We did a private tour, just my mom and me. Our guide Eugene was fantastic, shared his deep knowledge of history and love of art during the tour. Appreciate his enthusiasm and willingness to make some adjustments bc of Mom's slower mobility. Was very accommodating, and excellent photographer for us, he suggested great places and angles and took pictures for us too. Could not have asked for a better guide. My mom was appreciative of him and he definitely made her first time in Italy so memorable!

Great way to cover a lot of ground!

We enjoyed our tour, but only 2 of the 6 of us could hear what our guide was sharing about the places we were driving by on our tour. The golf cart is a great way to cover a lot of ground and acquaint yourself with some of Rome’s highlights, but a voice amplifier or head set would have gone a long way to taking this tour from a great ride to an outstanding learning experience. It was a 3 hour tour, and there were no bathroom breaks scheduled or arranged for us. This was the only tour we experienced this oversight, and even when we asked we were not provided an option. That was disappointing but thankfully no one had an accident. We really appreciated the guide’s willingness to be flexible and adjust the tour to drop us off near the colosseum where our next tour began. This was amazing and so appreciated!

Not worth the cost

This tour was quite expensive and described as having an English speaking guide who would share history and other information about the sites toured. Our guide was a lovely man, very nice and really tried to share information but his English was not good and we had a great deal of trouble understanding him. Also, this tour should feature earphones for each participant since it is impossible to hear the guide over the noise of traffic. All-in-all, it was not worth the cost and we did not get much out of it.

We set up a tour for spanish and they thought it was an accident (we booked two tours one in english and one in spanish b/c our group was mixed). It was really disappointing that they got the languages wrong. We also only had one guide for the 3 carts which was not enough. The drivers added some color commentary, but this was mostly just a golf cart ride around Rome. We didn't get much at all as far as the information about the city b/c the one guide was managing too many people and in 2 languages. Really disappointing for the price actually.

Not knowing what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised and impressed by our Golf Cart tour taken our first night in Italy. After reading recommendations to book a late afternoon/evening tour to help stay awake following a red eye from the US, it was the first tour we booked for our 12 day trip. Our tour guide Pacqui was phenomenal! She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome but had such an upbeat and fun personality to complement her narration. Highly highly recommend this your. Our driver Stella was equally fun, and did an excellent job driving in the hectic traffic. Thanks for the best experience ever!

Terrible experience

Terrible! Our tour was cancelled. We were told they were overbooked. We found this out as we were waiting at our pick up location. We were told that they were forced to ask us to change our date. This was not possible as we were coming from our cruise and only in Rome for the day. We were forced to take rome by foot and fogure things out on our own. Still waiting to hear if we will ne refunded. Reading through the reviews, I see there are others with similar experiences. I don’t understand why Viator would continue to do business with this company.

Having Mario as your guide is like having a good friend that lives in Rome. He knows the locals, and the locals know him. He is very knowledgeable and thoughtful, discussing not just the basics of the sites, but the deeper meaning and historical context. We went on many tours while crossing Europe - Mario was the best.

This tour was fantastic! Eugene did an amazing job taking us to all of the key spots in Rome and explaining the history behind each location. He went with us into churches and showed us things we may have missed without his expertise. Definitely would recommend this tour to friends - and would hope they are lucky enough to get Eugene as the guide!

Eugene picked us up and took us on one of the best tours we have ever done. He took us all over inner Rome tailoring things to suit us, but most of all he had an incredible knowledge and passion for the architecture, art and history that made it extra special. As it was also a very hot day we appreciated being driven all over town and just having to get out and walk around the sites. Fantastico!

Alex was a wonderful guide to Rome. It was a first time in Rome, but we only had a day there. This tour was the perfect way to see all of Rome in a short amount of time. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome. His book he brought really helped you understand what the historic sites looked like back in the day. It was very interesting and informative. If you are undecided about taking this tour, I highly recommend you take it. What an incredible adventure!

Vittorio was the best tour guide ever! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. He really made our three hour golf tour perfect. We saw all of the iconic tourist spots with a complete history and interesting stories. But more than that, we saw places that we would’ve never known existed on our own. We saw the most beautiful Basilica I’ve ever seen in my life! The vantage point over the city were the perfect photo opportunities. We got more out of this three hour tour than we would have spending a week on our own! It was perfect! Thank you Vittorio for a wonderful morning!
