- Drivers need full drivers license to drive the ATV´s. Passenger can be from 6 years old.
- A maximum of 8 people per booking if everyone has a partner or 4 people if all single drivers
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Please note that pickups from some hotels in Down town Reykjavik are not allowed as there are no pickup zone by the government. Next Bus stop is typically in a 2-5 minute walk from your hotel. To choose the next bus stop: Search bus stops in Reykjavik Search the closest to your hotel & select the one nearest. If you don't know your pickup location please send us an email and we can help you. Pick-up starts 30 minutes before the departure time. Be ready at 10:00, 13:30, 17.30 or 20.30, depending on your booking. The pick-up process can take up to 30 minutes.
- In the wintertime we recommend to wear all your layers, warm shoes and socks, have handwarmers and footwarmers and scarf or good buff for your neck. It can be cold on the Quads.

More highway driving than I expected. Guidevwas focused on getting us from A to B. If you saw animals on the way he didn't stop or any photo stops except at tour route stops.

Hello,
We are surprised to hear about the highway driving mentioned in your review. Our tours are designed to predominantly utilize blended backroads, which include a mix of asphalt and gravel surfaces, leading to tracks up the mountain, but we do not incorporate highways into our routes.
Regarding stops for photos, we typically allow these on private tours. However, it can be challenging to accommodate frequent stops for photographs in blended group tours due to the varying paces and preferences of participants.
On a different note, we have a question for you. Are you the gentleman who, during a recent tour, lost a hearing device from your ear, only for it to mysteriously reappear in your seat at the next stop? That particular incident truly felt like something out of another world.

This was an awesome experience. The tour guide was really nice and smart, and he made it very easy to drive the ATV. Got to experience Iceland in a very unique way and learned along the way. Super fun time.

We were lucky enough to book a time where it was just my wife and I. Our guide was amazing and taught us so much about the history and geography of Iceland. HIGHLY recommended! Transfer from our hotel was included in our booking.

It was a great ride. The ATV was one of the best I have ever been on. Handled very well and went right thru some of the small snow drifts on the road and trails. The views were beautiful and my guide was very knowledgeable and funny.

Bjorgvin was a great guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, punctual and efficient. We caught all sorts of weather which is just one of the fun parts of being in Iceland. The gear and the ATVs held up and the ride, the views and the experience are well worth it: sun, rain or snow! A great way to see another part of the country and talk to someone — Bjorgvin — who is very knowledgeable and proud of his tour and for good reason. Would not hesitate to do again, and again!

For the great protective clothing we were provided with as we weren’t blessed with good weather - but it didn’t matter the suits you are given keep you warm and dry.

Great time despite the rain. This is a beginner level experience and would be fun for families and timid drivers. We even stopped to pet the horses on our way back.

We knew we wanted to ride Quads around the Reykjavik area and read about many options that sounded similar. We are glad we chose ATV Reykjavik. We originally chose this group because when i asked if it ascended one or two peaks they responded that it depended on the comfort level of the guests. That was the perfect response. As it turns out, we were the only ones with Bjorkwin, the owner, and we had a great time. As first time Quad riders we didn't know what to expect but we were comfortable enough to keep up the pace and took in both peaks overlooking the city. We stopped to see some beautiful horses as well. A great company and a great activity.

Pick up was on time, lovely drive to the ATV centre.
On arrival, we were greeted by Helga who is ab absolute asset to the experience.
Given all the equipment and shown how to use the ATVs, Helga made us feel comfortable and confident.
Amazing views and plenty of pit stops to take it all in (also got some great photo ops).
The most memorable experience when visiting Iceland.

ATV in iceland is one of the most amazing experiences to have due to its unique landscape and terrain. Our guide Helga was amazing, she was so attentive and made everything that much more special! This is a small group tour but ended up with just 2 of us which made it extra special! I honestly would've made a second booking for northern lights ATV if our schedules had worked out!!!

We had a wonderful time! This is a family ran business that offered great customer service. It was only a 2 of us within the group, along with the owner and his son as our guides! They were informative and fun. Book it now, you won’t be disappointed.

This tour was great fun! I am in no way the outdoorsy type, but riding these ATVs around and up a mountain was really fun. Our guide was fantastic. He kitted us out in gear, gave us instruction before we started out and at each stop checked to make sure we were ok and having a good time. He also explained a little about the terrain and vegetation. Being a city boy, this was a great way to see a bit of the countryside. I highly recommend it!

My friend and I did this ride with Helga on a beautiful, grey afternoon. We had a great time. It was challenging but still okay for beginners. Helga was lovely and really took her time with us. Absolutely absolutely recommend.

As a first-time ATVer, I wasn't sure I would enjoy this trek. The journey exceeded my expectations. They provided everything you need. We had rain, wind, and sun. We travelled by road and then through natural terrain until we reached our hilltop destination with fantastic views of the Iceland landscape. I highly recommend this excursion. BTW, I am 60 and in decent shape. We had 17-66 year olds in our group. Enjoyed by all.
