathroom there. Brad and Mercedes were so fun and kind. They played a variety of music and really wanted to be sure everyone was having a nice time. They went out of their way bringing waters and helping tether rafts together. The water is clearer than a glass of water. I am 5’2” and I would say it was maybe waist high. Met some really fun people where we laughed. On the way back, Brad made sure we saw a couple dolphins and did some fun donuts!! Truly a fabulous day. Thank you Brad and Mercedes for your hospitality.

This was an amazing trip! There were so many dolphins to see. The Crew was awesome! They were so friendly and entertaining. They even danced with people on the boat when we were trolling into the harbor. They took pictures of all the families at sunset. We had an absolutely incredible time at Crab Island, and a huge part of that was thanks to Captain Diego! From start to finish, he made sure everything was perfect. He was professional and had a great energy that kept the vibes high all day. He really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a blast. If you’re heading out to Crab Island, do yourself a favor and ask for Diego. We couldn't have asked for a better captain to lead our day on the water!

Nice Ride / Pretty Sunset / Definitely Dolphins!

Sol y Luna is a fairly large sized pontoon boat with upper & lower decks; Capacity is about 100 but seating not available for 100; Has a couple tiny lavatories in case you gotta go during the approx 100 minute ride; Very clean vessel that seems new (or recently renovated); 3 crew members (super-pleasant; helpful); No refreshments available on-board from the tour company (bring you own water/snacks); Family-friendly for sure; Be aware that when the breeze hits you as and after the sun sets, it gets chilly so bring a sweatshirt/jacket; During the initial cruise out into the bay, not seeing any dolphins reminded me of a Hawaii visit where I saw no turtles during sea turtle season, and an Iceland visit where I saw no northern lights on any of the 7 nights I was there, but alas, tally-ho!, after our boat got way out into the bay before sunset, we saw plenty of sightings of bottlenose dolphins break the water’s surface on this Apil-01-2026 tour. Including two “baby” dolphins! The boat captain was quite skilled & knowledgeable about maneuvering as close as the dolphins would allow. Note that the bay water floor is dark even in the very shallow areas, so you cannot see anything swimming below the surface (all looks fairly black/dark), only the dorsal fin, and when the dolphin body pops out for their typical curl dive. Difficult to get pics of the dolphin action, but easy to get great pics of the sunset and the moon. Very smooth/calm ride, with a great music playlist on a decent boat-equipped sound system. Tipping is expected, as is for most tour services. All-in-all, this was a worthwhile boat ride / sighting tour.

Awesome Tour Experience

We had an amazing time on our Crab Island boat tour! Delaney and Delta were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and made the entire experience feel so fun and relaxing. They went above and beyond by providing fun water toys and activities for everyone to enjoy. What truly stood out was how much care they showed my 9-year-old. They made sure he had the best time, and it turned into an experience he will never forget. That meant everything to me as a parent. Better than expected!

Didn’t know what to expect as it was our first sunset dolphin cruise. Dawson and his deck hand (Patrick I think ) were awesome. Despite having a bit of a Debbie downer crowd of about 45 people they were hilarious, got on the dolphins right away and gave us a great tour of the area. I highly recommend sitting up front if possible for the best views. The sunset was incredible and they took pictures for everyone that wanted one. Highly recommend!

Fun July Day

Great Experience. Our captain was willing to not only take us to Crab Island but also gave us the option to split our time sightseeing. Very considerate, kind, and laid back. The boat was spacious and came with everything as described. Beautiful day. We experienced a morning season, which was still hot in mid-July; we would recommend the morning over the afternoon. Tons of jellyfish, crabs, and fish to see. This was a highlight of our visit. The time flew by, and tons of food, drink, and snack vendors were on the water with plenty of options. Will very likely rebook on our next visit.
