Taking teenage granddaughters on adventures can sometimes be challenging! We chose the night time kayaking because we had never attempted anything at night! What a marvelous idea!
Dan, our guide was wonderful! He was patient and very knowledgeable! Our girls were so caught up in the experience I never heard one word of
complaint! They loved catching the sea slug, needlefish and hermit crabs. Dan made the entire trip exciting and fun for everyone! I would highly recommend.

Cory is a very friendly knowledgeable guide that takes great care of you. Had a great experience learning about and spotting maritime wildlife.
We did this adventure the evening of the 17th. We were originally scheduled for the Sarasota location at 9:30 but due to weather we were moved to the Siesta Key launch site.
Communication and directions were fantastic and made it very easy to navigate to the proper place. On arrival our guides, Travis and John were friendly and helpful, getting us acquainted with the trip and the equipment.
We launched right on time and it was a new experience setting out in a small craft on a large body of water in the dark. But so exciting! The tide wasn’t cooperating very well and we hit a few unexpected sandbars but that just added to the fun. Being over 100 yards off shore and climbing out of the kayak into water just over your ankles is very interesting, to say the least.
Travis and John were fantastic guides and kept up a steady stream of information about the area and potential sightings. We would definitely love to take the trip again with these two. We kept having small needle fish jump in the boat with us (a real adventure to get them out!) and on the return trip I was “assaulted” by a large mullet jumping out of the water, hitting my arm, and ending up in the back of the kayak. Travis had a real time getting that one caught and released!
This is an adventure that we would definitely repeat when we return to the area. Thanks Travis and John for a memorable trip.
Toar guide was fun we had some laughs as we were canoeing thru the night finding crabs and other creatures in the night. Guide gave us a bit of an educational experience as well gave us some history of the place and gave us information on what we caught. Fun little adventure.
First time kayaking at night. The water was never deep. Kayaks lights were pretty in the dark. You get to see the building lights from Sarasota. Each person had a net to catch things from water. After the trip the guide went over what was caught and you learn about sea critters.
We are locals and took our 17 year old foreign exchange student from Italy. Our daughter is 10. Our entire family enjoyed the tour so much. The guides were friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and so helpful. We've lived here 20 years and had never done something like this. It was a wonderful way to see the city and nature. We took the 8 pm tour, which was perfect because we were able to catch the sunset before launching. Also, for our student who isn't familiar with kayaking, it allowed her to get comfortable before leaving in the dark. We learned so much and got to see so much sea life up close! Thank you so much!
Got to the location 15 mins prior and 10 mins before it’s supposed to start they sent a text saying it’s canceled!!
The tour guides give you an immersive experience beyond enjoying the beautiful scenery. We learned alot about the different fish, crustaceans and local ecosystems! As a local I' looking foward to booking with Corey and Lilah again
In this experience you will be going out at night to kayak in shallow waters and look at underwater sea-life and use nets to catch and release what you find. We were able to see a needlefish, starfish, seahorse, variety of fish and a small shark (we did not attempt to catch the shark). Our crew, Corey and Macie, were helpful.
Cory was amazing on our 9:30pm night tour. He made sure to interact with everyone and his personality was great! He helped us find huge shells and was very knowledgeable about the things we found. We even caught a blue crab and he took photos of us so we could have memories. If you’re nervous because you don’t know how to kayak don’t worry this was a first for us and it was super easy and his directions were helpful. I would definitely book this again!
Very fun and unique adventure! Beautiful night-time skyline of Sarasota and the LED lights with clear bottom kayaks made for an overall great experience. We saw dolphins and a few of our guests even netted some marine life! Our guides/hosts, Cory and his daughter Lilah, were so much fun, knowledgable and down to earth! Loved chatting with them both - they made us feel like family! Tammy and I were celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary and they made sure everyone knew about it! I give Cory and Lilah 5 stars for sure! This is a super-fun, safe experience and I would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a special time together! Can't wait to do it again next year!
This is a fun adventurous experience for any age while being in Sarasota. So much to see, take in the beautiful evening lights and sights along the Bay.

We had a great experience! Very organized and fun. Joe was so knowledgeable and it was fun to use the small nets and sift through the grass in the water. I caught a handful of things I was not even expecting to see! Pongo’s company was definitely a plus! 🐶
We were able to collect a starfish, different crabs, shrimp, pike fish and a few other things among our trip. We did not get to see the sunset, but overall it was a great experience.
I would recommend this tour. It was very relaxing with a beautiful view of the city and bridge. The tour guides made sure we were safe and informed about the life in the sea. We enjoyed our time very much.
Corey and Olivia are superb tour guides. They showed us where to go and how to pick up specimens. They had a great selection of animals from the estuary to show us and let us hold, which was very exciting for me - I held everything!! We appreciated the information about the animals and the importance and history of the estuary. We highly recommend this activity.
We are beginning kayakers and really did not know how to handle,/use the paddles leading toore adventures?An FYI for people going on the trip. Definitely get there early. Put bug spray on for no-see-ums when you are on the beach. No bugs once you are in the water. We are about 70 yrs old. Seats have no cushioning so you will get sore.
Great time for families of all ages. Patient and helpful with individuals with disabilities. Dan and John were great guides. Definitely recommend!!!
We visited from WI, and enjoyed the tour. We did not get to see manatees, but the views and calmness of the waters were worth it. I appreciated the educational pieces and the collective sea creature exhibit at the end. My husband had a blast with the net and trying to find all the fun living creatures down below.

The overall experience was fantastic. From the booking, communication prior to arrival, to being on the water, the staff were great. Our trip was originally scheduled for 8:00 PM, but due to severe weather, we were moved to 9:30 PM. The crew communicated in advance and were very accommodating. Definitely a must do!
The tour was incredible and very educational with lots and laughs. Olivia, Kevin and Dan were amazing and very interactive! We had the best time!
Fun experience with knowledgeable guides. Kevin, Ed and Jed were very personable and led us through the mangroves with lots of interesting history about the area.

I was given a different address than the original location. I put it in my gps. Went to the location my gps took me too. Unfortunately I was at the wrong end of the bridge. No problem I missed my time slot. He said I could take the 9:30 tour!! Ok no problem! I then received a text . Which said! “Now that you've lied 9:30 it's not available you are a no-show and we're sending that to viator” I don’t know this man and he does not know me. How dare you call me a liar!!!

I'm sorry. You were given an address, you drove to it, and you ended up at the wrong end of the bridge. That's a problem with our instructions, not with you. It was fun once we learned how to paddle. A little frustrating at first though. Definitely something a first time kayaking person can do. Others in the group found crabs, shrimp, conch and other sea life. Everything was brought back to shore so the group could see.
Cory and Autumn we wonderful. They were very experienced and knowledgeable of the area and specific things you may see on your trip.
Not worth the money. Barely saw any wildlife and didn’t go very far away from parking lot. Only went through small mangrove.

Thank you for the feedback. The tour is deliberately close in. The seagrass near the launch is where the sea life is, so distance isn't the goal, but if that wasn't clear when you booked, that's on our description and not on you. Sorry it fell flat. - Carl, Fun Florida Tours
It was such a cool experience! since I had never done it before i was nervous but the guides John, Lorelei and Kevin were amazing!!! they made everything so great! 10/10 do recommend and will do again! I chose the 8 o clock time and it was nice how I got some light and then half it got dark so it was very cool with the LED lights.
It was wonderful and our guides were fantastic. I would definitely recommend doing this if your wanting a different experience
Great experience. We live local and came with some out of town friends. Super great staff! A lot of fun. Wish it was longer!
