Itinerary

Meet your guides at Yosemite Lodge the morning of your hike. Hop aboard a 1-hour shuttle ride to Glacier Point and enjoy narration about the famous national park along the way.

Soak up views of iconic landmarks including Cloud’s Rest and Half Dome upon arriving at Glacier Point. Begin your hike here, passing three scenic waterfalls: Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, and Yosemite Falls. Snap as many pictures as you'd like while your guides discuss the historical significance of the vista.

Afterward, begin the descent along a stunning 8.5-mile (13.7-km) route. Trek down an impressive 3,179 feet (969 meters) in elevation, pausing to refuel and enjoy the view from the top of Illilouette Fall.

Tackle the moderately strenuous section of switchbacks for the next mile or so, ascending back up 300 feet (91 meters). Afterward, you’ll be rewarded with a flat, beautiful stretch toward the Panorama Trail, which faithful to its name, offers gorgeous views throughout the valley. Continue back downhill to reach the top of Nevada Fall, where you’ll pause for lunch.

After satisfying your appetite, follow your guides on one of two trails. For a slightly shorter route, head down the granite staircases of the Mist Trail, which runs alongside the Merced River and the waters of Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall. For higher vantage points, opt for the less strenuous trek down the John Muir Trail, enjoying views of Half Dome, Vernal, and Nevada Falls and the granite dome of Liberty Cap.

Both trails lead to restrooms at the bottom of Vernal Fall. After a brief downhill hike to Happy Isles, your tour will conclude with a shuttle back to Yosemite Lodge.

If you’re looking for a guided hike...pick Lasting Adventures! Our full day hike all through Yosemite was incredible. Janna our guide was a 5 Star! Knowledgeable, professional, helpful and courteous.
