Hotels in downtown Reykjavik are at a non pick up zone by city council. Therefore you will need to choose bus stop for free pickup, please choose which bus stop you want to be picked from and let us know. You have to be ready at the bus stop at 10:30. Pick-up can take up to 30 min.

In the wintertime we recommend to wear all your layers, warm shoes and socks, have handwarmers and footwarmers and scarf or good buff for your neck. It can be cold on the Quads.

This tour was absolutely amazing! I could not recommend it more. Christian was an awesome guide and the views were breath-taking. It includes jumpsuits and helmets that help to keep you super warm and the bikes were very easy to drive. It was so good we thought about doing it again during our trip!

Our tour guide was very friendly and professional. He picked us up on time from the Hotel and took us to the mountains . It was the first time I ever use a Quad Bike. He was very patient in teaching me how to manage it. I had a lot of fun.

We only took the 1 hour tour, but boy, it was fun. Seeing a completely different side of Iceland than the rugged moss covered lava fields, here was vegetation and trees. A beautiful lake and an expert guide. As with everything in Iceland this isn't cheap. But the quad bike was excellent and great fun to ride/drive. Would recommend if you like good views and a bit of a thrill in the open air.

This was awesome. I am 70 and my wife is 67 and we wanted one action adventure on our trip. The quad bikes are automatic and easy to drive. You just need to steer carefully, control the throttle with your right thumb and gently brake with your right foot. We were picked up by Kristjan who took us to his small farm in a growly and powerful 4x4 to start the trip. We had a short lesson on controlling the vehicle and then were fitted with warm overalls and helmets. We drove down the black sand road, to get used to the bikes, to a lake which is normally frozen but the unnaturally warm weather prevented us from driving on ice. Kristjan was very informative and patient with our questions. We climbed all the way to a mountain top over looking Reykjavik where we had a view all the way to the airport and out into the Atlantic Ocean. Old volcanoes were visible all around. The trip downhill was much hairier but the vehicles are very stable and I only had one minor mishap - into a shallow ditch which was quickly recovered. We went through many large pools of water on a different route and then forded a river to regain our outward route. The other people with us were very friendly and we had a great time. Finally, Kristjan showed us the animals on his small farm and we talked about the extreme conditions that they face in a normal winter and his children's hopes for their future. We followed this with a guided tour of Reykjavik by a young history student, Erik, who kept his audience for the whole 2.5 hours and was a mine of information. A fascinating city.

5 stars, just amazing!! I recommend everyone going to Iceland to take this tour. If you like a bit of adventure and the outdoors you must do an ATV tour. Besides the wind making it a little cold totally expected, even though the tour guide gave us gloves, helmets and an overall suit, it was absolutely perfect. First they taught us how to use the ATV which was very simple. The tour price includes 1 ATV per 2 people which was fine with us. You can each have your own ATV for about 25-30 more. As soon as you leave the farm/building it is beautiful landscapes all around mountains, lakes and fresh air. The roundtrip takes about 1 hour or a little more through water, dirt and rocks. Once you get to the top of the hill/mountain via the rocky pathway, you get a breathtaking view of valleys and snow covered mountains. The guide was kind, knowledgeable and just a great guy. After the ATV riding was over he took us to see one of his Icelandic horses. 100 recommend this ATV tour company and the tour itself, you won't regret it. One of the best experiences of our whole trip if not the best.

The Icelandic guy who took my 6 year old daughter and me out on the Quad bikes was great. He was very friendly and smiley and great patience and ease with children too which made our experience nice and stress free. The quad biking was great fun, he was a good guide showing us around and talking about the area. We stopped at the top of the mountain to eat berries and take in the view which was nice. Even better was that up there, other large groups of people had gathered with their quad bikes and out guy had only taken us so we had a nicer time based on what was good for us beating in mind a small child was sitting on the back of one of the bikes. We were given overalls to wear which were warm and kept the wind out too. Coming down the mountain we got faster and went through a dream which was great fun too and all the time he kept us in view to make sure we were ok. We'd never been on quad bikes before and we were probably a bit girly and sedate for him but he was clearly happy and at ease with whatever our level of ability or inability lol which was probably quite slow paced for an experienced rider. He picked us up and dropped us back into town again after and all in all we were very happy. We had an experience that has given us a great memory.

Fantastic quad biking tour picked up and dropped off to our hotel efficiently, easy to use quad bikes, fantastic tour guide and route with ample time on the bikes. For those wanting to quad bike but not sure which option is the best, this certainly is for value for money!
