Lucky was great at orienting us to the market and giving us the best little samples. He was knowledgeable, personable and timely. 20/10 recommend.

This tour was WELL worth the time and money! It was a great way to experience an otherwise crowded and confusing market. Woody was an amazing guide- he was kind, funny, and full of recommendations & knowledge. All the bites along the way were delicious! You will not leave hungry! I cannot recommend this tour enough; I would easily do this again if I were in Seattle.

We had a great time with our tour guide, Woody. He incorporated Seattle architectural history with history of the city and its food scene, which we appreciated. We also liked that the tour was split between savory and sweet foods.

Such a fantastic tour with Lucky! His historical knowledge of the market was awesome, and the extra little facts that he knew made the tour super interesting. And our samples were delicious. I love this Tour so much. Thank you you Lucky!!

So much fun! Definitely come hungry like they say, because I had breakfast a little too close to the tour and there was SO MUCH FOOD! The market is huge and honestly can be a little overwhelming, so taking this tour and getting a little sample from a bunch of different places places was the perfect experience. Our guide Lucky did a phenomenal job and my favorite stop was Hellenika for cultured gelato 😋

Great introduction to the market with lots of yummy tastings.. you’ll also learn a bit about the history of the market

This is not a food tour. It is a very informative, historical tour of Pike Place Market that also has a few very small samples of decent food. It is not meal worth of food. And I didn’t get the sense that any of the food was from places considered to be Seattle “staples.” You get to see the throwing of the fish. There is some good historical info about the Market, its origins, its role in the city over time, how it is managed, and other interesting tidbits. Lucky is obviously very knowledgeable.
The tour moves very fast with almost no time to explore or shop the places you see. I guess it’s a good primer if you want some guidance on where to start your own adventures when you go back on your own time. But it is not “behind the scenes” or insider info. You could just google the history and some key spots and wander on your own and probably actually see more. And it certainly is not about the food.
If you want to follow behind someone who knows what they’re talking about, have at it. For my money, I’d recommend doing 20 minutes of your own research and going to the places you want to go to and at your own pace. Overall, I would not recommend this tour if you’re looking for a foodie type experience.

Lucky was a great tour guide. He obviously loved Pikes Place community and shared his love of the community and food. It was a diverse mix of tasting that was quite good.

We had a great time with Lucky (aka David) as our tour guide. He enabled us to experience the flying fish at Pike Place fish market among other things.

Excellent experience and a great way to learn and understand the market’s history. It’s fast-paced, but good. The food tasting is plus as it gives you ideas of where to return to during your Seattle visit. Lucky was knowledgeable and very personable. He does a great job with including kids in the tour group.

Although we had been to Pike Place Market a number of times before, we recently took this tour and greatly enjoyed it! We would definitely recommend it to others, as we learned a lot about the history of Pike Place Market and Seattle in general. Our tour guide David, also known as "Lucky," was extremely knowledgeable and provided entertaining stories about the colorful past and current status of Pike Place Market, its diversity, as well as very tasty samples of its food and drinks! We had a wonderful time!

Had a great time. It's a lot of walking. Go on an empty stomach. You won't leave hungry. The guide is extremely informative and very responsive to any questions. I would do another tour with him if I ever come back to Seattle.

Turned a confusing market place into a story of history, depth of knowledge, delicious tastes, personalized responses, ultimately a place where we could navigate and return to . Our guide “Lucky” made it an unforgettable experience.

A great experience for early birds to see the market and learn about the history of the market before the crowds arrive. Bob is an awesome guide and we enjoyed our first visit to the market. The samples of food filled our tummies until lunchtime later in the afternoon.

Wife and I had a great tour with Lucky. He showed us all around Pike Place Market. We got to sample all sorts of great food. He also ensured that we knew our way around so we could explore more after the tour. Definitely recommend the tour. You can't get the level of history and details of the market on your own. Take the tour with Lucky!
Amanda_V, Nov 2025
They should take this tour as soon as they get to Downtown Seattle. It was helpful in orienting us to where everything is located. That made the day very pleasant.

Really enjoyed this early AM market tour. Starting off before the market gets really crowded makes a big difference. Our guide Lucky was excellent - very knowledgeable, friendly, and full of suggestions for post-tour shopping and eating. Highly recommended!

Bob, our tour guide, was so much fun and incredibly knowledgeable! It was a great way to experience Seattle while learning a bit about its history. All of the free tastings included in the tour were absolutely delicious — such a great experience overall!!

Chip was our guide and he did a fabulous job explaining not only the history of the Market but also of many of the vendors we visited including anecdotal stories. He had personal relationships with the vendors and that was helpful for members of the tour group who had specific questions about the food or processes we were sampling. The food was fantastic and a nice variety throughout our two hours. We were not hungry for lunch! We did go back to some of the vendors to buy products we had sampled. Highly recommend this tour!
Kimberly_P, Sep 2025
This tour exceeded our expectations! Lucky was our tour guide. He was not only very knowledgeable about the market but also about so many other things. We had several tastings, got lots of history, and met a few of the vendors. Great tour! I highly recommend it.
