There are walking tours and there are bus tours, but this unique Segway tour provides an entirely new perspective on the city of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Riding on a Segway isn’t difficult, but it’s important to know how to maneuver one, especially gliding around a city like St. Petersburg. So this tour begins at the Tampa Bay seawall at North Straub Park with a brief but thorough training session to make sure everyone feels comfortable and knowledgeable about their Segway. Additionally, all passengers must weight between 100 and 300 pounds to participate. A helmet and safety equipment, plus bottled water and an audio headset are provided.
With the training out of the way, it’s time to hit the open road.
On this Segway tour around St. Petersburg, cruise through the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum, where there are more than 500 palms and cycads representing some 150 species from around the world. Stop along the bay to learn about and watch manatees in their natural habitat.
Visit the Sunken Gardens, a botanical paradise in the midst of the hustle of the city and St. Petersburg's oldest living museum. This four-acre, 100-year-old garden is home to some of the oldest tropical plants in the region—over 500 species of tropical and subtropical plants amidst pools and cascading waterfalls. There are more than 50,000 tropical plants and flowers in all.
Finally, return to North Straub Park to conclude the tour.

This is a must do!! Doo was an amazing guide. She was so informative, helpful, patient and pleasant.
She took the time to make sure we felt comfortable operating the Segway and made sure we saw everything
The sunken gardens was wonderful and she really made it interesting with her knowledge of the history and plants.
St Pete’s pier was a great place to visit with free trans and buses

We booked our very first Segway ride with Louisa as part of our 40th wedding anniversary celebration. She is a very good Segway instructor and very safety conscious, so don't be afraid to give her tour a try.
Louisa is extremely knowledgeable of the St. Pete area and the Sunken Gardens. She explains the history, sites, flora and fauna exceedingly well! She provides plenty of time for Q&A and pictures. She is very personable and professional. We highly recommend this fun and informative way to see St. Pete.

We took about grown grandkids on this amazing Segway tour! Louisa is best tour guide of any Segway we've been on! And we've been on several. She's very informative of area we covered, history of St Pete and Sunken Gardens! By the way sunken Gardens were beautiful and amazing too! Highly recommend Doo's Segway over others in the area. Segway newer and easier to handle. Fun way to tour St Pete!

Doo was great! We had the best time! A couple of us had ridden a Segway before, but for those who hadn't, she went through a training session and everyone felt comfortable and safe. She is very patient and it was the most fun!!

We have previously experienced more than seven Segway tours in Tampa, St Pete and the Caribbean. This was absolutely the best one ever! Louisa was extremely knowledgeable, patient and informative throughout the tour. We traveled about 12 miles from one end of St Pete to the other. A true highlight was visiting Sunken Gardens which is included in the tour. Louisa really took special care of us and let us linger as long as we wanted in the gardens. She was the perfect host and guardian! Highly recommend!

We loved our Segway historic tour with Doo. She was soooo knowledgeable, fun and showed us all the great spots. She helped us to see the dolphins and got the birds to dance in the sunken gardens. She took lots of pics for us and we had an excellent time. Highly recommend this tour.

This was the best excursion ever! Doo was so knowledgeable, upbeat and fun. You have to do this tour, you will be taken all over the area and the Sunken Garden was just beautiful! A good 2 hours + great segways and great guide!!
