Wife and I had a great tour with Lucky. He showed us all around Pike Place Market. We got to sample all sorts of great food. He also ensured that we knew our way around so we could explore more after the tour. Definitely recommend the tour. You can't get the level of history and details of the market on your own. Take the tour with Lucky!

They should take this tour as soon as they get to Downtown Seattle. It was helpful in orienting us to where everything is located. That made the day very pleasant.

Lucky was an amazing, very knowledgeable guide. Loved the history of the market Interesting food tasting spots

The tour was incredible. We lived in Seattle for several years and frequently visited Pike Place Market. We learned so much more about the Market and all the tastings were amazing! I would recommend this tour to everyone including locals. Also, our tour guide “Lucky” was great!

Really enjoyed this early AM market tour. Starting off before the market gets really crowded makes a big difference. Our guide Lucky was excellent - very knowledgeable, friendly, and full of suggestions for post-tour shopping and eating. Highly recommended!

Bob, our tour guide, was so much fun and incredibly knowledgeable! It was a great way to experience Seattle while learning a bit about its history. All of the free tastings included in the tour were absolutely delicious — such a great experience overall!!

Chip was our guide and he did a fabulous job explaining not only the history of the Market but also of many of the vendors we visited including anecdotal stories. He had personal relationships with the vendors and that was helpful for members of the tour group who had specific questions about the food or processes we were sampling. The food was fantastic and a nice variety throughout our two hours. We were not hungry for lunch! We did go back to some of the vendors to buy products we had sampled. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour exceeded our expectations! Lucky was our tour guide. He was not only very knowledgeable about the market but also about so many other things. We had several tastings, got lots of history, and met a few of the vendors. Great tour! I highly recommend it.

This was a great experience. Our tour host was named Lucky. We had a great time exploring and learning about Pike Place Market. We were given multiple samples from participating businesses. It was lots of fun. Highly recommend.

Ask for "Lucky" to be your guide. He is excellent and very informative. This was the best tour that we took while in Seattle.

Come ready to eat! The walking we did was at an easy pace with lots of stops to see, smell and taste the area. Our guide brought out the local setting of the market combined with the backdrop of the city and Pacific Northwest region to understand the history of the market. Also very knowledgable about the stores, and the people who make up the market, and he greeted everyone by name and all knew him by name as well. Great experience overall. Way beyond our expectations for the tour. A must do as a first approach to the market.

Our guide seemed to be on Adderall and was usually talking to no one in front of us when walking which was very brisk. By the end people had wandered off and we were going to do the same but we were too close to the end.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hi Nick - sorry you had a negative experience. We take customer feedback seriously and would love to follow up with you, please email us at info@showmeseattle.com.

Had an awesome tour with Lucky on Thursday! He was so knowledgeable about the market and history, I learned so much! Being there in the morning was awesome as it wasn't busy yet and vendors were just setting up for the day, it was a really cool time to be in the market. Highly recommend this tour!! Thank you Lucky for a great start to my day in Seattle :)

My partner and our family are first timers visiting Seattle and we couldn’t recommend the tour more! Our tour guide Chip was absolutely incredible! He was so knowledgeable on the history of the market and the food tastings were delicious. So worth it! Big shout out to Chip!
Kira_M, Sep 2025
The tour is a great way to get yourself familiar with the market and the history. You then are able to orientate yourself and enjoy the rest of the day. Lucky was an excellent guide, very educated, and knowledgeable. Cannot recommend him enough.
Mike_W, Sep 2025
Chip was excellent told us all the history of each location. Was will prepared for tourist who allergies and prepared with little bags for us to bring our food with us if we didn’t finish it. What a way to learn the history of the pier. How everyone helps each other. The food is fabulous. We will need to come back. Fish throw was off since it was Labor Day. This is one tour we would take again.
Chip also kept informed on where to meet and kept the pace of walking to everyone’s level.
Also show us interesting location to visit after the tour.
Jacqueline_N, Sep 2025
Lucky was our tour guide. He has a wealth of knowledge about Pike Place and the surrounding neighborhood. The food was good too!
Melanie_W, Aug 2025
Wonderful walking history tour of Pike Place Market. Several delicious samples from local vendors. Jerry provided a plethora of information about Seattle. Would highly recommend this tour.
Zory_M, Aug 2025
Bring water or beverages you would like to enjoy with food samples. Most of the samples are served on it own and you need a drink with it to enjoy
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Zory - yes, that is always a good idea! The tour details are supposed to include a reminder to bring a water bottle, or if you don't have one water is available for purchase during the tour. Apologies if that wasn't clear! Hope you enjoyed the tour :-)
Paul_W, Aug 2025
Lucky was a great guide gave us interesting information on both the history of the market and Seattle itself. Don't eat beforehand because the samples were great and enough for a meal.
Gina_B, Aug 2025
Good history of the Market. Easy walking and gives insight about the market. Cant shop but take note of areas so you can go back.
Julie_S, Aug 2025
Pike Place Market gets very busy so the early tour is ideal. Great variety of samples. Nice stories. Lucky was a well informed tour guide.
Cynthia_P, Aug 2025
It really wasn’t about the food. It was more of a history tour and that is not what we were looking for. He was great just expected something else.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Cynthia - sorry the tour didn't meet expectations! We try to make clear in our description the amount of food, and that this is a 'tasting' tour with history of the market. We understand if you expected it to be more food focused, but that isn't what we do. Thanks for the kind word about the guide, though, and thanks for the feedback!
James_B, Aug 2025
We arrived at the Fish market 45 minutes before the tour. However, there were no instructions as to where to park. Online, it stated there was valet parking. There was no valet parking. It took us 20 minutes to find parking. When we got to the fish market and asked at the information desk where the meeting place was, we found out that we needed to take the elevator from floor 6 to ground and then walk 3 blocks to the meeting location. We arrived 9 minutes late and the tour had already left. We have used Viator for years, and this was the first time we have had issues.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi James - so sorry you had a bad experience. Since you were unable to join the tour due to bad info from Viator, they should refund you immediately. Email us directly at info@showmeseattle.com and we will follow up for you, if you like. And please share with us where you saw online a mention of 'valet parking' at the Market; there is no valet parking at the Pike Place Market, so we would be interested to see where you saw that - that is false information. There is a public parking garage at the North End of the Market, which is just a short walk to the meeting point for our tour. You should have received clear instructions provided by us in your Viator confirmation about the location of the meeting place, but just a reminder that Viator is not the tour operator, but a reseller. So sorry if you received bad information but it did not come from us, Show Me Seattle Tours.
Rose_K, Aug 2025
Chip our tour guide was very knowledgeable, patient, and personable. The choice of stops at the Market were absolutely perfect as they were close to each other and didn’t require you walking up and down lots of hills. The tastings on this tour were just the right about to fill us up as we didn’t eat breakfast and came hungry. I it was a good variety of tastings from breakfast to taco and Indian food as well as some smoked fish, plus more. I highly recommend taking a bottled beverage with you on the tour. This is a food tour and not a shopping or photo stop tour. If you enjoyed the spots visited you can always go back in your own time to revisit and shop.
Kristen_C, Aug 2025
Bobs was great. Enjoyed learning about the market. Food was yummy, especially the gelato and cookie.
Max_E, Aug 2025
Great time. Lots of tasty samples, Woody, our guide, was knowledgeable and enthusiastically committed to local producers The morning hours mean market was less crowded than midday or afternoon.
