We had never used a self-guided audio tour but we purchased this one for Yosemite and another one for the time we spent at Lake Tahoe. The voice was the same for both and we LOVED IT!
The narrator was great and funny! He always knew exactly where we were and guided us expertly around Lake Tahoe and Yosemite!
We would 100% recommend these audio tours to everyone!!

This was a wonderful way to start our Yosemite adventure. It helped to become familiar with the park. Loved the small group bus. We had a great group of people.Our guide, Phil was extremely knowledgeable about the area. He was fun, courteous, and very accommodating. Phil gave us the extra little bits of information that we were hoping to receive on this tour. He pointed out areas for us to explore later. Phil gave us some restaurant suggestions for dinner. We had a wonderful 9 hr day. Thank you Phil!

I highly recommend this self-guided tour. If you are staying in the area for a few days, the app will start the tour wherever you are. It tells you in advance what is coming up, so you can look for a place to stop. Very interesting information about the different areas.

The guide was entertaining and incredibly informative. We only had two days in Yosemite and he helped guide us through the park so that we got the most out of our time. The guide was so easy to use and was very informative. I don’t think our trip would’ve been as successful. Had we not downloaded this app.

Downloaded the information fine on my phone. But could not get information to come up while driving due to low cell phone signal in the park.

The tour is valid forever so that you can retry anytime. Could you let us know if it stops working at any specific location? If you need help, we’re just a call or chat away daily from 9 AM to 6 PM EST. And if you’ve already left the area, we can offer a replacement tour for a different location so you don’t miss out.

We always recommend downloading your tour beforehand, especially since some areas, like Yosemite, may have limited or no cell phone reception, and the download process requires a stable and reliable network connection. As we are not affiliated with the park, the rangers may not be able to assist with our tour, but our support team is available every day by phone, email, and online chat. Our audio guide who we named Harold provided lots of details about the park and the history of the area. He’s voice was enjoyable to listen to. The narrative included some dry humor which we thoroughly enjoyed. The audio side of this “GuideAlong” app was very well done. Hoping that in the future an Apple/Andriod car play capability can be added.

This is an amazing app. The recorded tour was interesting, accurate and each stop was a perfect location to experience the beauty of Yosemite. I will never jump into a crowded bus with loads of people trying to navigate through a large vehicle in a location like Yosemite.

A great app for our first Yosemite trip! Interesting history, good hike recommendations and useful directions. For someone who is a trip planner of the group but doesn't want to have to be responsible for entertaining everyone on the drive this was a very helpful choice. The guide would point something interesting out up ahead and people in the car could just say, that sounds interesting, let's go do that, and Viola! I didn't have to pitch any hikes or activities, bore anyone with details or remember what was coming up next.

This was our first trip to Yosemite and we were extremely happy with the self-guided tour. We downloaded it in advance, as instructed, and just hit the play button when we entered the park. The tour guide gave great advice on the “must-see” attractions and great information about the history, geology, etc. I loved that the app could detect exactly where we were within the park and give us info about upcoming attractions so we could decide which way to proceed. The guide also had a great voice for the job and was very entertaining.
We had initially considered an 8-hour small group tour for $250 per person, but ultimately decided on this $20 self-guided tour so we could be in control of our time. That was the best decision we could have made!
