Overview
While in Treasure Island, see the beautiful area without getting caught in the crowds on land. This Treasure Island Sailing Experience lets you go on a small-group cruise around either the Gulf of Mexico or Boca Ciega Bay. You can bring your own drinks as a cooler is provided for cruiser goers to use, or you can enjoy the included soda and bottled water.

It was a great day to be out on the water. We saw dolphins at play, a parasailor, and lots of other boats and water toys out there, but it was lovely when we got out away from the majority of others, with just the sounds of the water and the sails flapping. Captains Mike and Shane were informative, fun, and constantly aware of the shifting needs of the schooner, immediately adjusting sails and steering when necessary. Definitely recommend and would love to go out again if we're ever in this area again!

Mike the captain was awesome. Plenty of water aboard but otherwise BYOB. Sights were amazing. Crew was knowledgeable and professional.

Super cute little shop where you can purchase all the things you may have forgotten - like sunglasses or sunscreen. Sailboat was beautiful and the crew knew how to be friendly and not intrusive. Great tunes playing the entire time. Our trip had lots of wind and high waves, which is great for us and the crew. Fun time sailing in Florida.

Our shop, The BoatDega, is certainly fun and has all of the last minute necessities including beer, wine, sodas, and apparel as well. It was amazing, fun, and peaceful! Ritchie and Mike were our crew and they are super cool! Honestly, the best cruise we’ve been on. I originally picked this because it is a schooner and I knew my husband would love it, and he did! Getting out on the water and letting the breeze take us where it wanted was a unique experience for us. We also saw a few dolphins which was just an extra perk. If you’re considering this type of cruise, do it. You won’t regret it!

Captain Richie was very knowledgeable and friendly! He made it a great experience for everyone. We had a lot of fog in some areas, but he diverted to other parts of the island to keep us safe all while having a good time in the sunshine!

Sleepy sailing experience. Very little explanation on sights and didn’t feel much wake. There are probably better sailing cruises in Tampa Bay.

All of our Captains and Crew have an infectious passion about the waters we sail and call home and we love to share that with our Guests when appropriate as to not interrupt your conversations with your party. As we explained at boarding, conditions in the Gulf of Mexico were pretty treacherous so we did stay in the much calmer waters of Boca Ciega Bay for your safety and the safety of the others aboard. Unfortunately, as I explained during your trip and over the phone, it takes about 4 hours each way to transit to Tampa Bay proper from our location in Treasure Island. My apologies for missing the mark with you and your group. We would love to have you aboard again in the future!-Richie

Awesome sail! We totally enjoyed this beautiful sailboat. . We enjoyed our sail with 2 other people, who shared their Prosecco and charcuterie. The crew made us feel so welcome and shared many stories and important facts about the are area. A family of dolphins scampered around the boat several times. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. It’s a small sailboat, seats about 20 people, which makes for a cozy atmosphere. Excellent views! Can’t wait to come back.
