Karen was an awesome guide. She provided a lot of historical information on Salem. She should be the Mayor!!!

Karen was great!
We enjoyed her enthusiasm and passion for the town of Salem as it went beyond the stereotypical witch tourism. We learned some interesting facts and the spice tasting was better than what we expected. This definitely a true local small business ran tour and I would highly reccomend it! The sweet treat is plus too!
Response from Host, Nov 2025

Try to do it early in your stay to get some history and lay of the land. The morning walk was great as there weren’t many people about yet so we were able to get some nice pictures without the crowds. Take notes on the restaurant suggestions if you plan to go to any. We got so much great info we forgot some of it. The tour gives you some discounts at some of the local stores which was a nice bonus. The morning treat was so yummy we had to go to the bakery and bring some home!
Response from Host, Nov 2025

Karen was absolutely tremendous! We were so lucky to have Karen as our Morning Tour guide and she did not disappoint! A welcoming smile, incredibly knowledgeable and funny. She was very thorough and went above and beyond to make everyone in our tour comfortable. Word of advice…. Take and eat the chocolate croissant and don’t share!! It’s the best! Would highly recommend this tour. Book early so you don’t miss out!

Karen was amazing, she was the best tour guide we could ever ask for. She was knowledgeable in both history, architecture and culture. She went way beyond just the surface of the witch trials and gave a more full in depth guide through Salems history. The coffee was great, the croissant was amazing. She was so kind and understanding. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend.
Response from Host, Sep 2025

This was a great tour. We began the morning with learning about the spice trade, accompanied with a breakfast pastry. We walked from church st to the waterfront with great views, and much to learn along the way. Karen was so sweet and could feel her love of Salem radiate off of her. I would note that the tour lasted longer than the hour and 45 minute listing, so leave some wiggle room when making plans. Overall, this was a perfect way to start our trip.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you kindly, Becca! So appreciate your kind review! So glad you enjoyed the Morning Walk and Salem :)

Karen was a top-notch guide! My daughter and I had a great experience on our tour. We learned a lot about the history of Salem, waaaaayy beyond just the witch trials. We visited a lot of sights, got recommendations on restaurants and attractions, got a yummy treat to eat while on our walk and just had a fabulous time listening to Karen. We ended up visiting a great little art exhibit and did a spice tasting, which was tied into the history of Salem and the spice trade. If you’re going to book a tour, I highly recommend this one. Thank you for a wonderful day, Karen!

This tour was excellent. I highly recommend booking it especially the 8:30 in the morning when there’s really not a lot of people crowding the streets. It’s super quiet and nice and you can really enjoy the walk with the tour guide. Our tour guide Karen was absolutely wonderful. I Full heartedly enjoyed her tour. It was really cool starting at that coffee shop being able to get pumpkin croissants and coffee for our tour. We didn’t have to wait in the line to order our own coffees. It was included which made it better to just grab and go ! Karen was super knowledgeable and friendly, she even gave us great tips for looking at the map of the city, and little tips for great shops / restaurants too.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Thank you so much Allison! It was a pleasure to have you, so glad you enjoyed the Walk and Salem!
Patrick_S, Oct 2024
It was ok. Tour guide was too worried about clearing the sidewalk for other people to walk through our group. Very distracted.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Thank you for your feedback Patrick, happy you found the tour informative. As mentioned, tours are asked to not block sidewalks, especially on the busiest October Saturday of the year. We appreciate guests consideration, sorry if that was a distraction. Thank you again!
AmberSchultheis, Oct 2024

An excellent tour. Tons of history. Very engaging and knowledgeable tour guide. Good recommendations for local shops and food. Showed great regard for the injustices and loss of innocent life in the witch trials (which are a small part of Salem history).

The AM Coffee Walk was a great way to start the day in Salem! The coffee was delicious as was the seasonally appropriate pumpkin croissant. Karen was an amazing tour guide. She was friendly, engaging and a great storyteller. She also made fantastic recommendations along the way and we enjoyed a few during the rest of our Salem visit. Ending with a spice tour was a unique and interesting experience. I’d highly recommend taking this tour and hope to do a food tour on my next visit.
Rochelle_P, Sep 2024
