What's Included

All you need is a drivers license warm and good socks and shoes and warm clothes, we provide riding gear, helmets and gloves.

Itinerary

Begin with pickup in Reykjavik, then travel to the ATV base camp. Suit up with safety equipment, listen to a briefing, and then begin riding.

Follow a trail into the open country outside and keep watch for the northern lights. The lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon, but Iceland is among the best places in the world to spot them. If they appear, watch as the lights reflect in Lake Hafravatn, highlighting the skyline of Mount Hafrafell. Ride to scenic overlooks with views back towards the city lights, and see the northern stars appearing over the mountainous terrain.

At the end of the ride, return to the ATV base camp for the trip back to your departure point.

Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
Bring Phone with good camera with you. The newest phones can capture the Northern Lights but not the old one. We recommend Iphone 11 or better, the new Google phone and other with night mode or possibilities of few seconds open shutter mode.
Drivers need full drivers license to drive the ATV´s. Passenger can be from 6 years old.
We recommend to wear all your layers, warm shoes and socks, have handwarmers and footwarmers and scarf or good buff for your neck. It can be cold on the Quads.

An amazing, unforgettable experience with a very knowledgeable guide. The weather had been very wet and rainy with low cloud, ATV offered to reschedule to the following night if we wanted but we already had plans. Despite the weather and cloud, we saw the Northern Lights and the guide took lots of photos and shared them with us.

This was such a great experience! Our tour guide was so nice and just made it a great experience. We got to see the northern lights immediately (we got lucky) and had a nice night of driving up the mountain in the ATVs to see more. The experience was amazing seeing the city from the mountain and seeing the northern lights. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was so kind and made sure we had the best time on our ATV tour. Even thought the weather wasn’t the best with on and off rain and a cloudy sky, we didn’t have the luck to see the Aurora. But our guide still made sure the evening was fun and thrilling. Taking an ATV late at night up a large mountain is something everyone should try! Especially those who love some adventure and adrenaline.

Such a cool experience. Our tour guide Helga was so great. Even though we did not get to see the Northern Lights (the moon was too bright) it was enjoyable. She told us a lot of interesting facts about Iceland that I will continue to remember.

The guide was very nice. The ATV operation was very easy and comfortable. The ride was exciting. The trail he took us on was beautiful. The northern lights did not disappoint!!! So much fun. Would do it again and again!!!!

This was most certainly the highlight of our trip, absolutely freezing whilst trying to take pics but well worth it. Anybody that enjoys quad biking and hoping to see the lights should give this a go.

Coming to Iceland without seeing the northern lights is like going to Thailand and not trying the ladyboys. This is the best tour in all of Iceland, and it is a must for anyone visiting.

My son and I saw the most amazing northern light show! I had no experience whatsoever driving an ATV so our guide was very attentive in making sure I was okay and helping me stop and turn on and off the machine! Make sure you layer up so you can stay outside as long as possible without getting too cold during the winter months. Many thanks for the wonderful memories!

What a way to see the northern lights fun riding up the hill outside Reykjavik on the ATV and we got to see a spectacular northern lights display. The guides family joined us on the tour and were very kind bringing traditional Icelandic cakes and biscuits to have at the top. Given our luck with catching the northern lights I would 100% recommend. We were picked up in town early, great communication and dropped off. Clear instructions and super warm kit provided (though I’d recommend wearing your own as extra warmth).

This was another great experience of our trip. While we didn't see any northern lights due to inclement weather, the ATV tour and ride at night was still a wonderful experience. The guide was knowledgeable, and safe. It was an incredible experience driving around Iceland on ATVs at night. I strongly recommend.

Eine unglaublich schöne Tour bei Nacht! Nervenkitzel und Spaß ohne Ende. Unvergessliches Erlebnis für den Urlaub. Es wird Rücksicht auf Anfänger genommen und auch Fortgeschrittene kommen auf ihre Kosten. Die Betreuung ist super und mit viel Geduld wird nach Nordlichtern gesucht. Schon alleine der Blick über Reykjavik bei Nacht war es wert 🤙 Ich würde diese Tour jederzeit wieder genießen. Der Tourguide war einfach Klasse! Hilfsbereit, freundlich und gibt noch super Tipps für den weiteren Urlaub.
