- The official entrance ticket to Castel Sant'Angelo is priced at €18 and also includes access to the Boncompagni Ludovisi House Museum and the Hendrik Christian Andersen House Museum (access to these museums is not included as part of the guided tour). The museum visits are valid on the same day or within the following two days, until 31 December 2026.
- The full cost of the tour is higher because it includes a licensed professional guide, group coordination, headphones if needed, and various operational expenses. These additional elements contribute to the final price of the tour.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers

Excellent guide. She was very passionate about describing the history of this magnificent mausoleum-turned-castle. There is a lot of amazing art to explore as well. And the view from the rooftop is a plus.

This was one of the best tours we have taken in Rome. Our very knowledgeable guide Martina took us through two millennia of Italian history and the different uses for this building throughout that time. Fascinating, delivered with great clarity of timelines with a great overview of its inhabitants through the ages and Martina entertained us with so many interesting minute details along the way. This place is great but only with a guide like sylvia , she has a wonderful calmness about her giving this place steeped in history the weight it deserves. We would not have appreciated a tenth of it without someone telling us the various stories associated with each room each artefact , it would have been just some ancient building .

This castle is an amazing fortress. The history is very impressive. Our guide was wonderful and helped us smoothly see everything in one and a half hours because we had another tour to go to. I don’t remember her name but she had short blonde hair and was so very knowledgeable with understandable english which is so helpful.

The essence of sustainable architecture is versatility. This facility was 2000 years ahead of its time having served as a mausoleum, fortress, prison, Popes’ residence, and museum. It has a fascinating history. Martina made this experience exceptional. Her knowledge of the history of Rome and of the complex is beyond impressive. The views of Rome from the upper terrace are amazing. If you’re exhausted by the crowds at other ancient sites, take a breather and let Martina share with you the history of this incredibly versatile structure.
