Alfred was an excellent guide. It was evident from the get go he loves his city and wants to show it off. He was born here and is not afraid c to brag and give you all the history from the Alamo to the River Walk. Highly recommend this tour.
Donato_M, Jul 2026
Matt was great, very knowledgeable and very passionate about the history of San Antonio. Was knowledgeable of both ancient and modern history.

Overall, the tour was very informative. Joseph knows a lot about the history of the city. The only constructive feedback I would give is that at times he tended to go on longer than necessary on different points and veering off the true historical aspects of the tour.

Matt was a terrific tour guide! Covered a significant amount of history, architecture, tidbits, oddities, how the riverwalk was formed, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR (and Matt)!

This walking tour covers the history of the town of San Antonio including some key people and buildings within the downtown area. Only about 10-20% of it was a “river walk” tour. It was very interesting, and Matthew (the guide) is incredibly knowledge and personable.

Matt was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Was at answering questions. Have been here before but learned a lot about the city, it's history, and present successes and challenges.

We had a great time, Matthew explained the history around every place we visited. We enjoyed the walk around the river and he gave us tips on where to go to enjoy a good and juicy brisket.

Joseph was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. Even with random questions about something, he was able to riff so well and give thoughtful and interesting perspectives.

Our tour guide Matt led us on a very interesting and informative tour, supposed to be 2 hours but went on for over 2½ hours. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of the history of San Antonio. Matt had a backpack full of complimentary chilled bottles of water. 5 stars!!

Matthew is very knowledgeable about his hometown. Great opportunity to learn about San Antonio. He also accommodated our late flight by providing a tour later in the afternoon after we arrived.

Very interesting and informative tour. Joseph was very knowledgeable. I would recommend taking the morning tour because it was a little too hot in the afternoon, otherwise well done!

Be ready to walk and have a great time learning about downtown San Antonio.....and ask questions! Your tour guide will be more than happy to answer any and all questions. After all, they know the area the best!!! Take a bottle of water (as suggested). I would advise to take some kind of napkins/sweat cloth - if it's summertime, you're gonna sweat! :)
