This was one of the best tours we have taken in Rome. Our very knowledgeable guide Martina took us through two millennia of Italian history and the different uses for this building throughout that time. Fascinating, delivered with great clarity of timelines with a great overview of its inhabitants through the ages and Martina entertained us with so many interesting minute details along the way. I can highly recommend this tour.

This place is great but only with a guide like sylvia , she has a wonderful calmness about her giving this place steeped in history the weight it deserves. We would not have appreciated a tenth of it without someone telling us the various stories associated with each room each artefact , it would have been just some ancient building .

This castle is an amazing fortress. The history is very impressive. Our guide was wonderful and helped us smoothly see everything in one and a half hours because we had another tour to go to. I don’t remember her name but she had short blonde hair and was so very knowledgeable with understandable english which is so helpful.

The essence of sustainable architecture is versatility. This facility was 2000 years ahead of its time having served as a mausoleum, fortress, prison, Popes’ residence, and museum. It has a fascinating history. Martina made this experience exceptional. Her knowledge of the history of Rome and of the complex is beyond impressive. The views of Rome from the upper terrace are amazing. If you’re exhausted by the crowds at other ancient sites, take a breather and let Martina share with you the history of this incredibly versatile structure.

We were met in front of the castle by our guide, who informed us that we were the only 2 on the tour. We really appreciate that the tour was not cancelled and our guide proceeded with as much enthusiasm as if we had been a full group. She was very knowledgeable about the history and art of the castle and covered everything thoroughly. She took photos of the 2 of us together & also gave us excellent recommendations for additional tours she thought we would enjoy based on our interest in the Castle.

This was our last day in Rome and a last minute arrangement for a tour. How fortunate we were to find this new company! Maria was very knowledgeable and personable, and able to adjust our tour according to our questions and interests. It ended up being one of our favorite tours in Rome.
