I thought the tour was expertly given by the fabulous Michaela. She was so knowledgeable, engaging, fun, interesting and it was so beautiful learning about the history of the Jews in Rome through her eyes and the city. I would definitely recommend to others!

We absolutely love this tour. We enjoy learning how the Jews were treated in Rome in the past saddened to see the conditions they lived under. Michaela did a fantastic job of explaining everything we saw, and we even had a chance to meet a local author who told his story of his family and horrific childhood he went through

I expected to visit more synagogues in the area. Also, meet up communication was not very good.
However, the use of the hearing devices was very helpful.

Wonderful tour. I was running (very) late due to a taxi strike and the resultant overcrowded public transportation. The guide was understanding and kept in contact with me until I got there. The tours itself was very interesting and informative and gave a peek into Roman Jewish life and the culture. Highly recommended.

Michale was AN AMAZING tour guide with such a depth of knowledge of the history, geography, culture and stories of the Jewish quarter! She was dynamic, engaging and was able to give such life and depth throughout Our tour. She even recognized and shared with us the story of 93 year old survivor who happened to be passing us in the streets! One of the highlights of our whole vacation!

This was the highlight of our Rome experience. Our guide, Michaela was just so knowledgeable and passionate. She led our small group through the Great Synagogue and the streets of this important historical area of Rome, all the while telling us the history and the importance of the Jewish presence in this overwhelmingly Christian city. We reluctantly ended our tour with her, yet she lingered with us as we had delicious Kosher lunch in her favorite cafe, Renato al Ghetto. We even got to meet her children as she picked them up from school. Everyone in the street stopped to say hello to her. Don't miss a tour with Michaela. You'll thank me, trust me.

Touring the museum and synagogue, and part of the neighborhood was such a wonderful way to learn about the history and culture of Jewish Romans. Our guide Michelle was kind and so knowledgeable. I learned many things that I never would have on my own. I definitely recommend this tour!

This is a must-do tour. The tour guide, Daphna, was extremely knowledgeable about the long history of the Jewish people of Rome. She was also a great story teller and kept the narrative appropriate for all ages (unfortunately the Jewish history has some tough stories.).
Highly recommend this tour. It is a trip we will remember forever.

Amazing history of Jewish religion in Rome. As a Christian I did not understand several of the things described but it was still informative. Best part is when we got to meet and hear the story of the 92y/o Emanuel whose family was taken and how her escaped the nazis.

I had no idea of the history behind the Jewish Ghetto. The tour guide was fantastic. She shared personal family experiences from relatives that died at Auschwitz. The ghetto area has changed quite a bit since the Jews were placed on this plot of land. It surprised me how the Jewish people were treated here in the United States. The museum was outstanding with all of the relics. Highly recommend.

It was such an amazing tour. Our guide was fantastic; she and her family have lived there for almost 100 years. She was very knowledgeable about the Jewish History of the Ghetto in medieval times as well as currently. She was articulate and engaging and we learned so much during our time together.
