100% worth doing. We got to drive through a lot of snow which added to the experience. Beautiful scenery and amazing experience. Tour guides were very experienced, we had pick up and full gear included.

Pick-up starts 30 minutes before the departure time. Be ready at 09:00 or 13:00, depending on your booking. The pick-up process can take up to 30 minutes. Please note that pick-ups from hotels in main-central Reykjavik are not allowed in certain areas designated as no pick-up zones by the City . As a result, you need to walk to the nearest bus stop, typically a 2-5 minute walk from your hotel. To choose the appropriate bus stop: Search bus stops in Reykjavik Search the closest to your hotel & select the one nearest. If you don't know your pickup location please send us a message and we can help you.

What To Expect

Riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is the perfect way to explore the remote, rugged landscape surrounding Reykjavik—much of it inaccessible by car or coach. Your half-day adventure begins with pickup at your Reykjavik hotel and a short drive to base camp.

Meet your experienced guides and gear up with a helmet, gloves, and thermal overalls to stay warm throughout the open-air adventure. You can choose to ride solo in your own vehicle or double up with a friend or family member on a dual-passenger ATV.

Drivers get an overview of operating the vehicle and time to practice before the convoy sets off into the wintry landscape. Cruise along paved roads at first as you head along the outskirts of the city toward beautiful Lake Hafravatn. Admire the glassy surface surrounded by pastures and snow-capped peaks, and then venture deeper into the remote landscape on gravel paths. Feel the full power of your ATV as you cruise up to the summit of Reykjavik Peak, where you can take in spectacular views of Reykjavik and neighboring ranges.

Continue riding up steep mountain tracks and often-icy terrain to the second of the twin peaks, Lava Fields Mountain. The summit here offers even more dramatic views of the otherworldly Icelandic countryside and attractions such as Mt. Esja and the Blue Mountain range.

After your trip, shed your gear and hop back in the transfer vehicle for the return trip to your Reykjavik hotel.

Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required. You must use the 'Single Rider Extra' to indicate how many will be riding solo on a bike (if any).

This experience was amazing. Bryndis was incredibly helpful helping us organise our tour, although things didnt go to plan timing wise she was amazing and helped us out massively! Our morning tour overran which meant we almost missed the ATVing and we were leaving the following day however Bryndis worked with our tour guide Guna and made it possible for us to still have an amazing experience even though it was slightly shorter than the two hours. The ATV riding was absolutely amazing, we saw some beautiful sights and the snow on mountains made it 10x better! Thanks guys, you are a brilliant team 🎉

WOW! That's all I really need to say to be honest! For anyone wondering if this is worth the cost then the answer us 100% YES! Our pick up and drop off was faultless. All the equipment was good and fitted to us all. We weren't able to do all the trails due to snow but we did alternatives and had our full time slot. Views were incredible. Mario was ab excellent guide - took pictures for us when we stopped. It takes a lot to impress the three of us but this completely did!!!

Daria, Mario & Gonzalo made our day! We started in a group tour but after I had a sudden panic attack and my friend had to take over Gonzalo radioed in and got us our own private guide Daria so that we could take it at our own pace. She was amazing! One of the best things I've done in my life!!!! True off roading so not for the faint hearted but the guides make the day truly fabulous!

Our 5th visit to Reykjavik so we booked this very last minute and I am so glad we did! We were picked up at the bus stop at 0900 and it was only a short 10-15 min journey out of Reykjavík. There was hot coffee on arrival and the facilities were great. Helmets, gloves and overalls were provided and were of a high quality. All the guides were fantastic and really friendly and helpful. We felt in safe hands at all times. I travelled with my husband and we decided to pay more and do single rider and we are so glad we did! The 2 hours was the perfect amount of time and we would do it again in a heartbeat! So much some, some scary moments and and all round fantastic morning. Thank you!

I had THE best time on this tour. I was lucky enough to be the only one who had signed up, and even luckier to have Daria as my guide. The terrain is so fun to drive on, and you’re SURROUNDED by insane nature and views. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a little adrenaline rush and a different way to see parts of Iceland. Can’t wait to come back!!

This was probably the most fun we had during our trip. The atvs were easy to control and very quick. The route was incredible and the guide, Sir Kaktus 🌵, was a amazing host, good vibe and very down to earth, the 2 hour ride was worth every penny, gave us full suit, gloves and facemasks to keep us warm and the quads even had heated handles. Full automatic double seater, stopped for photo opportunities also. Fully recommend this activity if you get the chance. It was amazing and I would definetly do it again

I was the ones who sit behind the driver (my bf) and It feels more thrill way more than riding roller coaster. I thought I will fly out of the ATV couple times. My body is sore all over but it’s worth the try. My bf was happy and had fun, I was dying due to his ride. Overall it was a good ride

My friend and I absolutely loved our ATV tour. The guides were friendly, clear, and helpful. My friend and I shared an ATV and they let us swtich at one of the stops, even suggesting which stop was the best point to swap. The view was gorgeous and it was insanely fun riding the ATV. Sitting in the back felt scarier than driving as it does get very bumpy at times. We stopped about three times to enjoy the scenic views and take pictures, and the guards gave us ample time and did not rush us. The pricing was also really good- the best value compared to anything else we saw. 10 stars!
